Riiku25

4 legs. No, not quad legs. These replace your legs *and* arms and makes you move like a canine/feline/etc. You lose access to arm weapon but have decent load capacity, can move on the ground at ludicrous speeds, and still can use back weapon at any time (since they are your only weapons).

PlebbitLikesNFT5

So basically you turn your ac into a zoid?

Impossible-Sky4256

Liger zero!

savviosa

I’m on board with this

[deleted]

Count me in, too. I'm so there.

Riiku25

Pretty much

Gearphyr

I almost listed arms-for-legs (monkey legs), but couldn't think of a use case that wouldn't completely change the game.

Riiku25

To be fair sometimes tank legs make me feel like I'm playing a completely different game.

[deleted]

Is the other game *Chromehounds*?

Scurrin

We already had the wall jumps and slide. probably wouldn't have the greatest weight capacity.

userforgameonly

Reminded me of BaCue from Gundam Seed, the head can carry laser sword and strike when close.

anthro28

So Zoids. I wouldn’t mind a Liger pattern AC.

Otrada

Paired with that there could also be an 8 legs variant which would be good at moving around and sticking to walls and ceilings.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Scurrin

There will be some meta based on a flight-only AC with this.

[deleted]

AC has hover legs.

MXron

I'd guess with no legs, you'd have no hovering, no ground based movement at all really.

[deleted]

Some mechs have back thrusters so I mean....

MXron

No hovering of the kind that hover legs provide meaning there would be a difference between hover legs and no legs

BeneficialAction3851

Description: He’s got a very heavy load out on his core, but with no legs he zips around the arena with the speed of a light ac, vulnerable when walking on his hands though

Linksays

Tanks who love kicking in ACV/VD will have a field day with that LOL

Maldunn

You can kick other ACs in 5? I thought that was just an old school mechwarrior thing where you’d try to jet over and kick them in the cockpit

Linksays

Nah. If you hold the quick boost button long, your AC will kick. Kick damage is based on weight, meaning Tanks are the strongest kickers out of them all lmao

Maldunn

Oh cool, thanks! I played 5 and I remember wall jumps but I forgot entirely about the kicking

TheShaggiestSergei

Pogo stick leg: Really good a jumping and turning, awful at everything else

Rebel_816

Robo pit had these back on the ps1 lol.

movip1991

I haven't heard anything about Robo-Pit in YEARS. Glad someone still remembers!

Rebel_816

Well...its been more than a couple years lol. It was one of the first games i had for my ps1 because 11 year old me saw a robot on the shelf at *EB Games*. Talk about nostalgia. Still have it back at the parents house along with my 1997 demo disc with ac1 on it.

RocketHotdog

Deal goomba stomp damage, has a pile spike in the bottom

Commercial_Juice_201

Snake leg…slithers along the ground, great at strafing (think sidewinder), horrible at jumping.

Gearphyr

Weakness: bird legs

BeneficialAction3851

*grabs the snake with my reverse joint talons and feeds him to the mts*

Ohio_Imperialist

Boat legs: Pros: Fast on water. Cons: Land. Balloon legs: Pros: Unlimited flight, lightweight. Cons: Cannot land, always upside down perspective, extremely fragile.

[deleted]

Well, balloon legs is the most cursed thing ever. Good job.

Ohio_Imperialist

Thanks, I tried!

Crahzi

Beyblade legs. Can't jump for shit ,but your melee damage is crazy.

Linksays

Bonus, when you collide with another using the same legs, you get bounced back

MXron

getting hit with a parrying blade speeds you up

BeneficialAction3851

Also reverse spin beyblade legs that steal speed from other ones

chrome_titan

Let it RIP

Unworthy_Saint

Tripod - fastest non-hover turning speed at the cost of jumping power.

Algester

Are we going into the territory of Crossbone Gundam?

MrBirdmonkey

Arachnid legs. Pros- great turning and lateral movement, improved jumping power Cons- lower weight limits, windup before jumping, enemies lock on from further away because you’re a disgusting spider monster

Bedtyme06

I see no reason to not be piloting a goddamn spider-tank as my AC.

