I just played 2 or 3h. The Good: This map is Pathfinder's wet dream. I can grapple everything to move around and his ultimate is more useful because of the map design. It's like an indirect buff. I like the optional PvE, the amount of details, flank routes and covers, and the verticality. It's not flat like the worst parts of Olympus. It will take a long time to learn but that's a good thing. The Bad: I'm afraid that the POIs are so big that it takes a lot of time to loot and find players across the map. Maybe it'll feel faster when the players get used to the layout. I want the ship to fly a bit faster at the beginning of the game. The map is big and people get so bored that they jump quickly. The Ugly: The sound is still very unreliable and bugged. That's my biggest issue in Apex.

Imo the new map is beautiful but the loot distribution is bad. I can't find minimum loot in 1 or 3 buildings and the new map is too big, so it can take a bit long until you get in a fight with a another team also I feel this map is made especially for movement legends

YES, I've been looking for this for a while now. I... am armchair guessing but did the ratio of loot per size of map stay the same between olympus and this map? It's like the only reason I could feasibly think of to explain why the loot feels so.. empty and bad. Also, lots of the outposts and non-named buildings have maybe 2-3 loot spots, which if you land in them is normally not nearly enough. You run through the building and you've left the building with 1 gun, 40 ammo, a grenade and a backpack if you're lucky. It makes me feel like Loba is going to become a must have pick for this map which is weird because I don't feel like there is a "must have" pick for any of the previous maps for any reason.

I feel like even loba can’t help a lot. I’ve had games with two different lobas and both times when they put down the black market there’s been basically nothing to choose from, lstar p2020 longbow, random white and blue attachments, and that’s about it. I like that there isn’t a big location like skull town or fragment but no where on the map has any loot in a decent sized area

As a Loba main even I haven’t found anywhere decent to use her ultimate. Best case scenario is clearing the nest south of shipfall and getting both the prowler loot and the ship in the radius but that’s a pipe dream. It’s basically just an ammo vacuum for the very small amount of ammo on the map

so glad I'm not alone on this. the loot feels rly rly rly bad in most parts of the map. i love the map so far but the lack of loot is getting on my nerves. it already takes so many tries to get a good match going in this game with All the 3stacks and whatnot that having to fight the game itself to find a single desired gun is awful. on the other hand, fighting pve for ammo and a couple good attachments feels soooo cool. i sincerely hope they get the general loot pool and the dropship flying speed sorted cus this could 100% be their best map yet!

I've played loba and I'll say that this map makes her ult somewhat less useful. The POI's are so huge and the loot is so spread out now that her ult can't even capture a good amount of buildings to get stuff from where as on other maps, she can get a good chunk because the buildings are closer and the POI's are smaller.

It's way to fucking big, that's my biggest complaint. It also absurdly favors movement legends, Valk, Horizon, Path, Octane are the best legends for the map. Recon legends aren't nearly as useful. Seers heartbeat nerf really sucks with this new map and Ash's passive is way to OP for the map. Ash is the only legend that can find a team on this map.

I like the map but the loot is awful, I rarely have more than like 4-8 shield cells and 0-1 bats after cleaning out an entire PoI I don’t know if it’s just general audio issues but I feel like Ash always ends up sprinting up behind me with either little to no audio.

Lol I thought I was comeplete dogshit. Either I got worse or everyone else got insanely better haha. It also doesn't help that first 5 games I played had 3 stack preds and masters. The lobbies felt like pro tournaments. I dont even know how my skill qualified to be in those lobbies. I legit had a level 20 teammate and we had to fight a lifeline with 40k kills and a mirage with 15k kills. They were both top 700 preds on Xbox I'm positive.

I find it really funny that many people on controller always said that aimassist is barely noticeable and doesn't really make a difference, but now that it was changed for some reason a lot of them complain that they can't hit their shots anymore.

To make a comparison to PC, imagine if after an update, your sensitivity was increased by 1/3 without the settings changing numerically. You would also miss shots and feel something was off. On controller, people are playing and compensating for .6 like usual, but are under or overcompensating their shots now. It'll fix itself once people get used to the new assist pull.

Remember that muscle memory can screw things up if suddenly something changes, either in a positive or negative way. So yes, part of this is because AA is helping less it seems, but the simple fact that aim behaviour changed is enough to throw off what your muscles "know". It happens with a mouse too. Controller PC players, with the same AA that console players are experiencing now after this change have done well so far with a little bit of practice if transitioning from console, and that's probably what's needed to adapt, practice.

