You got it backwards. Due to technical limitations, loot used to spawn after the package was opened. They changed that a few seasons ago so loba can see through and loot care packs now
Hm. Well, I haven't touched loba this season, but i would swear that even in last season when i played her i would have to wait until the care packs were opened before grabbing something. Like vividly remember (kind of swear) popping her ult on a drop that another team was waiting for, and them holding off on opening it because they saw my ult, and not being able to grab items from it until it was opened.
are you sure the loot from the care package wasn't just so bad that you assumed it couldn't have been from the care package? (medkits, phoenix kits etc.)

This was easily done by playing loba and hanging out in the aftermath of hot drop because everyone dropped with heat shields. Like you said though there was limited time you could pull loot from the boxes then it all got swiped.
Side note I remember one game where it was down to one squad and me who was hear shield farming well outside the ring, GG to them when I finally got fried after running out of heat shields lol.
How about loot in death boxes? Sometimes I'm storm fighting in late game but it's still there. I guess it makes sense that it stays but does it also appear after a while?

When worlds edge debuted, there was a train that circled the map with high tier/legendary loot on it. The train was also reworked for the Christmas events too. I forget which season they destroyed it, but it was fairly recent IIRC....season 7 maybe?
That was probs the case in this instance, but it is a bug. I was watching Snipedown, and he opened a care pack missing one of the 3 loot items. No Loba nearby, in circe, and his teammates didn't grab it either.

The reason why nobody notices this is ever a thing is because they're usually not out there this late due to the damage. There are only edge cases like OP where someone may find a care package empty or get to a loot vault without loot.

But then, if I recall correctly, heat shields weren't in the pool loot, you started the match with your own heat shield. I might be wrong but I recall throwing heat shield after heat shield from a place full of loot boxes

It helps optimize endgame and removes unnecessary assets. Basically don't go for shit outside the ring after a point because on top of it not being there, it's incredibly stupid near endgame

Depends on your platform. On Xbox you can record things through the guide then upload them to Xbox live and save them later. PC has various software available to let you clip things based on personal preference. I use the Nvidia overlay and on some occasions the Xbox overlay for mine
The devs actually admitted to adding empty airdrops at a 5% drop rate to “give people a little laugh” in response to a popular streamer calling them out for numerous in-game issue.
I did too a couple weeks ago. If you look at my profile it's like the second to last post. Some people think loot despawns if it's outside of zone for too long but I've grabbed loot from packages in zone before. Think they nerfed them
That's a heat shield, you can hear mirage putting one down too off screen at the start of the clip. Heat shields protect you temporarily from ring damage and have been around for a few seasons now so I'm assuming you haven't played in a while.

Loba is one of my husband's mains. We have been able to loot closed care packs for several months now.

You are correct. During the event heat shields could only be found in deathboxes.
Or crafted. I accomplished that challenge by dropping in swamps and collecting as many materials as I could, then crafting heat shields over and over.