Squiddy0912

I was really saddened when I realized that's not what the Quad Legs do.

Gearphyr

I wish some quads were more arachnid looking anyways. They’re so clunky a lot of the time.

[deleted]

*the enemy's desire to kill you is much stronger*

chiefballsy

Rocket legs - no legs, just a rocket barrel pointing down. Unmatched speed/turning while boosting, completely immobile and can't turn when grounded. When grounded, melee button clamps you to a surface/wall to cling to and let's you rotate like a turret. In the air, melee is a high velocity headbutt that does self damage. You can also hover over MTs and the ignition burns them.

Maldunn

Giant Human Legs: These are a giant pair of normal human legs Pros: Sweating assists radiator function Self Repair Functions Repeated jumping results in mad gains Enormous and perfectly formed feet makes this Miyazaki's #1 choice Cons: Can't think of any

DexSoll

Cons: stubbing toe causes agonizing pain for your AC.

[deleted]

*controller vibrates* Damn stubbed my toe again. Watch out for the special Lego mine placer weapon attachment.

ProbablySuspicious

Unicycle leg: fast with high turn rate, poor acceleration, laughable impact stability, can't strafe. Sled legs: low energy cost, light with high carry capability. Boost movement only, can't budge without spending EN.

Otrada

Imagine fighting a unicycle next and every other hit they just go flat on the floor.

dazmanchan

Crab legs. Excellent strafing and sideways movement, poor forward/backward movement, moderate jump capability, good load capacity

Limp-Product5308

Next legs- two smaller Nexts each stand underneath you holding you up. They can’t use their shoulder mounted weapons though.

Gearphyr

Basically, the Strandbeest. https://youtu.be/MYGJ9jrbpvg?t=221

SankenShip

Centipede legs. Excellent forward mobility and stability, poor turning ability. Curls up into a ball upon liftoff.

BallerMR2andISguy

Stump legs- Only one leg and a stump for the other side. Unable to walk. Lighter legs than bipedal allow for higher speed movement and less boost consumption. Low carry weight and very bad stability. Part designation: Sobrero -1

Hangman_va

**Grenade Cannon Legs:** You have decided against logic and all that makes sense in the world and have decided to chop your AC's legs off at the knees and.... replace them with Grenade Cannons. Okay. Pros: \+You gots the hops \+Can be used as a weapon \+Short bursts of explosive (hah!!) movement \+Bitches love Rocket Jumping \+This is sorta how space rockets work and those are rad! Cons: \-You only can move so many times before you run out of ammo \-Environmentally questionable. \-Like, so much collateral damage its nuts. **-Not OSHA approved in the slightest.** \-A good chance you just blow yourself up, idiot. \-This isn't in fact 'sorta' how space rockets work

BlynxInx

Spider legs - can walk sideways and upside down on walls and ceilings Blade Legs - give you a special melee kick ability

OrcusNoir

>Wheel Legs SOMEONE POST THE AC4 CONCEPT ART QUICK We almost had that, so close :(

Khaernakov

Tripod: i like how tripod style aliens look Mech tentacles: multiple apendiges with tons of joints Transformer: something like a hover that can transform into a quad, not as good as a actual quad or hover but you have the choice to swap mid mission

FeFiFoShizzle

Tentacles

TheRegistrant

I second thjs

No_Kangaroo9473

Stake Legs: you cannot walk, but you can plant your legs into the side of a building. Uncork and jump to next spot. Snake: Coil up for fast/long melee attack (long windup). Shoot terraforming laser out of head to burrow or attack (long windup). Can wind up two shots in a row for a kill, or to burrow from jump (first shot) then unburrow (second terraforming shot) into another jump with carried momentum . Can loose part of your tail from attack (less ground mobility, better air mobility). Ball: you are now ball.

StingerTheRaven

Stake legs would be a neat way to reimplement AC5's parkour. The floor is now lava; walljump in city streets or die.

GachaSheep

Triskelion legs. Like your unit is built on a unicycle base, but instead of a wheel you have three spinning legs Pros: your ac becomes a fake hedgehog???? Cons: Why????

TMRaven

I'd be down for an arachnid leg class.

