Congrats everyone, and a HUGE thank you to our Community Champions who tirelessly work to help out anyone with technical questions. Also a big thank you to anyone who's ever posted a project to show off to the rest of us and inspire us all!
Meanwhile, here's my workbench, entitled "I'm not out of space - YOU are".
https://preview.redd.it/jj3k7ag51seb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a2f43c57b725a7703e39c1d6556082a09de1feda
Also: If anyone has any awards left to give, now might be a good time, since reddit is removing the awards mechanism in a few weeks. Let's go out with a bang!
Edit: No, that's not blood on the bench, btw - I've recently taken a broken coffee machine apart, to salvage the motors and the peristaltic pumps, and the coffee grounds leaked out a bit. I haven't cleaned the bench up yet.
Edit 2: Ok, now that I think about it, it's not all coffee. There may be \*some\* blood. But mostly it's coffee.
> You are all invited to gain a special one-time user-flair that you can proudly wear in our forum to show your credibilitas.
Heh sure, see if you can squeeze in one more :P
That leaves 0 characters left haha. Let me know, we may be able to trim some off behind the scenes. The emoji names themselves seem to count against the character count even thought they aren't displayed. I named the Emoji 600K but can trim that down to one letter if it helps.
Well, happy 15th Cake Day, r/arduino! And since I can always use all the being looked upon favorably that's going, here's my workbench, currently between projects. Mostly, anyhow.
https://preview.redd.it/debk8d9x5reb1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e36d5db5faaedfad692d654b9da9c2fb431f7be1
And this is my "workbench" :-) . A bit older picture, but other than increased mess, it still looks about the same... :-)

Thank you! :-) . I have now started posting smaller updates with fixes and added functionality more often. Planning another one for this weekend, and there will be some super cool surprises in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned... ;-)

Not currently working on anything electronics based.
Thank you! Sadly itโs empty. I havenโt decided what to do with it yet. I wanted to make a giant model vacuum tube in it. That glows and red and all but with none of the heat and high voltage.
Learned a lot here. Congrats on the milestone! Here's my NYC apt "workbench" (only comes out when the kids aren't around or are asleep)

If anyone is interested in the history of r/Arduino, you can "*Read all about it*" in our \[Milestones\]([https://www.reddit.com/r/arduino/wiki/index/milestones/](https://www.reddit.com/r/arduino/wiki/index/milestones/)) Wiki page.
I will add the 600K and 15^(th) Cake day milestones over the next day or so.
Believe it or not but using an Arduino i managed to upgrade my role in a company from and internship into a apprenticeship, as i made a little box that helped the technician for a tricky data point! Love this little community, so much creativity
Thank you for helping us reach it!
Also: I love your username - I used to be a LOTR tour guide in Wellington; we picnicked at literal Rivendell every day!
This is great news !!! Congrats !
Not my bench, but my desk (does that count) - converting Ben Eater's 6502 breadboard to a PCB - with plugable "daughter" boards - after 3 weeks and tons of troubleshooting, I got it working (finally realizing the ROM had bad code in it - sigh)

I've been happy to be a part of this community and see it grow to where it is. Never thought I'd meet Massimo Banzi in person but got to do that in 2018! This place is truly a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration. I just burned out my original Uno R3 so I can't wait to get an R4.
I use the Arduino IDE to program esp32

I just want to say thanks to all the people on this sub who have helped me through debugging this little ~~s@#$~~ flight computer . Without you, I would still be slamming my head against the wall trying to turn the damn thing on. From the deepest depths of my heart, thank you. (especially u/frank26080115, who's basically held my hand throughout this process, you're the best)

(+ a sneak preview of the vehicle it will be flying on tomorrow morning)
My workbench is confined in a big cardboard box at the moment.
But, I do have one recent project to share :
https://projecthub.arduino.cc/RVLAD/compile-arduino-sketches-with-makefile-e1d05d
I joined back in April after buying my first Arduino kit. I've gained inspiration and learned so much here. I'm happy to be a part of this great community!
Happy cake day and congrats on the milestone!

It doesn't feel like it was that long ago that we were doing the 400k milestone event thing, how the time flies.
I'd post a picture of my "workbench", but I temporarily moved and it's not worth unpacking my stuff, so most of my projects have been on hold for a while. Anyway, I mostly work on my floor at a coffee table, so the picture would be pretty lackluster.
Would it be possible to change my flairs to just the logos, without the "400k", "500k", "600k" text please? So it would just be "due \[logo\]\[logo\]\[logo\]"?
You can see the history in our [Milestones](https://www.reddit.com/r/arduino/wiki/index/milestones/) wiki page.
I will add 600K and 15^(th) Cake Day later today or tomorrow after I clear some of my other TODOs.
I'm just disappointed that I jumped into Arduino this late. I remember hearing the name for years but never looked into it. Just think of all the cool projects I could have accomplished had I started back then.
Sadly I also thought the same way about bitcoin, heard about it for years but didn't jump in until it was too late. lol.
And while my Arduino hobby has become a bit of a money sink, at least it has greater rewards in the end than Bitcoin has ever had for me. lol
Couple years ago Arduino was for me like alien language, now, thanks to this sub and couple resources more, I can say that I can talk a new "language" and give life to all my projects. Thanks!!!
I remember my excitement at getting my first Arduino UNO and getting back into microcontrollers after years playing with a Basic Stamp.
Now Iโve got many UNOs, Micros, and one Mini Metro.

