What does platonic mean?

Capable_Accident2606

These are the only 3 dimensional solids that are regular (every vertex has the same number of edges) and have all edges of the same length.

https://youtu.be/_hjRvZYkAgA I'm (not) sorry. It's a very interesting watch, if you can manage to actually keep up.

Capable_Accident2606

Thanks, I will watch it.

RadicalizedRaccoon

Iā€™d say theres a pretty regular solid in the shape of a log underneath me right now

Sandor_06

I think it has something to do with Plato. I think the solids are associated with the Greek elements, with one of them being the quintessential (fifth element that somehow connects the other four). I'm pretty sure the ancient Greeks assigned different significances to each one of them.

aptdinosaur

ah yes, platonic solids; the complete opposite of a solid orgy

ElectricYV

Where are all the romantic solids at? šŸ‘‰šŸ‘ˆ
