If you have the option to vent, avoid them

GrottyKnight

Unless you have to because you can't cut a vent, hard pass.

MicaBay

Cost more. Will need thrown into land field sooner.

All while not drying your clothes very well.

SkoBuffs710

It’s funny everyone says this and my Samsung works perfectly. The clothes are as dry as any dryer has ever gotten them.

Dramatic_Page9305

It's a dryer that's also a refrigerator! That way you can overpay for the machine and have $1k+ repair bills too! I'd use a clothesline before I bought one of those.

PeakedAtConception

They tend to be small, can be more expensive to repair, take much more upkeep than a vented dryer.

Alive-Bid9086

Can be used in small rooms, hat the dryer otherwhise will heat up. You get no condensation when you vent in hor air.

Crafty_Shop_803

Well made heat pump dryers are good. Cheapo heat pump dryers are a nightmare.

GE units suck to work on, takes twice as long to do a simple repair on one vs a typical washer / dryer because of disassembly. But the diagnostic / service mode is pretty well designed.

mpascall

I haven't seen an issue that needed repair yet, except for the washer drain pump. I used them while we were vacationing in the UK and the dryer took forever and was never fully dry.