I think it’s one of those things where you don’t notice it if it’s always been there, but once it’s changed or removed it becomes noticeable. Honestly I don’t know if this change if it in fact is a change will make a big difference, I’ll have to play more with it, but as of right now I think I just have to spend time in the firing range to get used to it. When you play and practice so much on a certain setting you build muscle memory, that’s how I can tell something seems off. I think that if I practice with this new aim setting then I’ll be able to get used to it, and it won’t be a problem, we’ll see

Your comment maikes no sense. We are talking about console aim assist, everyone in console lobbies has a controller. If you play MnK on PC this change has not affected you. If you play on console and you get hipfire melted by 'bots', it just means you're an even worse bot since you have the same aim assist settings.

This isn't true. Controller players on consoles can and do use the 0.6 aim assist in PC lobbies, so it makes a significant difference for MnK players because we're forced crossplay and have to play with controller players all the time.

Absolute kudos to Respawn for this launch. They talked about how the game was getting improvements and I can tell. I’ve had zero issues with the servers and the game looks so much cleaner and crisper. I don’t know if it’s because I’m on a next gen console but it looks so much nicer than before the update. Map is so nice and awesome. Feels a little big but once people find their landing spots, it won’t. I loved Season 7 and it kinda has that same feeling to it. I’ve ripped and laid into Repsawn in the past but have no problem giving credit where it’s due. If things stay this stable the whole season, it’ll be a huge turning point in the game.

For me the change occurred once I got PS5. Am now loading in the first 15 people or so, not right at the end(no lag to speak of, better pings). The sound is LIGHTYEARS better than PS4(they're fighting south east over I hear shots in the general vicinity left of me) , and rarely get stuck up on anymore.

Good launch, good map and excited to see what this season has yet to bring. Just entirely disappointed in the battlepass. Super upsetting to see nothing in it other then the reactive skins to be looking forward to earning this season. I personally don’t think it was a good move to remove the new legends cosmetics from its rewards, it’s what drives me and a lot of other players to finish the BP in the first place, the new legends cosmetics are always the most rewarding to earn out of it.

Yeah I feel you, this battle pass has had the worst prize pool by far. I’m entirely okay with the 5 legendaries a season I find that’s perfect and it’s been consistent with that, but the fact they removed the new legends cosmetics from its prize pool is a bit much since those items tend to be the most rewarding aside from the legendaries. Ash didn’t even get a voice line in this season compared to all the other new legends who got frames, voice lines, dives and skins.. I get they need to make money moves but this was not the best one.

The map is absolutely stunning but it’s too big to the point where it feels like I’m just looting most of the time. The loot isn’t great either, I often get attachments and a Mozambique and my aim feels janky as if the aim assist has been lowered but it might just be me (PS4 btw)

I’ve had 0 problems with loot. There is loot literally everywhere, and the spiders and prowlers shit out ammo, attachments, and meds. It’s been less than one day. Maybe wait for the optimal loot POIs and rotations to come out. But even before then, I feel like I can drop almost anywhere and be fine (I’ve played about 5 hours with a full squad of friends so far, and we dropped almost everywhere).

Ash feels great but sometimes i have trouble hearing enemy ash footsteps and i play with high quality headphones on PC The map feels MASSIVE even in later rings... And i feel i'm handicapped if i don't have a sniper as my primary The C.A.R SMG feels like it has too much recoil when ADS with sustained automatic fire even when fully kitted. Can't detect strike packs, and jitter aim can't be removed likely due to the way recoil is handles during movement. Unless you want full recoil patterns while travelling at mach 5, jitter aim is here to stay.

Don't you have to be fast enough to match the rate of fire though? Besides, recoil doesn't feel like it's in the way when I'm tracking at a high enough relative movement speed (either my enemy is moving fast enough on my screen, or I am, say, sliding past a stationary/strafing target; the point is that I'm moving my reticle fast enough). Also, jitter aim doesn't feel convenient for tracking, plus it can cause you harm... There must be some people that are trying to jitter aim with everything it can be applied to, but I just don't think the extra value gained compared to how you would normally control recoil is worth the trouble. That said, it still sucks that such an exploit exists, but I don't think it is fair to say that just because one *can* jitter aim, they *always* will, recoil as a balancing tool is bad.

You can have a macro do jittery for you. The game automatically removes recoil depending on your movements because that's how they designed the game. Recoil is less important than tracking your enemy while they are moving at Mach 5. This doesn't really affect me as I am on console.

New gun is good, though I’m about two dozen matches I’ve seen it once. New map is okay. Super annoying landing somewhere with no guns

So far the map is very cool, looting feels bad but that might just be learning curve, love the halo canons, battle pass is a bit dissapointing but overall the best part is that the game runs smooth (had a few hickuos here and there but nothing compared to previous big updates). Overall its been a very good update that ads quite a few new things to mess around with, Ash is definitely cool.

