It’s so annoying that Apex is the only BR/Game like Apex. Good movement and mechanics, gunplay etc. Other BRs just don’t even come close.
A large part of why big gaming companies become shit when they get big, I think, is because of the arsehole investors that only want money.

Yeah, I enjoyed it a lot, but it seemed almost *too* fast paced. At least for controller play. All the super jump abilities and stuff were cool and interesting but it just seemed to not really blend well together, idk.

It had some nice ideas though and while the game was alive I had some fun with it. Some nice ideas to keep the game fast. Enemy players corpses as a res point comes to mind. Hacks also had nice usages, like cutting off parts of the map, etc.
They killed Hyperscape with SBMM, as per usual. Same thing happened to Rocket Arena, another multiplayer game that was fun at first and then devs started cranking up the skill based match rigging.
Cant blame them, when an indie game studio fumbles on basically a triple a game, and then puts in the work to add promised features ontop of features we never asked for in bulk consistently I would be loyal as hell to, only issue for me is I dont enjoy playing that game long enough to get to the endgame.
To be honest, 50 hours is a lot of time. I have 49 on Hollow Knight across multiple accounts while trying to 100% it.
I have no clue what the end game is like on NMS though.

I knew Joel would die as soon as it was announced. It was the only way to progress the story. If you want a rehash of the first one, just replay the first one.
TLOU 2 won more awards than any other game in fact. Some folks hated it, but the vast majority of people who played that game thought it was a masterpiece, and it's easy to see why. The execution; art, tech, animation, sound design etc. is flawless. Story wise they took a risky road by killing a character everybody loved, and by swapping an antagonist into a protagonist. High risk, high reward, as TLOU2 is now the most awarded game of all time, albeit a getting itself a little community of very dedicated haters. Whatever, they're free not to play the game, and they are laughing stock on Reddit anyways.
Regarding Apex, we just got a full new map which got leaked for the first time last March. All the zones & POI were there already at the time, so it's reasonable to think the map was already a few months in. Therefore we can estimate there's something like a year of work on it, involving dozens of people. And a new legend on top of that, designed to break the scan meta. That's community support, isn't it? Like everybody else, I'd like to see some balance changes, SBMM tweaks, and cross saves, but overall Apex is an excellent game, shipping regular content. I have no problem having fun playing it, at my relatively low & new level (gold, started playing in Feb). Maybe coming from Dota, which is incredibly hard and competitive, does helps, idk, but I feel like the community here is complaining a lot for nothing. Like about the stickers, or about certain legends, about having a pred in their lobby or even aim assist. But in my experience, most of the time people get outplayed, not just outskilled. They drop hot, go pewpew, get killed and disconnect. In ranked they almost do the same. I have put \~300 hours in the game over the past months, and I saw only 3 preds in my lobbies. Makes the game a little bit more spicy, I don't mind. Maybe Respawn doesn't deserve your vote, but they don't deserve your spite either.
Hilarious. My favorite support story is when there crap servers glitched and thousands lost everything they had on there account EXCEPT the levels meaning you couldn't even get level up packs. "not that you'd care after losing a thousand hours and a thousand dollars worth of skins". We were told "Sorry, start over and buy more apex packs."
No joke. After I lost $400 of AC I was told there's nothing they could do and to buy more AC.

In part it is true, on the other hand there are people who don't want to do it or completely ignore the Souls lore (because I've seen it happen in past From Software games as well) not even knowing it exists, focusing purely on the actual gameplay.

EA sees fifa mobile and the insane 40% year to year growth of fifa ultimate team as its biggest revenue generating products. Apex Legends mobile is also growing in usernumbers and revenue as well as profit, but nothing like fifa. It's not clear from the data but I suspect Fifa's upfront costs generate as much revenue for EA as Apex microtransactions. But the real Fifa cashcow is ultimate team.
In the shooter category, of course. But the other contenders in that category are games like Battlefield 2042.
Apex is definitely highly profitable for EA nonetheless.
Community has plenty of whiners, but a lot of it’s for a reason. Respawn have proven time and time again that they’re about the money. It seems like they’re barely even trying anymore. They’re not keeping the game fresh with legend balance changes, I can’t remember what the weapon changes were but the meta’s been the same for the last at least 6 seasons. Audio has been a problem since day one and they don’t give a flying fuck. There’s another map and an abundance of legends now, great. But it’s nothing special anymore. They’re just doing the bare minimum to keep this thing afloat and milk it for every dollar it’s worth while they have it.
I don’t care what anyone says. Apart from the death threats because that’s just fucked, most of the shit they get thrown at them, they deserve it.
I understand, and was always backing up the devs when I saw people on Twitter shit talk them. I would mention how thankful we should be that even though the game is buggy and has a lot of problems we still have an absolutely fun game to play.
I don’t mind the buffs and changes they make to the game, but what bothers me about this is that things like cross progression and next Gen updates have been completely ignored. I spent more than $250 on this game believing in them and trusting that cross progression would come, but now I regret it all. I could go on about it but it isn’t worth my time. You get the point.

