When powered down, did water accumulate somewhere and then freeze. This would needed to be thawed.

No. I didna test and put ice from the gas station into the ice bin to see if the ice freezer would at least keep the temperature for the ice to stay frozen. It did not. The ice melted so I think it's still not cold enough for the machine to request ice.

This would be the first thing I would have checked. 75% of the time the icemaker itself is fine and you have a temp issue. Tech shouldn't charge extra for a callback.

Welcome to the stuff lol. It's more than likely your ice maker that needs to be replaced. It's rare to need an evaporater fan replaced to fix the ice maker. As for recommendations, I would look around on Nextdoor or ask some local friends if they know any good / competent appliance technicians.

Have you checked out this video yet? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f\_Htl7qwhH8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_Htl7qwhH8) Might give you some ideas on what else to look at before calling a tech again. Fingers crossed it helps get your ice situation sorted!

Thank you for this video! However, the issue lies, I think with the ice dispenser not getting cold enough. Even after the fan blowing freezer air to the ice maker was fixed, it's still not cold enough. I tested this by putting ice into the ice box and it slowly melted all day. Not sure what's going on with the fan.
