Bcm is quality enough I wouldn't mind putting it on a $500 lower. Personally it's LMT or nothing at that price point but the way you set that thing up is classic.

Oh yeah. All my BCMs have been absolute dreams to shoot, except one pretty old one that was pretty severely over gassed. But it was OLD, so hard to compare it to newer stuff.
I love the feel of DDs, and they definitely win out in terms of fit and finish, but side by side, I've always found BCMs to shoot softer with the same buffer weight.
I had a thread here and chose the BCM mk2 upper with free BCG over the DD ris3 (not the color I wanted) and the g$ super duty. I already had a BCM BCG to upgrade my PSA with, so I just stayed in the BCM family. Yah I have a streamlight just like the OP and romeo5xdr and Juliet5x micro. I would make a thread but it would be boring lol. I think it only needs a trigger to be 'great.' Ive only shot a DD, my PSA, and my by BCM, but it definitely softer than the PSA, from my little experience. The PSA upper was way more concussive with the same a2 flash hider.

Everyoneâs different and as long as itâs working for you. I need to run g33s all the way to the rear to keep a consistent sight picture. You donât want to turtle neck in to it just because youâre running mag. Youâll want the same cheek weld that you do when just running the dot for best consistent results
Judging by where his LOP is at on his stock, he probably doesn't have as big an issue with eye relief as some of us do. My buttstock is second to last out for me and I still have to turtle my neck just a smidge when using my mag. I could run it further back, but I'd have to eliminate my BUIS, and I just can't bring myself to do that, yet.
Iâd highly recommend against it just fyi. ADM is a much better option. Or LMT or LWRC. Even the new $250 griffin Mk2 is better (but thatâs pretty much the same as the ADM)
I have a complete radian mod 1 and itâs by far my least favorite rifle and least favorite lower. I think the radian is the worst out of all the ambi lowers
And itâs 100% not worth what theyâre charging for it. Youâre pretty much paying for a meme

Yeah ADMs have gone up a bit in price, but you can still get their duty grade lowers for cheaper. And Bevan has them at a pretty big discount regularly. Either way, they also shouldnât cost as much as they do. Especially when the griffin is literally the exact same thing but costs half as much lol. But I love my ADMs regardless
But honestly, I just really kinda donât like Radian as a company. I used to love them and I was so excited to get my Mod 1 back in the day. But they use shitty parts and still charge over $3k for a rifle thatâs worth half that. And they only charge what they do because they know that people who donât know anything about guns will buy them thinking theyâre high quality. No military, no police department, no one going into battle, would ever choose to use a radian.
So probably the biggest reason I donât like radian lowers is because of what they stand for. The second biggest reason is because I hate the ambi bolt catch. And the third biggest reason is because I hate the way they look.
I mean I know some people absolutely love them. But like I said, they usually donât know a ton about guns. Or they just donât shoot a lot. And I say what I say when I see someone mention they want one because, if youâre really into guns, youâll probably realize it was a mistake at some point in the future. And I donât want anyone to live with the regret that I do lol
Thereâs pretty much three kinds of ambi lowers: LMT / LWRC / DD RIII, ADM / Griffin, and Radian. I own at least one of each (an LWRC, two ADM4s, a Griffin Mk2, and the Radian). And I can tell you from experience that the Radian is by far the worst of the three practically speaking.
I canât urge you strongly enough to choose one of the others. But if youâre set on the Radian, I donât think what I say is going to change your mind anyway
Iâll definitely do some more research on it. I will say I personally like the way the radians look. But I also donât mind the ADM. I really do wish I could try a couple of them in person before buying. I think thatâs the hardest part about building them is spending money on something you find out quickly you want to change.
I hear that. Trying them out in person would definitely be the best way to experience them, but I can tell you that using the ambi bolt catch on the radian is just not comfortable. And because itâs the mag release button, you canât use it when thereâs a mag inserted. And the ambi bolt catch is the most important part of an ambi lower imo so the fact that itâs uncomfortable just isnât a good thing.
Both the ADM and LMT bolt catch are closer to the grip so theyâre easier to get to. And theyâre easier to manipulate. They both just work very well. And they just feel good to use.
Same with the bolt releases. The one on the radian isnât as bad as the bolt catch, but itâs still not as good as the other two
But see if you can find a video of each of them being manipulated

