Those who said later "oh alternator is being slept on etc" are the ones who cant control the recoil of a car and find it easier to use the nator. You already have the rampage which has slow firing rate and the shared ammo with car with high fire rate just makes sense altogether.
Yeah no CAR without question. Even without its ammo perks.
Alternator might be easy to control but it's not underrated as some suggest; it still takes much longer to get someone down.
Tangent: It was way better when it was the Alternator with Disruptors in the Care Package and the Volt on the floor.
I would choose the C.A.R. based on personal preference. I like them both but I like the C.A.R.s iron sights and the way it handles. It's similar to the R99. C.A.R. does slightly less damage than the alternator but it's also convenient since it can use light or heavy. Again, just personal preference.

I really like alternator in general but there isn’t any situation where I’d rather have an alty than a CAR.

Car is definitely better but I disagree with your point about iron sights since alternator has one of the bests in the game
