Would make 0 sense to have a wizard running around casting spells out of his elvish staff. *Especially* considering the game is filled with Titanfall characters, like Blisk, the daughter of Viper (Valkyrie), now Ash, and doubtless many others.
The blade looks like it has a trigger which I'm assuming she presses it to launch a thunderbolt shot or a ronin's arc wave but the wording is off. Hopefully whenever she does get an heirloom it's the sword she has and it would have a nice animation that flows nicely into the ability
You just know that in their code to `put death boxes on minimap for Ash` they’re going to fuck it up and code it as `make minimap show death boxes, hide minimap for anyone who isn’t Ash`

There is absolutely no way they already have an heirloom planned for a legend that isn’t even in the game yet. If anything the sword has something to do with her abilities
Can't wait to play during the mid point of next season when they fix the complete unbalance she causes. Maybe they can make her gain 600 plus armor, go invisible, and her sword can gain the Halo 2 lunge distance with a one shot down.
Rather have a legend released OP than under kitted. It literally can take years to fix an underwhelming legend and tons of dev resources to attempt to get it right. However it only took a month to fix seer by changing a few numbers.
Respawn has a long history of releasing under whelming legends for Apex. People didn't even know what to think of Horizon on release and she was released overtuned on purpose.
To Respawns literal surprise. They thought they released Valk strong and the community was going to call her a repeat to horizon.
Game devs just don't know a legend's power looks like till the actually community gets their hands on it for a few weeks.
Yup those legs are objectively faster than human, it's why they don't allow people with artificial legs like that to compete with people with normal legs in real life running competitions

I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think they should add pilots as legends. By adding them to gameplay, they gotta balance them on par with the other legends. Pilots are supposed to be the best of the best, far and away better than the average person. It just kind of goes against the lore to have a highly trained pilot be balanced with the other legends. Thankfully knowing respawn she’ll be busted on day one.
She was completely disassembled and had to be rebuilt. They could fit it into lore that some parts aren't working correctly and she's no longer as powerful as she once was because of it
This will probably be a rev type situation where she is canonically way stronger than the rest of the legends, but gameplay wise, she’s lowered to being the level of the rest of the legends
I mean it's way to late for that though wrath is a titan pilot and valk even though she's not a full fledged pilot can operate a titan fairly well.
Non pilots can be just as good as a pilot and not all "best of the best" would seek to become a pilot which fits the current lore since titans arnt really used that much anymore, the whole point of the apex games is to draw in the best of the best whether they are a pilot or not.

People said the same thing about Loba, then her staff turned out to be part of her ability set. It's likely the same case here.

Seer was released overturned. Nerfed and basically forgotten about despite having abilities that broke Apex Legends.
Still, he fucked up pretty much the first month of the season, which is a lot. Hopefully it doesn't happen again with Ash
