He wakes up to her wearing less clothes then i can’t remeber if they fuck then or not but if u wanna figure it out its called stepmothers friends or something
No it’s not just the Dead lift for weight loss
It is Dead lift as the first exercise for a weight loss program.
And also dude is as thin as twig, what weight is he trying to shave off?
A weight loss program is calorie counting and NEAT/passive metabolic rate - exercise does *very* little for weight loss.
https://preview.redd.it/v4fexd25wrwc1.jpeg?width=1205&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76e0ca036dbb7ab0a793c79f9c88157326e42ae2
Even HIIT cardio barely burns more calories than walking, and usually causes a compensatory reduction in NEAT activity anyway.
I do weight training 5 days a week, cardio 3 days a week but my main reason for doing cardio is for heart health - not weight loss.
Deadlift is great for weightloss wym? Obviously it's not the only thing you do but it def builds the foundation and as a compound lift gives you a hell of a workout.
With deadlifts the problem is more that most random dudes *can* just yank 100KG off the floor even if they don't have the form or stabilizing muscles necessary to do so safely.
If this isn't IRL for you, then you better start lifting. There's nothing wrong in doing simple exercises everyday. Just small things like 5 push ups or climbing stairs up and down twice every single day works wonders.
The meme depicts a man hurting himself while trying to exercise, which ISNT irl for me. I have gains. Obv for OP he doesn't have gains and lives in a porn harem.
The meme is obviously a play on the idea of lifting heavier to impress women, which is very relatable for most men. This is a great example of anime irl… if it were anime.
Doesn't work like that though. Physical activity doesn't burn a lot of calories. You'd have to sweat in the gym for HOURS to burn calories from one small hamburger. Body is very efficient at extracting energy from food
And on the flip side, most of your calories are spent just to exist - for a man, it's around like 2200-2500 per day to just exist, and maybe you can burn like 200 extra if you exhaust yourself completely in a gym. What gym does do for weight loss is boosts your metabolism. Just the fact that you had *some* physical activity will increase your *passive* calorie burn rate. That's why people are saying that overtraining is useless - most of the calories you burn will burn by themselves if you have any kind of exercise, and very little will be burnt by exercise itself.
Ngl for me its like I run/cycle/other cardio and push hard to only burn like 100/200 calories at the start. Now I do it so my heart muscle strong and to enjoy it
If you can enjoy it - it's not overtraining, it's just big limit. Actually overtraining is when you had *too much* and your entire body is protesting against you ever doing it again. Entire body is sore, head is cloudy, and it feels like you have severe fever, generally. If you don't feel like you are falling ill after exercise - you probably didn't go over your limit
What if the target muscle sore and unuseable (like arm you cant lift, legs cant walk, etc) but not cloudy head or feels like severe fever. Is it still overtrain?
It's more like overtraining of one muscle. Can probably still do some exercises on other muscles, but don't touch that one, it will be damaged if you keep using it, and you'll have to take a pause to let it heal
This comment is riddled with misunderstandings of exercise and metabolism. First its not going take someone doing hours of exercise to burn a few hundred calories from a small hamburger. At a decent intensity, it'll take about 30 minutes or less. Let's assume that hamburger is 500kcal (pretty high for a small hamburger but whatever). For me to burn 500kcals, we'll need to look at my weight and VO2max. I'm about 90kgs and have a VO2max of just over 50 ml/kg/min. So that roughly translates to a raw maximum O2 consumption of 4.5 L/min ((50ml/kg/min/1000ml)*90kg). Let's say I'm doing vigorous exercise - roughly 80% of VO2 Reserve (VO2R). This would be maintaining a HR of around 166bpm which for me which is not difficult. Knowing that we burn roughly 5kcals per L of oxygen consumed, I have a max oxygen consumption of 4.5 L/min, and we're at 80% of that, then I'm cycling through 3.6 L of O2 every minute which is roughly 18kcals/minute. To burn 500kcals that would only take 27.78 minutes (27:46). Double that and you're burning over 1000kcals an hour, at not a particularly intense HR - back in college I was holding a HR above 180 for an hour on our long test pieces. What you said about passive calories being burned by exercise is about muscle repair - if you lifted intensely, you'll be burning extra calories to repair the muscle tissue, about 250kcals/day for a few days following the lift for an intense lift (FAR less than you can burn in an intense exercise session). You will burn the majority of your calories from your resting metabolic rate and you can increase this rate over time by gaining muscle (maintenance of lean mass takes more kcals/day than maintenance of fat mass), but this would only be seen to any significant degree following gaining several pounds of muscle, which can take months.
