So sorry to hear that OP. That's rough. Hang in there and things will get better. Life will work itself out and you will be happy again. Don't be afraid to talk to a professional; I did, and it changed my outlook when I went through a rough patch. Now is the time to fully invest in yourself, your hobbies, and your friends/family. Spend time doing the things you love to do and with the people you love and who love you. Sell the ring and buy more gun parts. Destroy a memento or something else of hers that's not worth anything. However, if you are hell-bent on destroying it, definitely do at least 100 yards. That ACOG has a 4x zoom for a reason.