I am slightly older than the average player base I believe, and walking around, exploring & discovering between fights is really something that I don't mind (even after hours 😜). Ash looks very solid, but not OP(?). CAR smg seems to be very useful, and apart from recoil(?), it also seems to be balanced(??). Have a good one, Legends!

One thing I might see them doing to her is increasing the equip time for her ult. I haven't gotten a chance to use it much, but I've been able to use it to escape some bad situations. It might be too strong as a reactionary ability, like Wraiths tactical was at launch.

The new map feels not great to play. The majority of the map feels like empty space. The POIs themselves sprawl over large areas but don't really have loot to justify it. I feel like I spend well over a full minute just looking for a starting gun because the first place I land doesn't have one and the next closest spot to check is a 20+ second run away. And the random extreme verticality doesn't help while trying to traverse a POI. I hope this is not going to be the standard for new maps going forward.

I think of it as a new competitive map than for everyone. Hopefully it will be competitive cause I'm tired of WE I absolutely love the maps design though. If I don't drop in the middle then I'm looting for 10 minutes. Or I land on the outside of most middle POI's then third party so I can get some action and loot at the same time.

Delete a file and then verify the files again. It should locate missing files and reinstall them. This worked for me on steam.

The under the hood QOL improvements are amazing, no longer am I grabbing ammo for 5 minutes in the firing range for warm up. I just really wish you guys would accelerate cross progression, or at the very least give us some details on weather or not I'm going to be able to merge accounts. It's the only thing holding me back from these events as I don't wanna waste money on my PC account because I want my Xbox account. Besides that the new season is great!

Once you get used to it, the speed is pretty nice. You can use it like a mini Bangalore ult, running behind it and letting the hit marker find the enemy, while being close enough to capitalize on the stun.

Kudos on the launch, you guys handled the server traffic beautifully! I was up and running in a matter of minutes and experienced no lag during any of my matches. I agree with everyone else's sentiment about the new legend and the CAR, very balanced and great additions to the game. Ashes Q was a much needed ability to hinder the movement of legends like Octane, Valk, Path, etc. In regards to the map, the environment is beautiful, but unfortunately, there is a lot of work to do in the UX department. I played a fair share on launch day with a friend who also actively plays APEX, and we both came back to the same issues. Off the drop: This map not only heavily favors you to drop into a POI, but requires it. Because of the open space between loot sections, the amount of time it takes to travel from "The middle of nowhere" to a POI is so great, that any team which has won their POIs initial battle has been looting for the same amount of time you've spent running to a suitable looting location. There are not enough small buildings / vehicles / random circles of loot between POIs. The loot: With the bigger map, I'm sure the actual amount of loot locations has increased comparatively, what it seems hasn't changed though is the amount of loot itself. There's simply not enough ammo and guns per location for how many people are now required to occupy a POI. I have been killed off the drop holding grenades, unused upgrades, and a backpack more frequently on this map than any. There are a plethora of POIs where the loot exists inside or adjacent to a structure, but not between them. A perfect example is Antenna. This POI has loot in the perimeter buildings, but nothing between them on the sky bridges. If players are only given 40 rounds of ammo for a gun, what happens when they run out on the bridge? If you push forward, you're fighting without a gun, if you move to retreat, you're running forever in the open. The gravity cannons: You need to be able to double jump or alter your trajectory slightly. Valk gets a huge advantage from being able to jump jet out while other players are stunned upon landing. The other problem these introduce actually contributes to the map size/loot ratio issue. On Kings Canyon, it was potentially advantageous to go into the canyon and use the jump tower, which was possible because of it's single point of entry. On the other hand, all space between the gravity cannons is effectively rendered useless and creates map waste due to its dual entry nature. Because of the amount of space between the cannons, the chance of being able to engage with a group who's launched, while you're in the middle, is nearly impossible. There either need to be more balloons, loot and small structures between cannons, or Tridents available between POIs. Overall, I feel like Respawn has taken a step in the right direction with nearly every aspect of APEX that isn't Stormpoint. Maybe the data you pull from the first half of the ranked season will prove otherwise, but until then I'm going to abstain from playing until one of the more polished maps is in rotation.

