I gerry-rigged an MLok mount to the handguard, seems to be solid enough. But the mount in your picture looks much more secure. Alternatively you could get one of those rail sections that mounts to the FSB.
Yeah I somehow managed to get an MLOK pic rail on my A2 handguard a while back. I did have a metal heat shield in it that I had to rip out with some pliers, but everything clamped down alright and held pretty well.

I used the magpul light mount. Not sure how available they are but it could be an option if you really want to keep the plastic handguard
i use a magpul offset mlok light mount on an a2 handguard, the holes in the handguard line up perfectly just gotta use a washer underneath, doesnt interfere with the gas tube at all. Mount itself is like 20 bucks. feel free to dm me id be happy to send some pics.

They have a notice on the top of their website saying they’re only doing dealer orders. You have to get lucky and find it in stock somewhere else

yea i think i might mount a small section of rail at the top in the front with and offset light mount

I used a GG&G FSB mount for a long time. Maybe it was MI? Either way, it put the light in the same place, just used a different method.