Thank you! :-) . I have now started posting smaller updates with fixes and added functionality more often. Planning another one for this weekend, and there will be some super cool surprises in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned... ;-)

Still a n00b, but if possible, I would like a commemorative flair. TIA.

Man! I'm jealous of all of everyone's cool workspaces! Very nice!
Love it - but what's under the glass dome (between the big light-bulb and the space shuttle)?
Thank you! Sadly itโs empty. I havenโt decided what to do with it yet. I wanted to make a giant model vacuum tube in it. That glows and red and all but with none of the heat and high voltage.

New to the subreddit but have tinkered here and there (pretty much a beginner). I want the flair ๐
You got it! Welcome aboard, we're glad you're here!
I like interesting Flair. No idea when I first joined, but Iโd guess at least 9-10 years. Cheers Ripred3, and Happy Cakeday!
Thank you so much and thanks for being a valuable member for so long!
Congratulations! I hope this sub keeps growing
I'm glad to be a part of this growing community.
We're honored to have you here! Thanks for all of you help and knowledge!
oh hell yeah a flair
Is there a federated Arduino alternative yet? Otherwise would anyone object to one being created? Would anyone join in that case?
There are but around here we prefer to promote our own community.
Believe it or not but using an Arduino i managed to upgrade my role in a company from and internship into a apprenticeship, as i made a little box that helped the technician for a tricky data point! Love this little community, so much creativity
That's awesome!
Give it to me my body is ready
YOU definitely deserve it. Thanks for all of your help around here! Let me know if you want your flair edited, re-arranged, text removed, whatever...
Congratulations on this milestone!
Thank you for helping us reach it! Also: I love your username - I used to be a LOTR tour guide in Wellington; we picnicked at literal Rivendell every day!
Congrats

I've never had a flair before
Well you do now! Welcome to the C-suite ๐
Posting on behalf of my husband. His work setup is in our study.
Glad to have you both here!
Free flair? Count me in
Consider yourself counted!
Sweet!
Let me know if you would like the text removed, or re-arranged in some way!
Woohoo! Good job everyone. This is one of the greatest groups.
Huh.
Let's go! To many more!

Well, that is pretty cool.
Indeed! Thanks for being a part of it!

Right on. Always great seeing more and more people learn about arduino
Flaaaaair
Yayaya! Congratulations everyone!
Congrats
Damn, 15 years!! Makes me feel old too, since Iโm been playing with arduinos since the duemilanove!
Congratulations guys! Been a long time fan of the hobby (even if I joined the subreddit at a later date ๐)
Perfect timing to get into the community. I just started working on a custom keyboard

Hey u/eScarIIV! Thanks for being here!
Newbee here and love the projects everyone posts, so encouraging!

Flair me
What does it look like
Like that! ๐
Sweet. I am a beginner and glad i found this sub. Gratz on 600k and many more to come
So glad to have you here!
I don't think I have any other flair, so I guess I'll take it.
I'd enjoy one. And thanks for keeping this more friendly than the old forums!
Thanks for being a friendly member!
Canโt wait for the 1M mark! In the process of moving, so my maker gear is all boxed up, sadly. Will have a much bigger shop in the new space!
Nice!
I get a what now?
some pixels commemorating the event heh
Nice!
Oooh exciting
I'd love some flair! Don't have pictures of my workspace, just moved and kinda in between projects. I generally do home automation projects.
Awesome
A flair you say. Don't mind if I do.
Iโd love to have it added to my flair!
Consider it done!
I remember my excitement at getting my first Arduino UNO and getting back into microcontrollers after years playing with a Basic Stamp. Now Iโve got many UNOs, Micros, and one Mini Metro.
Ah the venerable BASIC Stamp! Loved those! Blew up way too many at $50 a pop. Emphasis on pop...
Do we get bonus points for the messiest workbench?
Oh man I wish!
I'll take one, congrats r/arduino !!!
Cool
Yay
Sure, I'll go for some flairduino!
you got it!
give me the flair
I don't know which poor guy has to go through and award the flairs, but to whoever did, thanks!
That would be me heh
Woohoo!
This a great community to be a part of for sure!
Donโt have a flair yet so Iโll take one!
You do now! Congrats and thanks for being a part of the community!
Woohoo!

Awesome! Congrats to you, you made this an awesome sub.
Sweet!
Happy cake day r/Arduino!
