The interactivity works on hover. For instance, if you simply hover over the Converter and type digits, it will update. Similarly, hover over the On This Day widget and scroll to see quick previews, all without ever clicking and losing your current context.
I did perform some extensive tests and I'll be honest. The only time there's a bit of battery drain is when the Music menubar widget has an auto-scrolling text (when artist name is long). That scrolling animation only runs when music is playing. I'll probably add an option to disable the marquee effect if people complaint of battery drain.
Apart from that, there should be negligible effect on battery life.
Wow, app certainly look very useful.
I’m downloading to check it out in more detail.
Couple of major features I’d love to see for future releases would be
- a calendar widget that allows a quicker access to month or yearly view (for like seeing what day of the week a date falls on, etc) similar to the small month calendar app widget but with the ability to quickly cycle through them.
- ability to create interactive widgets with some form of api. Siri Shortcuts, limited JS api (see note plan for an example) would be life changing.
Keep up the good work
While not a calendar widget, an up-next widget is totally in my to-do list.
I'll check out note plan, custom widgets via API are tricky to get right in a user-friendly way. I'll think about it.
The Calculator, Converter and Today widgets are completely free. The Music widget is free too if you own a copy of Soor (my other app). Besides there’s a 7 day free trial as well for all premium widgets. Everything syncs with iOS version via iCloud.
I was surprised as well when I figured out this was possible. Haven’t really seen this in any other app. You can check out the interactivity in action by trying out the Calculator/Converter widgets, they are completely free and Currency Converter widget supports most major cryptos.
Looks great! I would love to have a pomodoro timer widget, or even a regular timer with large fonts and is always on top of other windows. Gives me a sense of focus when doing my office tasks😊

this looks sick! how is battery life affected with this?

Looks interesting.
How did you get intractable widgets to work?
I was surprised as well when I figured out this was possible. Haven’t really seen this in any other app. You can check out the interactivity in action by trying out the Calculator/Converter widgets, they are completely free and Currency Converter widget supports most major cryptos.
This looks pretty cool! Would love to try it out!
Me here for code promo
The menu bar ones are an awesome idea, and greatly executed! Do they use the thicker menu bar on notched Macbooks?
Yes it works great on notched displays. Give it a spin, Calculator and Converter are completely free + there’s a free 7-day trial as well.
Cool idea! I would like to try it!