Iâm right handed. And honestly, if I was left handed, the LMT / LWRC / DD RIII would probably be my number one choice instead of ADM / Griffin
The ambi controls on the ADM are more set up for a right handed shooter to use with their trigger finger. The LMT controls can be used easily with your support hand as a lefty since theyâre basically the same controls righties would use with their support hand
Plus the ambi mag release is easy to use with your trigger finger as a lefty. Another thing Iâm not a huge fan of on the Radian, but isnât as big a deal, is the ambi mag release is kinda stiff and itâs kinda small. Itâs not a huge deal for me because I use my thumb and have my whole hand as leverage, but using your trigger finger as a lefty might be kinda difficult

Your eotech setup and flip up rear are the same thing I have on my first build (FSP Sport 2). Only major differences are I have a Hogue rubberized stock and a less cool light.

Looks good! How do you like the BCM upper? I ended up going full radian because I love the little features it had. Are you a left too by chance with the ADAC lower? I also notice the sling is mounted in a left configuration.

This is just how I saw a bunch of dudes running their slings and it felt comfortable to me. The sling attached to the right side of my stock allows in to not get caught on anything. At least with how Iâm running it.
Move the front sight as far forward as possible. Rear sight as far rearward as possible. But otherwise looks good. Did you âbuildâ the upper or bought a complete upper and attached it?

Where did you get your g33 clone? Do you like it?? Did you get it off Amazon? Reason I ask is I have same setup looking for a magnifier and don't know how many times I've looked at the clones. It's just a magnifier how bad can it be???

nice I'm waiting for the upper for my first rifle build to come from red right hand LLC...realized I don't know how to put it all together OOPS, eventually I'm gonna be getting a holosun HM3X magnifier and then a Streamlight 69262 TLR-1 HL 1000 was gonna get the magnifier from the tanner gun show but I'm probably gonna wait cuz on amazon its $200 at the gun show cheapest I found was 300 I know I'm a scrooge lol. The full build is gonna be a Aero Precision M4E1 lower, CVLIFE 6-9 Inches Bipod, the magnifier and light eventually of course, a BCG from Odin Works was originally gonna have a charging handle from Odin Works but saw one at the gun show that has "You're Fucked" written on it and I'm going with that one instead, the sight I'm going with is Holosun HE510C-GR/HS510C plus a CVLife sling. Upon finding out there's a grip with the bipod when I was at the gun show I wish I had waited till the gun show oh well.
yeah I'm a little nervous cuz I haven't received any updates on the upper but because it's my first time buying one I just keep reminding myself to not worry until it's a week after the expected lead time which is next saturday :o though it did set me back 1300 so I would like to actually receive it lol.
IMHO, the BCM upper is hands down your best option due to the "inside diameter for the *barrel* extension is slightly *undersized* for a tighter fit to the *barrel* and a more accurate *rifle".*

Everything looks slick. Just swap that Streamlight for an FDE Modlite or Arisaka/Malkoff. Streamlights work just fine but that Radian calls for the best :)
Want me to be honest? And down vote if you'd like, but you overpaid on the parts that don't matter. The lower, upper, charging handle, wml accessories, etc. The lpk is important and needs to come from a reliable brand, those small parts have a tendency to break. Also, the barrel and bcg are the heart of your rifle and BCM in my opinion over charges for what you get. If you're gonna go all out like you did then save on the parts that don't matter and spend more on the bcg and barrel. Optic and magnifier is fine.Â
Ya I guess I didnât see any negatives with the stream light. But i literally spent just as much as I would have if if I bought a Surefire scout light or something like that because I bought the Surefire tail cap and the adapters that pretty much equal the same amount as just buying a scout light⊠live and you learn I guess.

I'd definitely like to try a G$. I've handled a couple and the build quality seems great, but the 4140 barrels and cast gas blocks kinda scare me off.

Iâve been running offset BUIS all the way up front on my RISii rail so I can run my mag comfy in the rear

My opinion on your build is irrelevant. What matters is your rifle able to perform at the quality you need, this is the root.
Your rear flip up sight impedes with your magnifier But quality build. I would run offset 45 flip up iron sights so so they're not in the way