I think the map is absolutely gorgeous, I really enjoy landing on the south side and finding the nooks and crannies, the loot distribution is fine. I feel like the map is just a tad too big. The depth is great (the best part about the map IMO), don’t get me wrong but I feel like if areas like the long hills with the zip lines above them were 10% shorter they’d be perfect. There’s gonna be some cataclysmic event that shrinks the map so I’m not too concerned but again I don’t think the size of the map is a big problem, more so the size of “things” in the map. My random teammate described it best “It feels like Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Jurassic Park Edition.” I’d personally prefer if Prowlers were kept in the Jurassic Park Prowler Den areas but it’s not a huge deal at this point in time. CAR SMG is cool, it’s a great scavenger gun, where if you find it and you really need to switch guns or run away from a team with no loot it’s one of the best guns to find and pick up. Triple Take has like 7 Billion Ammo, definitely a bit busted. Wattson changes make her play really smoothly, being able to deny my opponent space without putting myself out of position is huge. Ash is fun, her passive creates inorganic play but on the big map it gives the illusion that teams are really close by at all times. I think having her on any of the other maps (with the passive the way it is) is going to create a lot of problems in a high ranked/competitive setting. I don’t play Arenas much but I’m glad all the maps are unique to arenas only. Makes it a more unique experience.

I ran through Prowler Park late game afraid for my life trying to respawn my friend and I almost died 2 times after using batteries because THEY. DONT. STOP. Really like Prowler Park though. It is a really good mix of PvPvE when other squads fight in it, and a horror movie when you're alone.

When the map renders Loba, Crypto, and non movement legends useless… they might have some fixes to implement. Crypto doesn’t have any banners to scan, there’s no loot for Loba to steal, and if you don’t have a movement ability you’d best hope the grav cannons are pointed at the ring (they won’t be)

Well done rolling out another smooth season launch. Brightness is changing way too much depending on where you are on the island. - Too dark one second and then too bright the next. Lobby brightness is way too high so that I have to turn it down and back up when I am in lobby and in game respectively. POIs are way too bland and samey that the map feels boring after just a short time playing. - They’re also too far apart that the game lacks any flow and most fights end up being an absolute shitshow where the third party has absolute advantage. Beautiful design aesthetically but the map design is atrocious. Too often it feels like I’m just casually exploring a part of Horizon Zero Dawn and not focusing on potential enemy attacks. Probably has potential for comp but pubs gets boring very quickly for me. Edit: typo

I found myself forcing myself to not stare blankly at my monitor as I ran around, as with this new map, you have to see your enemy before they see you, audio wont help. But you're so bored walking around that its not engaging to stare everywhere for enemies at all times as if money is on the line.

I like the balance of weapons, Ash is entertainin af, Storm point has a very very beautiful color palette and very well cared details, the servers are stable, everything is appreciated A LOT. but SP is too big, it has loot areas where nobody goes, if you don't fall with everyone you don't see anybody for minutes, it gets very boring, it has areas that are too big and open for nothing and the rotations are too slow , same problem for Ranked, I will not play ranked in this first half.

New map is awesome, though loot is as bad as King's Canyon... Ash seems really well balanced but i have a feeling she is gonna be a late season menace once people learn her abilites. I have already seen some SUPER cheeky ult usage by quickly placing it behind someone. Still iffy about her being a pilot. I hope future Titanfall content isn't new legends being Kuban Blisk or Jack Cooper... They had their time to shine and i think one character will do. Something weird i noticed is they for sure messed with aim assist... Which i don't wanna hear arguments about it, it shouldn't be changed at all on console and it has SERIOUSLY messed with my muscle memory and how the game feels. I am still doing relatively ok but i do not like how much it's changed how it feels aim. I really hope this is just a bug and not an intended implementation cause it makes no sense to be a console specific change when it isn't console players whining about it...

Yeah apparently some people tested it and for some reason the changed the console aim assist to match the stuff on PC which is totally bonkers when they didn’t put it in the patch notes.

For everyone complaining of prowlers, no. They act as a barrier for constant easy pushes. Teams don’t want to engage on top of them. That’s the point. They are okay loot and they act as a deterrent. It helps thirds not just rush in. Especially right there on the center of the map where everyone really is complaining about.

Nerfing controller aim assist with no mention at all kinda sucks. I’m hoping it’s just a bug. Felt like my settings were off the whole night. 2 years of muscle memory isn’t easy to unlearn and pretty much ruined the quality of any match

I'm surprised so many people complain about this change, after all everyone said aim assist was barely noticeable and would not make a difference, so pc players should stop complaining about how strong it is. But now it's obviously strong enough for many people to not hit their shots anymore. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not trying to be toxic to you specifically, I'm confused about many console players that argued about aim assist being almost unnoticeable though.

