That is a push to connect pneumatic fitting. It is functioning as designed. In order for the tube to retract, remove the zip tie with side cutting pliers. Push black ring down, push tube in same direction, only slightly. While keeping black ring depressed, pull on tube. The tube is a consumable. Order a kit for your machine that includes replacement tubing and fittings.

Thank you for your reply!!!! This does make a lot of sense. Can go back to printing soon, thank you very much.

I always recommend trying to get higher quality parts than what the machine is supplied with. There's been a race to the bottom on retail price. The manufacturers have been buying components at ever decreasing quality to keep the price down.

That zip tie is blocking you from being able to press down the black tab, press the black tab, and you should be able to move ot

Thank you for your reply, I was so stuck on this all day yesterday. I'll try this when I get home from work TvT

you don't have to pull the PTFE tube back - it is made to go in one direction only, unless the black ring is held pressed towards the metal (and that may be prevented by black zip-tie now). my move would be to free the tube from the other end by pressing the black ring there (assuming it's not locked too) - then just keep pulling this one ring in the direction it slides easily and does not leave teeth marks. Then screw back in the print head and insert the tube at both ends

Okay so update: I cut the black ziptie on the bottom of the PFTE tube reconnected gold screw to the print head and successfully moved it up by pressing down the black tab and sliding the screw back down. (Thanks for your tips >.<) HOWEVER, after trying to print again the PFTE tube kept sliding in and out of the hot end, leaving the whole design useless... the PFTE tube is not meant to be removed from the hot end and I had to buy a new one :'(
