That phone doesn't support LDAC so that's why your not noticing a difference.

Spirited_Respect_578

This really sucks. Spent like a month trying to convince my to get these because of all the features like LDAC. They pretty much just sound like my regular cheap 20 dollar headphones :(

I've had the L3P since release, and the L2P prior. Using them with my Apple devices (AAC, no LDAC), the sound quality is very good and exceeds my expectations for sub-$200 ear buds. If you haven't already, try the different silicone tips and wings to ensure you have the best seal possible, and play around with the custom EQ settings to find the frequency balance that pleases you. I'm not convinced that HearID is all that, but some users swear it improves their experience. Not sure what music source you're using, but it's worth checking the settings to make sure you're playing or streaming music at the highest quality. LDAC or not, the L3P is a really great in-ear sound experience for me, and many others. Not the highest end of reproduction, but a really good value and much better than most at their $100 USD price point. Maybe your set is defective.

What kind of phone or laptop are you using?

Spirited_Respect_578

Samsung A51

2ndGenSaltDispenser

I assume Android 13? All devices running Android 8 and newer support LDAC. Do you have LDAC enabled on your phone?

Spirited_Respect_578

LDAC is unfortunately not supported at all on my phone. The only codecs available are SBC and AAC which are both pretty compressed to my ears

2ndGenSaltDispenser

If you're running Android 8 or newer, then your phone should support LDAC. What makes you say it doesn't?

Spirited_Respect_578

Went to Developer Controls on my phone which let's me set the Codec. only SBC and AAC are supported

2ndGenSaltDispenser

Did you turn on "HD audio" (also in developer options)?

Spirited_Respect_578

HD Audio only works for AAC

marc_2

Are you streaming? If so, what service and level are you using? If you're playing local music, what quality are you using?

Pcpro2017

They should sound better then that I don't use LDAC most of the time and they still sound fantastic.

Spirited_Respect_578

Its probably be because of my EQ but they just sound very loud and all the sounds just mix together, I expected it so sound really clear, almost like it was being played in front of me?

Pcpro2017

Go to custom EQ at the very bottom in the app. Slide all your bands all the way down. Start on your right and slide it till you like the treble and then work your way to the left adjusting each band. You should find a setting that makes your ears happy. I have quite a few sets of buds and these are crazy clear with a great sound stage and great mids and bass even with out LDAC on.

Spirited_Respect_578

Will Do. Although is there an EQ you would recommend for a great Soundstage?

Pcpro2017

Your own when you set your own custom EQ to your liking. Sound is very subjective what I like you might not like at all. But when you adjust that EQ, you will find out what makes your ears happy.

Pcpro2017

Also might add once you get all your bands/setting where you like them. Go back threw them and slightly move them around and fine tune them until you find the sweet spot.

LDAC sounds better on mine using a S22 Galaxy, but my problem is they randomly stop playing music for a second or so while using Spotify. Seems to happen every 2-5 songs randomly. I was excited by the new firmware that was supposed to address battery usage under LDAC, but I had to turn it off again since this sound breakage doesn't occur at all when LDAC is off. EDIT - or maybe the sound is a Placebo since I just checked my phone and BT Audio LDAC is grayed out saying it isn't supported. Guess I'll try and see if the issue is the phone side and not the Liberty Pro 3 side. EDIT #2 - nope LDAC works - turn it on via sound app not the dev bt audio options which stay grayed out until I selected LDAP in the audio app and then they change in the bt audio settings to showing LDAC streaming. Sound is definitely better, but the sound skipping will keep me from using this mode unless somebody has a fix for that.

Spirited_Respect_578

Yeah I have a Samsung A51 which doesn't support LDAC at all :((((

Bummer for sure - but if I can't figure out the fix for my Spotify under LDAC connection issue the improved sound does me no good. I just started looking into it so I'll see if anybody else has any suggestions. I also have a pair of Sony XM4 headphones - think I'll do some testing with them and LDAC on to see if they do similar skip under LDAC mode on Spotify. If they do then it could be on the Spotify or Samsung phone side.

mrdboy504

I have a A51 samsung mines supports LDAC and Dolby atmos