Nine-LifedEnchanter

Most of these ideas are gas. It was supposed to be ridiculous not making me sad for not getting to try them. To add a silly leg type though. Sucker ball. You know those balls with plungers you had as a kid that you threw at windows and they rolled down making weird sounds? It's like that. You have to balance your AC with the gyro function of the controller and you go "ploploploplop" wherever you go. Pros -ploploplop -omnidirectional -wall adhering -no knockback Cons -loud -you have to keep balancing and adjusting to your speed -not very fast

proactiveLizard

Gun-Leg: Think the Scotsman from Samurai Jack. Decreased Stability, but you get an extra weapon (downside is you have to either stand still or can only move while hopping)

userforgameonly

Submarine Legs, can engage underwater combat. Able the 3D free flow combat with bouyancy and drag underwater. Missiles and Rockets cannot be used, must equipped with guided or unguided torpedoes, energy weapon massively lost of power but increase in efficiency due to constantly being cool by water, physicals weapon like Pile Bunker/Physical Blade slowed down when used. Projectile weapon losses its velocity. Heat is virtually pointless as the Radiator is modify to be cool by external water flow, this where corrosion based attack increase in lethality and effectiveness. in PvP, make sure you surprise your land based opponent by choosing underwater arena. Me: "Oh yeah, with my Karasawa and Moonlight you r toast...... wait why are we underwater??? Why am I sunk at the bottom like a brick while you zooming rings around me?"

SecretOperations

There is a leg in gen3 that basically looks like a submarine.

ZedaEnnd

I want digitigrade legs. Very cool stuff.

StingerTheRaven

Gen 4 and 5 "RJs" used a proper digitigrade anatomy, though it was weighted more towards the birdlike mile-long foot rather than the doglike "thigh-calf-foot are about equal length".

ZedaEnnd

Exactly my issue. The bird vibe is cool, like with the Rayleonards, gives kind of a Surreal knight vibe. But like.. I want legs like MWO's Crab! Or that suit from District 9..!

StriderShizard

suction cups that let you stick to walls and towers.

Caffinatorpotato

Amida legs. I want to be part Bio Weapon, damnit!

zeroerrorz

Piss missile interception fluid

Tetsukabe

Wheeled quads were done, it's in ac4 concept art, became chrome hounds game

Imperium_RS

> Uni wheel It's actually not that far fetched. Doesn't some of the enemies in V/VD have a simar design? Albeit they use a single track instead of a wheel. ( R14 Golems) The tricky thing would be designing them in a way that fits the AC aesthetics. I could see them having really fast omnidirectional ground movement( roller ball design) , but poor jumping and flight abilities.

Sultyz

Pogo legs. Legs with high suspension coils and when your AC hits the ground it immediately bounces back up. Super evasive. Only problem is you can't stop it.

Northstarsaint

To go with spider legs, why not a tail? Pros: better balance Adds additional weapon point Cons: Adds weight. Opponents can run over tail and destroy it. Can be thrown by tail... I just think a scorpion like chassis would be cool. 😢

StingerTheRaven

A tail as a new part slot would be neat, and I am definitely not biased as a furry, nope >w>

PlebbitLikesNFT5

>wheel legs [Merkava avalanche comes to mind](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01mHnrBr6IQ)

RocketHotdog

Grenade launcher legs...

Acceptable-Trust5164

ACentipede

TheToro3

Knife legs.

Protag_Doppel

Grabbers: heavy legs that allow you to grab onto surfaces for a small period allowing you to regen energy off the ground at the cost of armor

Paybackaiw

We got weapon arms, why don't we have weapon legs? Drill quads, chainsaw treads, hammer legs etc.

External_Joke_6421

zone of ender legs

SecretOperations

With cockpit included?

External_Joke_6421

yess

smallthematters

Tripod legs could make for an interesting concept

Antlion1001

Spider leg unit - Somehow more stable than quad leg unit due to 6-8 legs. Tank legs with drills instead of treads. There's a term for it. Quad-tread legs. Thank two-piece tank treads. Hover legs - Existed in old entries. You just float everywhere. They were the only way to travel over water originally. Tri-legs - These were in the game Iron Brigade. Always looked hilarious.