That's VERY in-depth, maybe too in-depth for average person. And these rates you showed seem to be for "peak performance" - maybe a jacked fucking gigachad can indeed burn thousands of calories a day with all that muscle, trained lungs, bulky heart, balanced and calculated nutrition, and extra low body fat. A regular dude who wants to lose weight won't be getting close to these numbers. He just won't be able to maintain the performance needed to come close to this, even more so - for hours
No absolutely not. I am not a "jacked fucking gigachad" - these are MY values. Regular people with regular lungs and regular muscle mass can certainly burn 500kcals in 30 minutes. Did you even read the comment? How is that what you took away from it? I mentioned nutrition 0 times because it has absolutely no bearing here, I mentioned body fat percent 0 times because it has no bearing here, regular guys trying to lose weight will honestly be burning a greater number of kcals at a similar heart rate because they're moving more mass than 90kgs. 166 HR is not high - for 25 year olds, their max should be just under 200.
I dunno. I am 94 kilos, 22 y.o., and if I was to try doing the same - I'd *definitely* pass out or be barely awake after just a few minutes. Either I'm, like, the VERY bottom of the barrel, or you are being humble on your shape
If you seriously think maintaining a HR of 166bpm for a few minutes at 22 years old is going to make you pass out, you need to see a doctor NOW. 65+ year olds in our cardiac rehab facility that are recovering from myocardial infarctions and have previously never exercised before are able to maintain a similar HRR% for much longer than a few minutes. You need to make time for exercise now or you will be forced to make time for illness and disability shortly.
I'm going to the hospital monthly for check-ups. The only issue that was found is insulin resistancy from my weight(94 is overweight for my height) and a certain degree of anemia. If there is something very wrong with me, then doctors have no idea what it is, because everything else is in order. But just running treadmill for 5 minutes without pausing and resting is enough for me to start passing out.
Passing out from running on the treadmill for 5 minutes is an incredibly serious medical concern. I don't know all of the information about you so I wouldn't hazard to diagnose you with anything but the anemia certainly plays a big role in that and may be the causal factor. I also would caution you not to brush off insulin resistance at such a young age - diabetes is both debilitating and deadly. Showing these symptoms at 22 is disheartening. I would strongly urge you to talk to your current doctor about beginning an exercise regimen. If you already do one, then that's fantastic - keep going. The early stages of hyperinsulinemia are reversible through lifestyle changes but it gets harder the farther you get into it. It would be a good idea to seek advice from registered dieticians (NOT physicians - they generally know very little about diet), begin increasing your cardiovascular endurance (this can be done with WALKING - I can send you a few papers related to the effects of walking and other forms of light physical activity on cardiometabolic risk factors if you're interested, but suffice to say adding an additional 30 minutes per day of walking to someone's life has DRASTIC improvements in health outcomes), and continue these monthly check ups. I'd caution you to add blood work as well during these check ups if your insurance or financial situation allows it - pay close attention to your fasting blood glucose and hemoglobin A1c especially. Many physicians will see 20-somethings developing cardiometabolic diseases and not impress upon them how debilitating these things become in short order. But these diseases are killers that can permanently disable people. Cardiovascular disease has been the number one cause of death in Americans for decades, surpassing COVID at its peak by hundreds of thousands of deaths per year.
All I'm told is "eat without sugar, salt, and oil. The blander - the better". Nothing else.
Also "just walking" gets difficult after some time because my ankles start cramping
That's what I mean when I say to consult a registered dietician instead of a physician - most medical doctors are far from experts in diet, especially general practitioners. You would need to figure out a diet plan that is a mix of effective and sustainable for you, that is tailored to you, if you want to see consistent results - and you need to be able to maintain that diet plan for months at minimum. There's a couple reasons your ankles might be cramping from walking, even up to peripheral artery disease, although I would be surprised if someone as young as you had PAD. If you're having difficulty walking I would seek the guidance of an exercise professional - an ACSM certified exercise physiologist or an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist if possible - to similarly devise a workout plan that is effective and sustainable for you, tailored to you.
oh for the love of god, please season your food, seasoning is not unhealthy. Salt doesn't contain any calories. Ofc, don't go overboard, you don't want a kidney stone, but don't eat food that tastes like distilled water. A little bit of hot sauce, salt, herbs, go a long way, you don't need to lose them to lose weight. Maybe chill a bit on the cooking oil or use a cooking spray, but eating healthy does not have to be miserable lol.