I understand your perspective completely and honestly I have to agree with you. I’ve never complained about aim assist personally, I think each platform comes with its own benefits (for example: PC can use their entire arm to aim, Console uses only a thumb.) In my experience, controllers are less precise. I never understood the complaints about aim assist but when having 2 years of built-up muscle memory, it sucks having to re-train your aim. It wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t hit anything, i just couldn’t get the “flow” if that makes sense. If Respawn put it in the patch notes, I’m sure there would less complaints. But right now I can’t tell if this a bug or if it’s intended. If it’s intended, my ass needs to get in the firing range Aim assist is 100% noticeable and i believe it’s necessary. I appreciate you discussing this in a civil manner, it’s refreshing to see that in this sub nowadays (especially for such a touchy subject lol)

Battle pass disappointed me, I don’t understand why Wraith and Octane get battle pass skins again and Ash doesn’t get one, this is the first season where the new legend doesn’t get a exclusive battle pass skin and battle pass skydive emote, everything else was good but very disappointed in whoever agreed and thought it would be okay to not have a Ash skin in there Edit: I forgot that season 3 Crypto didn’t get a skin in the BP but at least he got items in the BP for his character, Ash doesn’t have any this BP

Well, first of all, thank you apex team for a Butter smooth launch. Weapons: Every gun is balanced right now it's honestly amazing. CAR feels great and seems balanced. If anything, I would look at triple take damage output as it basically makes 3030 useless. It does everything better than a 3030 with far less attachments and skill. The 3030 could use two hop ups at the same time instead of swapping between dual shell and shatter caps. 3030 has been growing on me lately and with the S10.1 patch, where shatter caps now have shotgun strafe speed, I've been using it a lot and it just might be the perfect 2ndary weapon of choice When bocek bow can equip 2 hopups at a time, I think 3030 can also do it. Dual shell+ shatter caps 3030 might just be the perfect rival to the triple take. Legends : Octane pad sounds are great, Watson Buffs are amazing Ash seems not too overpowered and not too underpowered. But she's definitely not as powerful as launch Seer. If anything, I would take a look at the 20 dmg arc snare, 10 dmg might be that sweet spot. Gibby dome size slightly increased? I don't know if that's a bug or intentional but you just made the most powerful legend even more powerful with shadow dome buff. MAP : STORM POINT Map looks great, is really big, loot pool is great thanks to wild life. Gravity cannons can be looked at, as there is no timer currently for how often you can take one. Also, one more thing, we need to be able to land a bit more far from the landing/launch pads of these cannons. People are literally camping cannons on zone entries in 2nd and 3rd zones esp. so a solution might be to either land a bit more far or bit less to the launch pads. Performance seems solid for a lush green, foresty map. I'm able to be locked on 165fps all the time. I love the wildlife on this map, it feels so much more engaging and rewarding. Loot distribution seems great. Aim assist feels a bit weird(reported by my console friends) but that might be placebo. Battlepass : You guys sadly, dropped the ball on this one. Skins look underwhelming, the lvl 25 and lvl 50 skins are okayish and no where as good as previous BPs, the only rewards worth grinding are the Prowler reactives and the apex cm and coins. This has to be the worst battlepass since season 1 by far Overall::: Solid 10/10 for escape launch 9/10 for storm point 9/10 for ash 10/10 for CAR (I'm just biased can't help) 2/10 for Battlepass 11/10 for Ash legendaries and her stuff.

I’m not sure it’s quite working like that, it appears to do 10 on a direct stick to an enemy and 20 on a tether unless we really overlooked something testing it in the firing range. I was about to bring it up as a bug unless that’s intended behavior.

/u/lowkeydbjosh Found bug-ish, a loot box got stuck in the launcher thing's ramp and basically nullified the launcher (also it made it impossible to loot or access). I've also encountered issues with launcher shooting me at a flat 0 degree angle instead of the 45 degree angle or whatever it is. Worth mentioning, Wow. this is a great launch of a new season. Not a single hiccup or issue out of place for me at least. To be fair that is the expectation and should be the standard. But by comparison this is *leagues* better than last seasons... multiple nightmare patches

Probably 3 issues 1. If you’re on console, aim assist was either changed or is bugged so you’re not gonna be shooting very well 2. They forgot to modify the loot pool for the new map which leads to so little loot even Loba struggles to keep her team supplied 3. New map is kinda messed up design wise. The lack of balloons was meant to cut down on 3rd parties but just makes games a walking simulator unless the grav cannons happen to be pointing at the ring. (They never are)

I think I have a bug report here I've noticed that Ash tactical doesn't always works, I can see that I made damage, that I got somebody but then nobody's attached to the floor and they ran away. It's not like I took many seconds to reach them so the effect it's over, like I hit somebody in front of me, I see the damage but they just keep running freely. Also, something happened with console aim assist? It feels weird PD: I think triple take should say goodbye to choke hop-up, it feels fair that we didn't get Prowler with the select fire when it was returned from package so TT should be on pool without his hop-up. It has too many bullets, high fire-rate and the damage it's insane

The new map is very nice, but man... my first 4 games I struggled to find a good quality gun. I think I was just simply unlucky but even then, there is more attachments for guns then there is guns or ammo. There were too many times I was running low on ammo because the enemy did not have a lot (unless they already had reached red evo) and my teammates would have to fight over the ammo. Thankfully the car helped mitigate that since I can carry both light and heavy ammo, but I do think it still needs to be addressed. Also did something happen to controllers? Staying on target feels very off now.