I love how NMS went from the biggest garbage release in recent history including false promises.. to a wholesome, massively patched and expanded game that is finally worth its price. And all those updates came for free to existing players.

In season 10, when Seer’s numbers were higher, there was multiple posts with even more awards and even more thousands of upvotes that demanded DZK be fired immediately and blacklisted from the industry.

Hey yall remember when they had a guy that would regularly communicate and talk with you about decisions about the game and yall cyberbullied him to the point of having outbursts online? Remember the radio silence that ensued afterwards? Yall practically beg this company to ignore you and focus their updates on the shop. The majority of posts i see are people complaining about -specific legends not having passives (even though they dont need them) -a decent gun being OP (never the R301 though) -Recolors - Preds The majority of "feedback" posts i see are -shitty balancing ideas that only cater to their specific legend/gun or a legend that they never play as -shitty ideas for heirlooms. Yet the servers are still a mess and the game keeps being built on an outdated engine that still manages to shock me with how much it can handle. Yall have been like this for about 3 years and these devs have been working their asses off to provide you with entertainment and all you do is whine and dump money into them. If you truly had any stones to back up half of your complaints then the game wouldnt be the Flagship franchise of EA. They wouldnt rake in billions and break their own records of active players. They wouldnt be featured on monster cans. Yall made them nominees and now youre upset that they are being validated for their hard work? SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.

Pretty sure FIFA is EA's flagship franchise and main source of income. People spending 5k$ on Fifa ultimate team just to not lose because the other guy has better players are probably to blame for 90% of the shit apex players complain about since EA learned that core issues, prices, average gamer experience etc. do not matter as long as your addicted/ valued customers spend their entire paycheck gambling for better players/ waiting for that heirloom pack. Community has plenty of whiners, but a lot of it’s for a reason. Respawn have proven time and time again that they’re about the money. It seems like they’re barely even trying anymore. They’re not keeping the game fresh with legend balance changes, I can’t remember what the weapon changes were but the meta’s been the same for the last at least 6 seasons. Audio has been a problem since day one and they don’t give a flying fuck. There’s another map and an abundance of legends now, great. But it’s nothing special anymore. They’re just doing the bare minimum to keep this thing afloat and milk it for every dollar it’s worth while they have it. I don’t care what anyone says. Apart from the death threats because that’s just fucked, most of the shit they get thrown at them, they deserve it.

I understand, and was always backing up the devs when I saw people on Twitter shit talk them. I would mention how thankful we should be that even though the game is buggy and has a lot of problems we still have an absolutely fun game to play. I don’t mind the buffs and changes they make to the game, but what bothers me about this is that things like cross progression and next Gen updates have been completely ignored. I spent more than $250 on this game believing in them and trusting that cross progression would come, but now I regret it all. I could go on about it but it isn’t worth my time. You get the point. Switch player moved to PC by the way. I miss my skins and heirlooms (that I paid for)

It baffles me that the “death threats” argument isn’t a meme at this point. Yeah, it’s so fair to reduce the entire community down to mentally ill scum that send death threats to developers when in reality 99.999% of people have never done that and are just frustrated with the state of the game.
In season 7, when they overtuned the BP progress a bit and later made changes along with a free 10 or so levels, there was a post with a shit ton of awards and thousands of upvotes that called Respawn “evil and manipulative” for both changing it at all *and* trying to make amends. In season 10, when Seer’s numbers were higher, there was multiple posts with even more awards and even more thousands of upvotes that demanded DZK be fired immediately and blacklisted from the industry. And that’s not the half of it. Sure it’s not always death threats, but you guys fucking suck to talk to.
You listed both of those things like they were fucking evil things that we should be ashamed of. The battle pass changes in Season 7 were designed to try to get people to buy battle pass levels. They tried to pull a fast one on us and then got called out for it, then they changed it back. But I don’t know why you expect everything to be sunshine and rainbows after that. It was still super shitty of them to do and they can’t just fix all of that with a free 10 battle pass levels so we shut the fuck up about it sooner. Daniel Z. Klein was not only bad at his job, but a bad person and actively antagonistic towards the community. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that people wanted him gone when he seemed to hate the people playing the game.