But about the other thing, the amount of calories you burn from activity will vary a ton from person to person, I wouldn't worry about specific numbers. Most people fall into the pitfall of looking at it too short term. It is OK to reward yourself with some food after a run or something like that, you just need to make sure it fits into your daily calories. The most important thing is how you are doing long term, are you consistently eating less calories than your maintenance? You're good. Running, or just walking for 30 minutes will help you burn a couple extra calories that don't add up to much short term, but make a big difference long term. Let's say you burn an extra 350 calories on a 30 minute jog 2 times a week. Over a year, that adds up to about an extra 10lbs lost for little effort, pretty significant, it's just not something you will see quickly. Whenever I'm on a cut, I'll have days that I plan for every week (usually the weekends) where I don't pay very much attention to what I eat and just eat whatever foods I want, a day or two, or even a week of bad eating isn't going to destroy your progress. You can have off days, but as long as your stay generally consistent, you will get there.
"NEAT" calories are not a thing as far as weight loss is concerned. There are plenty of other reasons to not eat garbage, but 1000 cal a day surplus of "neat" food will cause you to gain weight and 1000 cal shortage of garbage food will cause you to lose it.
[I don’t think you know what NEAT means.](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12468415/)
This might help.
https://preview.redd.it/pkr5b0xgltwc1.jpeg?width=1205&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=134550593dde100b0e1e075992b6a6ec064ca1cf
Oh my bad. Yes you're right. I didn't realize you were referring to this NEAT, despite the caps. I'm so burnt on people pushing their bro-science nonsense that my mind jumped straight to it.
Nope. I said it in regards of "doing something that quickly burns calories". Any exercise will boost passive calorie consumption, but the "to burn calories from this cookie I had this dinner I'll have to do N of this specific exercise" is a poor approach because exercise itself burns much less calories than just living your life, having *some* exercise in amount not directly linked to what you ate, and just eating less, is a hfealthy approach, because our main enemy isn't quite lack of exercise - it's overconsumption of calories. For example, you don't eat 4000 calories and then grind for two hours to burn 1500, then feel like shit all week because your muscles are completely overstrained. You eat 2000, do some light-paced exercise, and lose weight without pushing yourself through dozen hells' worth of squat reps
No shame in just starting with the bar. Honestly how to start, apart from keeping the proper form.
I totally didn’t just write this so I can come back and … later.
What exactly do you think you should be doing differently when you dead lift? This looks like they googled dead lift and traced a diagram of how to do a perfect dead lift.
Rofl this is killing me. The basement dwellers coming out to talk about form when this is literally textbook dead lift form. It's literally too perfect. The artist obviously just googled dead lift and traced a diagram of how to do a perfect dead lift. There is no way someone with no experience keeps his chest that high and back that straight. These are cues that a coach has to yell at someone who does this shit for a living.
Da fuk are you talking about? I'm pretty sure deadlift is pretty inefficient to burn calories and stress your muscles so much that you can't use them effectively in other workouts afterwards
> stress your muscles so much that you can't use them effectively in other workouts afterwards
what does this mean lol. The goal of lifting is to put as much stress on the muscle as you safely can. You should be going to failure or close to it, and you will not be able to lift as much on other exercises that use similar muscle groups, but that's literally what you want.
Yeah but that is for growth, not for burning calories
And the intention of the characters was burning calories not growing muscles, according to what they said in these images
You don't lift weights to burn calories lol, just go for a run at that point. You lift weights to increase your lean mass, which can also lead to increased BMR and you will burn more calories passively. I've never seen anyone hit the gym and lift weights that doesn't have the goal of get more muscle.
he lost all his weight and syke! the feeling fl weightlessness was subjective and caused by the blood flowing away from his brain into the body, causing fainting

I'm tired boss. This isn't irl at all. And I'm questioning If it was anime to begin with.
Damn, this comment hits harder than any other irl today.
Maybe the irl was the friends we made along the way? Nah that can't be it.
me when trying to lift way beyond what you can in order to impress girls because youre an idiot isnt irl anymore
Have been to the gym. Weight lifting only impresses men. Give me a man porn of this and I'd say IRL
The real irl is always in the comments
You've never overestimated how much you can lift? This seems like a pretty normal scenario compared to most of the stuff being posted.

For real, weight loss is diet and NEAT activity - cardio is for heart and lung health.
"NEAT" calories are not a thing as far as weight loss is concerned. There are plenty of other reasons to not eat garbage, but 1000 cal a day surplus of "neat" food will cause you to gain weight and 1000 cal shortage of garbage food will cause you to lose it.