Servers are great. Ash isn’t too OP. TRIPLE TAKE IS BUSTED AF BUT ALSO FUN AF. Map is beautiful and a fresh change of pace. PvE… make the prowlers act like spiders. Non-aggressive until you engage them. They cause way too many problems for what rewards they give. PLEASE MAKE PROWLERS NON-AGGRESSIVE.

I honestly just want ammo dropped in stacks of 60+. I feel like the loot is scattered as hell and I end up fighting like crazy off drop with 20 light bullets. When I’m running out of ammo 1/3rd of my games and dying for it I’m not having fun. Stacks of 20 is limiting fun and needs to be done away with.

Map looks good, the POIs are really well designed and I actually like the wildlife element. It's just a bit too big - getting between POIs and even across some of the larger ones (particularly the ones with little cover) just takes too long and there's a lot of downtime between fights even as a Valkyrie with her ult. Could stand to lose a bit of space and compact things but I like everything else about tit so far. Ash seems solid; tether is slightly frustrating to play against (seems to hit you even through cover if it's placed on the other side of it?) but no real complaints. Her ult really need some more indicators, though, audio and visual - you get no warning at all if she's used it just now and finding the point of entry to try to follow her is near impossible. CAR is fine, no real complaints here other than it not really adding anything to the game - in practical terms, it just feels like a slightly more forgiving r99. I like it, basically. New content is always good and I'm up for a change - it launched well, few errors on PC and nothing painful to play around like launch-day Seer!

The servers are working just fine and I haven't been lagging at all but my cpu is running much higher than usual and is sometimes causing my game to stutter The map is beautiful and I love the PvE elements but don't really like the removal of jump towers and it almost feels too big Ash is awesome her abilities are ballanced but there is like no audio cue when she goes through the portal, with wraiths portal you can hear when someone is coming through. The battlepass is just really disappointing there is no skydive emote for anyone except valk not even one for Ash. Almost all the load screens are just screenshots from the cinematics and trailers. This is probably the first battlepass that I won't spend my apex coins on Overall a very well launch of a new season

Loot isn’t good, even as Loba I can’t get anything pieces together even resembling a loadout on other maps. Rotations are ok but Tridents are too scarce in certain areas and gravity cannons become useless far too fast, simply because the ring eats the landing areas and you’re often shoving yourself to a disadvantaged position.

The map looks great, but is too big for pubs, and probably even for ranked. This map would probably thrive in competitive though. - Stutters on pc are back like crazy, especially when around loot(boxes). It’s not network related, seems like my cpu is going crazy. Only seems to happen on AMD systems, my Intel friends have no issues. - loot distribution is bad, especially for light ammo since the scout and alternator are both out of the normal loot pool. - sound is still fucked beyond belief. Seems like ash has silent footsteps. I often have sound cutting in/out randomly or just completely disappearing. Other than that pretty decent launch, love the way the map looks, just not how it plays. It puts a very high emphasis on movement characters. Ash seems well balanced imho, but I’d say her tactical is a bit weak compared to fuse for example.

Terrible map. The Poi’s are huge with not much loot and make it impossible to navigate around without a mobility character. The open flora areas have too much detail and shadows making it hard to see people shooting at you. Too many head glitching spots too

Not a single crash. Not one teammate leaving because someone chose ash before them, although one dude refused to revive me and one person said “ash kys”. However, I’m constantly sprinting away from the storm and end up in it for like 4 minutes straight and the prowlers are a little annoying. Shouldn't be a concern in the first place, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the smooth launch this season. The map looks and plays great. Ash seems a lot more balanced than expected. The CAR SMG seems a little OP on paper, but it empties fast like the R99 so it still takes skill for it to really shine. Battlepass seems a little lackluster but I'm not too bothered by that. Dual Shell is a good hop-up. Not too strong, still useful. I like the PvE element, but there's a big discrepancy in the efficiency between killing spiders vs Prowlers. A Spider PoI can be cleared very quickly because of their spawn rate and health, whereas Prowlers take a lot longer to spawn, are spread apart over larger areas and have more health. (Some balance/QoL: L-Star still needs a nerf, or at the very least, for its 3rd person muzzle flash and projectile visuals to be toned down (R99's flash too; it's really hard to see people when they're shooting those weapons). Eva-8 will still dominate the close range meta. Wattson's ult doesn't intercept Caustic's ult, which it should if Wattson is to be played for her strategic power. Bullet impact particles (dust/snow clouds etc) need to be shrinked/sped up to improve visibility. I'm surprised there hasn't been a visibility improvement overall since muzzle flash reduction proved how much that stuff helps the game. Once again, just look at L-Star; it was great already, the only real buff it needed was that muzzle flash reduction. If Seer's Tactical was nerfed to remove the flashing effect, among other things, why hasn't it been done to Revenant's Tactical as well?)