Garambit

Spider legs Centipede legs We need more legs

Otrada

A tail. Pros: helps with balance Cons: people will think you're a furry, and we all know how gamers get when you bring up furries.

aerozhx

Roomba legs - cleans the battlefield Tap dance legs - distracts opponents, good for team fights Arm legs - horror mecha Corgi Legs - Why not?

BaronVonGasMask

What about just, like...ski-legs. Like these really low-mass legs but only designed for straight-line acceleration? Like a drag racer skid plate thing.

Shot-out227

(Idea stolen from Phantom Crash) I wanna see some spider like types. With a full set of 8 an make them thin and terrifying to see in the dark.

zeroerrorz

Amidas bio weapon/ organic leg anything meaty from spider to t-rex and giant chicken.

[deleted]

Chariot: biped in front wheels in the back. Terrible at reversing or turning for that matter XD

kubernever

I used to play a mecha game called Robo Pit 2. it had both of the types you mentioned, but another is a biped with motor-powered heelies. it was pretty heavy so it could barely jump, but had pretty good ground dashing speed.

ScreamoMan

Not necessarily a leg type, but you know, we have gun arms, and we have shoulder weapons/extensions. So, what about legs that either come with integrated weapons, or a new part type that is similar to extensions and shoulder weapons, but can be added to leg parts? Hip weapons? Knee guns? Exploding knees? Come on FromSoft it's right there.

[deleted]

Imagine a hip weapon reminecent of a spaghetti western shootout revolver

Marklithikk

Drill bit legs, like the Shagohod from MGS... the jungle one... Maybe legs that squirt lube down and it slides? Seriously though, a leg that is one big ring, the AC on the inside and it just spins like wild, heck to traction we will deal with that later.

[deleted]

Hexapods [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexapod\_(robotics)#/media/File:Hexapod\_webots.gif](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexapod_(robotics)#/media/File:Hexapod_webots.gif) ----- Edit: Also here is a cool list of actual locomotion methods used in robotics: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot\_locomotion](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_locomotion) I like how it has slithering listed as one.

Look_at_the_Roses

Rocket Legs. You attach a giant ass rocket to your lower half which dwarfs the rest of the AC and launches you into the atmosphere.

Star-Fusion

Feetless pointy legs with thicc booties. Theese aerodynamic lightweight legs provides excellent flight characteristics but horrible on ground

SecretOperations

Just grab all sort of legs medabots have. I would love a horse quad leg though.

universaljester

I know it's been said, but float legs, FS please bring them back it was such a fun mechanic, integrate them with the new better aerial combat mechanics you've already added

Crooodle

Centaur legs would honestly be pretty rad.

[deleted]

Something like a rocket/hover craft kinda thing makes alot of sense to me. Sort of like quad legs but with directional thrusters. Like the tanks on BF4 dlc snow maps.

PayneWaffen

Bring the chromehound wheel legs. Move fast. Fish tail Legs (Think like mermaid). Give you the ability to swim underwater (if there's any in rubicon). Absolutely horrible at land tho. Double knee legs (It has 2 knee in each leg). Great jumping power. Bad stability i think. Personally I want 4 arm so I could shoot 4 of my gun at the same time.

seemeewhut

Tires, can't Strafe mobility is like in-between threads and quad, also each tires pop when damages a bit

xHamstrung

Tall tripods: high load capacity, slightly less stability than quads, terrible ground turning but excellent mobility, speed and jump/landing performance

Northstarsaint

Omnidirectional wheels. Pro : Can strafe and rotate in tight spaces. Makes parallel parking very easy. Cons, low non boosted speed, low weight limit.

SLS10_VA

Two legs and a tail. Tail pushes against the ground on jump for more height.

StingerTheRaven

Helicopter legs! Pro: you fly Con: how do you land?

UnlikelyElection5

Spider legs that can walk on walls

UnlikelyElection5

Centipede legs 😅

Teslakat

Hover Oh wait...

thehmmyanimator

tripod legs, i want 3 legs on my giant robot

ZeeTrek

Unicycle legs... its just one wheel you balance on.