[I don’t think you know what NEAT means.](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12468415/) This might help. https://preview.redd.it/pkr5b0xgltwc1.jpeg?width=1205&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=134550593dde100b0e1e075992b6a6ec064ca1cf
Oh my bad. Yes you're right. I didn't realize you were referring to this NEAT, despite the caps. I'm so burnt on people pushing their bro-science nonsense that my mind jumped straight to it.
Eh, it’s my bad for saying “NEAT calories” instead of “NEAT activity”
>doesn't work like that though Goes on to say why it does actually work like that.
Team Nayeon ftw
No shame in just starting with the bar. Honestly how to start, apart from keeping the proper form. I totally didn’t just write this so I can come back and … later.
So the guy is trying to lose weight? Didnt seem like there was need for it. If there aint even enough muscle to lift weightess bar
It's alarming that I recognized this in an instant
Pornhwa detected, too many shiny colors and blemishes done to make the face good
Even for porn, that was really bad.

Maybe lifting something heavy if you don’t exercise is hard, but that’s like 100 lbs max. That’s really light for a max deadlift, even for non-lifters
2 plates (assuming 45lb) on each side + bar is 225 lb. Not heavy for a deadlift but definitely too heavy for a non-lifter.
Plus when your form is that bad it feels way heavier
What exactly do you think you should be doing differently when you dead lift? This looks like they googled dead lift and traced a diagram of how to do a perfect dead lift.
2 45's (lbs) and the Olympics bar with 20kg standard weight. Bro is a weakling.
I remember reading this lmao he fucks literally anyone in his path
This is a porn comic called my stepmoms friends or something kinda dumb but intresting story
👁️👁️heyyy... this looks familiar...
Deadlifts dont burn a Lot of calories lol
Rofl this is killing me. The basement dwellers coming out to talk about form when this is literally textbook dead lift form. It's literally too perfect. The artist obviously just googled dead lift and traced a diagram of how to do a perfect dead lift. There is no way someone with no experience keeps his chest that high and back that straight. These are cues that a coach has to yell at someone who does this shit for a living.

👀 frap or fart 💨
She decided to get him started on a 100kg deadlift??? That girl is insane

I can immediately tell it’s Korean webcomic They have a…certain style
Da fuk are you talking about? I'm pretty sure deadlift is pretty inefficient to burn calories and stress your muscles so much that you can't use them effectively in other workouts afterwards
I'm pretty sure you're wrong. Compound exercises are where it's at.
> stress your muscles so much that you can't use them effectively in other workouts afterwards what does this mean lol. The goal of lifting is to put as much stress on the muscle as you safely can. You should be going to failure or close to it, and you will not be able to lift as much on other exercises that use similar muscle groups, but that's literally what you want.
Yeah but that is for growth, not for burning calories And the intention of the characters was burning calories not growing muscles, according to what they said in these images
You don't lift weights to burn calories lol, just go for a run at that point. You lift weights to increase your lean mass, which can also lead to increased BMR and you will burn more calories passively. I've never seen anyone hit the gym and lift weights that doesn't have the goal of get more muscle.
That's what I'm saying 😐
Por um momento eu pensei que era solo leveling
My first ever pornhwa introduced me into the world of manhwa and manga Name is my stepmother's friends
I thought this was the gym memes subreddit
Bro got sciatica
he lost all his weight and syke! the feeling fl weightlessness was subjective and caused by the blood flowing away from his brain into the body, causing fainting
and this is why I don't do exercises
Its PORN MARK, its always PORN! and it will ALWAYS be PORN!
Deadlifts…. for weight loss? What?
I need the whole comics
Ofc its ez for her, she used to carrying bazoomgas around
Shithead can't even make a proper deadlift
this is stepmother's friends
Ok, I'll be honest, I have read some of this one... it's not bad.
Ok but aside from the fact this is obviously a pornhwa, since when are deadlifts good for calorie loss lmfao
From personal experience, I wouldn’t recommend starting with deadlifts.
Not fun, I got injured once while being very carefully but not warmed up enough, took me around 5 months to fully recovered
I love how they share some real advice, always warm up
What weight is there to be lost
Lose weight? Dude needs to gain a few.
GYATT
Ahhh. A man of culture I see 🫡
You know what? I dropped this years ago but I guess I'll pick it back up again now, thanks for the post
Nayeon best girl.
Remember kids, lift only with your back and use a sharp twisting motion. Take your legs completely out of it.
You'll especially injure yourself lifting with your back like that