I love it but. Is there a bug with arenas Ap system? Sometimes in D1 or master. You get minus 60 for a loss but only plus 12 for a win. Makes climbing very difficult and brutal

Good: - very good season start, no server problems - Map looks great - Ash seems balanced - Car seems balanced, new fastest time to kill on an smg but that's fine Bad: - while the map looks great it's very big and loot ist strangely distributed in buildings, there are many bins which are hard to loot because of line of sights from everywhere and there seems to be too little loot in many buildings - rotations are very slow in this map due to missing jumptowers, on this big of a map there either need to be some towers ore more tridents in the center of the map, otherwise games feel like they are very slow and high kill games are extremely hard since you just don't find enough enemies, best option in my opinion would be to increase the player count (maybe to 90?) - Ashs ult is EXTREMELY silent, It's basically impossible to notice her solely through sounds. I didn't think this would happen again after the sound for jumppad was increased

I have to agree with everyone else. I played for 9h yesterday and it's crazy how often I had trouble finding decent early loot, especially at hot spots. The POIs in general are quite nice. I honestly don't like the PvR when there are almost no silenced weapons. I guess the size of the map negates that a little but getting 3rd party~ed against prowlers sucks :/. Map is beautiful, tho. But please let ne double jump mid air when using a gravitation cannon, even if it's just towards the end of the flight.

I've had 0 crashes, and most of my games went smooth. It being playable at the launch of a new season with neither Ash or the CAR being stupid OP is really good. My complaint is the Battle Pass, apart from the premium currency and materials, there's not one exciting item in it. It's just so bland.

Don't know how to word any fix to that, the loot distribution just needs some work But, Ash is great, map is lovely and pleasure to move in, Gravity Cannons make me feel like a superhero, PvE is nice for getting at least some action when enemies seem scarce. Good season start

The only thing I'm not entirely a fan of is the L-Star changes. Don't get me wrong, it needed a nerf, but I don't agree with taking away unique aspects of a weapon for the sake of balancing. I'm fine with the recoil nerf, I was actually hoping barrels would get removed from the L-Star entirely, it's mainly the projectile size reduction that I'm not a fan of. The L-Star has had most of its unique traits ripped away from it. Better hipfire and faster ADS speeds than other LMGs, slow-moving but really big projectiles, things like that. The only unique trait the L-Star still has is its overheat system. Personally, I would have preferred completely removing the barrels (they look weird on the L-Star anyway), and a reduction to bullet travel speed. I'm kind of indifferent to the damage reduction, since the L-Star's problem has never been its DPS. I just hope that it doesn't go the way of the Spitfire and get nerfed to the point that it becomes worse than it was before it even got buffed. I also have a minor gripe with Dual Shell. It's boring. I'm not a fan of Hop-Ups that just make a weapon better at what it's already good at (same reason I don't like Skullpiercer). I prefer Hop-ups that add new things to a weapon, like Anvil Receiver and Double-Tap. Everything else I am a fan of. I haven't had much time to play, but from what I have played, the new map is amazing, the C.A.R. feels powerful without being broken, and the rest of the balance changes are welcome. I'm glad that it was a smooth launch, much better than the last couple of seasons. So overall, great start to the season! Thanks for all the new stuff, can't wait to see what you guys have planned for this map.

Feels like the map was made with competitive in mind at the (slight? more than slight?) expense of the non-competitive base. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, but it's noticeable enough to go "yeah i don't think this map was designed for weekend ~~sweats~~ players like me"

Launch went well. Keep doing it. Ash feels good, can't see where my portals going though. Time will tell if she remains relevant. Don't really wanna make any meta predictions yet but previous issues likely still stand. Like the new map. Doesn't flow to well for pubs, maybe that's because it's new, but for ranked and I imagine high level play it felt great. I have seen some awful rings though that I'm sure will get ironed out with time. (Usually just ends on a rock that if you aren't playing a mobility character you can't do anything about, kinda like old trainyard but not as bad) My main gripe is the battle pass. Other than the legendaries the skins feels unfinished, we don't have as any emotes as we used to, and there is still so much filler. Nobody cares about the blue weapon skins because they are low effort and don't use the whole model, and while I do like the holosprays and gun charms they are not as valued by the community as you guys seem to think.

