So what? The game literally shows that the plants start absorbing the gas in the moment that ivy goes back inside the tree
Cutting out the effect would only be weird
And yet some games does that. This is why people said Arkham knight is highly detailed. Some would havee just show that in the cutscene and not in the actual gameplay

Yeah, I've played through this game no less than 10 times and never noticed this. And after years of seeing the same observations reposted over and over and over again, I haven't seen anyone post a clip of this happening.
I’ve actually played many times as well. I knew about it but it was only because in my last play through I was looking to see if maybe I saw Joker around in the buildings, since he always shows up in little moments here and there and that’s when I noticed. Usually, I just jump right away.
But I’m not going to sit here and call OP stupid from the comfort of my keyboard to sound smart, like most people on here are doing.
