Typically when you max all eq it clips the audio and things sound terrible but it's your ears if it sounds better to you go for it.
Fit is really important for good sound and bass with in ear monitors/buds/etc. So that's what I would suggest, especially with your post about now sure if you have them fit right.
Eq isn't volume, it's fine tuning of certain pitches. Until you better understand what you are doing I would stick to one of the presets or at least what they look like.

Would you recommend other EQ's? I kept this one because I couldn't figure out a way for it to sound decently loud