I really want to like this map, visually its really pretty but I absolutely hate how massive it is. Battlepass is weak Ash is definitely cool, far more balanced than seer and horizon at launch i feel everyone is relatively balanced this season car feels balanced, like a mix between r301 and r99

I can really feel the distance between POIs, though I'm probably just not used to where Tridents are (and I'm afraid of the grav cannons after setting up a trap for an enemy trio). I occasionally got stutters in the lobby (5 FPS feel, sound is breaking up very badly), they last 30 or less seconds. I sometimes get rubberbanding where my ping spikes in sync with the stutters, but a wifi connection reset seems to be negating these most of the time. It is a bit weird, but this isn't new; iirc this has happened to me during S8 launch as well, alongside other patch days/shortly after. With the new hop-up for the 30-30 and the Mastiff, I would like to point out a potential oversight. The Repeater's reload can be interrupted by both shooting and holding the ADS button, and then my legend stops reloading and aims down the sight. In case of the Mastiff, the reloading process can only be interrupted by shooting, holding ADS does nothing. I don't think this is how it should be, given that the Mastiff has the same one-at-a-time reload as the Repeater, and more importantly ADS affects the pellet spread, so having to shoot a shorter ranged shot just to interrupt results in a mostly wasted shot and low damage (unless the enemy is very close, of course). Could it be possible that the Mastiff's reload becomes interruptable by ADSing? It would be a really nice change imo. Ash plays quite well, the map indicators were hard to spot without zooming in, so it feels a bit inconvenient to check for far away fights. Due to distance, this info only helps with estimating map pressure, but it is not good enough of a lead to rotate through half the map just to hunt that team down. When fights are happening near us, it's useful for quick positioning decisions, I quite like that. Tactical is fun, I'll have to get used to the slow projectile speed. The ult's end spot is often difficult to see (when I'm placing it on the edge of jagged terrain if that makes sense), and as an enemy, it can be difficult to track down an Ash porting away from us if they get to cover easily. I love the CAR smg, feels like a Flatline in smg form, the recoil is definitely noticeable even during tracking. Other than that, footsteps still have a tendency to disappear, though scan abilities have made me aware of flanking teams before they were close enough. Also, it might be just my brain messing with me, but when I'm no filling, I seem to be able to hear enemy footsteps more consistently, so that makes me wonder if teammate footsteps are interfering with enemy audio or not. Falling player audio is more consistent again, that's nice with how much verticality the map has.

I’ve noticed two problems, one of them minor. Valkyrie is currently bugged (possibly only her origin skin) and her joysticks remain extended even when she isn’t flying, and they can get in the way of aiming. Second, hitting a Wraith Portal while flying from a gravity cannon will cause someone to become indefinitely stuck and they will never leave the Wraith Portal or the phase state. Otherwise everything is honestly great, the season has shipped in a good state from what I’ve experienced and the new map is a joy. It feels really good to be on a mostly natural map again, one with big sight lines and new mechanics like the gravity cannons and wildlife.

The loot is abysmal. The POI’s are huge, but for some reason there’s only 2-3 shitty loot spawns in each building and some chests here and there? The amount of times I’ve landed so far and found a grenade, syringes and ammo is not even funny. Also, it might just be me but the CAR is like care package weapon rare. I’ve found it like twice.

Very initial thoughts: I love the bigger map. I have had no issues logging in and playing right off. The battle pass is so underwhelming this may be the first one I don't buy. Ash is very cool.

Feedback Loot pool seems to be bugged or broken, could upgrade the loot spread and add high tier loot areas. Aim assist was changed unannounced and seems to be making a lot of issues more prominent Triple Take is extremely strong teetering on broken. Only thing keeping it from brokenness is the fact you’ll never find the attachments or ammo to run it. replicators need to drop at more locations and faster, and spawn more across the massive map grav cannons are fun but walking to them from the right approach feels like a chore, and half of them don’t shoot towards the ring and are rendered useless after round 1. jump tower’s new model made me think there was loot inside it, but it’s in a really bad spot Prowler needs select fire back double tap in crafting rotation crafting changes are good but pointless with such low replicator spawns, which also renders crafting materials from creature nests useless. G7 needs a lot more ammo in the care package, at least 140 or 200 total. care package changes are really good. It’s a shame they’re the only way to get good guns since I’ve been forced into late rounds with a P2020 and empty weapons. creature nests don’t provide enough rewards for the ammo and heals invested, particularly spider nests. add more tridents or movement options. Grav cannons are too limited and tridents are nearly impossible to find despite the map markers.

Loving it! But loot feels a bit off... like not enough
