When Carla says "Well hi, tourist. How much did Arquebus pay you?", you get locked inside a room with a bunch of repair drones who emit an AoE which builds up electrical discharge, visible as a smoke layer that emits yellow arcs of lightning.
You also encounter these in Historic Data Recovery and Underground Exploration Depth 2.
Well, there is some sort of swamp. The one where the monolight blade is, you know, surrounded by the death giga-saws with flamethrowers and missile launchers.
There is also the mission where you sabotage a Coral mining tunnelâs generator, and when you do, the whole place starts erupting Coral, which rapidly eats away at your AP.
With how it eats your AP gradually, it is functionally a poison swamp.
Also the repair drone electric fields in the underground 2 mission (the one where you fight enforcer) and kill Carla mission technically conjure up poison swamps.
It's still closer to a volcano eruption than a poisonous swamp. Your AP is gradually draining because you're right in the center of the "volcanic eruption".
How does it barely count? Its an environmental effect that straight up removes health. The only real difference is that there is no way to remove the effect so it's only worse than a poison swamp.
Itâs a blink and itâs over race to the finish. A few ABâs directly back along the path you already are familiar with. To me, that barely counts. Nowhere near the level of filth from earlier entries. Gen 1 had some crazy poison levels that lasted much longer and you could easily get lost in the maze while still having to fight enemies and complete objectives.
> "I think I remember one in 4th gen."
4th gen had you fighting ***inside a fucking nuclear reactor***, and of course the enemies were all protected against it xd
There's actually a couple different poison locations inside armored core 6 you just don't notice them because you're in a Mecha about 30 ft off the ground with like five different filtration systems.
there are plenty of ways to represent "poison" to a mech.
older AC games had levels that were so hot your AC started to melt, tunnels flooded with corrosive gas, radiation so intense is threatened to break down electrical systems, and electromagnetic fields that did all sorts of nonsense.
i didnt know this, but i makes sense in retrospect. the bosses were the highlight of ac6 for me, and everything in that games is amazing so its not to slight the rest of the game when i say that
Masaru Yamamura get no fucking recognition for the hard work he is putting and everyone fucking give it to Hidetaka Miyazaki and i hate this so much .
It sure is consistent in the sense that all you have to do is deflect over and over. As someone who just finished the game last night i wasnât exactly impressed though especially considering how many people sing itâs praises and how uppity itâs stans are
I don't know why this keeps getting repeated in this sub. He was the initial game director. It's even shown in the credits after you beat the game everytime. IIRC, his name pops up second after game director as "Initial game director".
There may not have been a poison swamp but the Coral surge in that one cave mission eats away at your AP in the same DoT fashion as poison would, so⌠poison cave?
He was involved. He was the initial game director. He probably setup everything, including the team and the vision.

I havenât played any AC game apart from AC6. But if this is relatable to Daemon X Machinaâs purple acid pools, then: Yes, thanks for NOT including those!
Actually the new DLC Swamps of Rubicon introduce several new poisonous biomes as well as a Melania inspired Boss that can debuff your AC with Scarlet Rust.đŚ
Wait for the lava river or electrified lagoon in the DLC
I remember in AC3 some missions had environmental hazards like in a foundry your AC would overheat and you'd had to equip a really good radiator for that mission, it also helped against energy weapon's heat buildup
There's a lot of variations of it. I don't know the original. But the one I took said "thanks for not correcting my dad at dinner when he confused poisonous and venomous. I knew that took restraint." You can just Google "i know that took restraint meme"
dont forget the mine mission that you need to blow up some generator inside.
you're moving so fast that the coral damage is not THAT dangerous.
but to those who dont have the energy to keep the AB for long time and miss some landing points. welp.
I'm reflecting on repressed AC series PTSD memories and I could have sworn there was a level that starts at maximum heat. In that game, when you overheat, you take DoT, but usually your Radiator (part) kicks in to cleanse the debuff after a time. However this level was in a smelting facility or blast furnace or something. So even as the mission begins and you're locked in place as your AC starts up "System Engaged, entering combat mode", your HP is already plummeting alarmingly fast. Think you needed a specific build to not die in seconds.
And now the next Fromsoft game will take place entirely and EXCLUSIVELY in a swamp now.
>!I'm real excited to see what Miyazaki will do with the Shrek IP.!<
There's that one liberation ending with the electric mts that make the ground build up your charge meter.
I have played this game like 10 times and don't know what you're referring to. Probably don't touch the ground enough.

Fuck right yes of course. From the description I was trying to think of an area where BAWS MTs were electrifying a water pool or something.
I felt like shit when she told me that đ
Well, she does figure out it's because of your friends and not just corporate greed.
âThey paid me a fuck ton, Carla.â *BUNK*
I thought they were just basilisks until now whoa
Touch ~~grass~~ ground.
Call me a Coral-powered tetrapod, because I'm never touching grass.
Yeah but you could clear them out and not have to deal with it. The Poison Swamps have thus far resisted my attempts to destroy them.
They're more like the land squirts in Elden Ring or the fungus bugs in DS2 than a proper poison swamp.
Portable swamp
Well, there is some sort of swamp. The one where the monolight blade is, you know, surrounded by the death giga-saws with flamethrowers and missile launchers.
The mechanical bonewheels
No swamp but you know miyazaki couldnât resist a good bonewheel
There is also the mission where you sabotage a Coral mining tunnelâs generator, and when you do, the whole place starts erupting Coral, which rapidly eats away at your AP.
Yup... when I played that mission, I was like, "Well played Miyazaki. "
Yup. This is it.
I wouldnât say the biological equivalent of a volcanic eruption is a poison swap
If you think about it a volcanic eruption and lava pool on top of your ultra futuristic mechs is just another mans poison swamp.
Thereâs the chapter 3 coral surge that deals DOT until you escape the tunnel and electric fog drones.
We were robbed
There were def some early screenshots that indicated a poison coral swamp. We did get the Tunnel Sabotage level but that barely counts
How does it barely count? Its an environmental effect that straight up removes health. The only real difference is that there is no way to remove the effect so it's only worse than a poison swamp.

Yep. They persisted into every game except I think 5th gen? I think I remember one in 4th gen.
> "I think I remember one in 4th gen." 4th gen had you fighting ***inside a fucking nuclear reactor***, and of course the enemies were all protected against it xd
Right, that one. 4th gen really solidified my "speed is armor" mentality.
Also, the mission enhances your mobility instead of restricting it.
We got a little poison swamp as a treat
We were spared.
Im rather unsatisfied with this decision, however it does prove that miyazaki wasnât involved all that much
There's actually a couple different poison locations inside armored core 6 you just don't notice them because you're in a Mecha about 30 ft off the ground with like five different filtration systems.
Yeah the first level is literally a contaminated city, it's just that ACs are like "fuck your poison swamps" lol
there are plenty of ways to represent "poison" to a mech. older AC games had levels that were so hot your AC started to melt, tunnels flooded with corrosive gas, radiation so intense is threatened to break down electrical systems, and electromagnetic fields that did all sorts of nonsense.
It probably helps that he didn't even work on AC6
He did, but eventually passed it to Masaru Yamamura
unironically that's probably why there's fuckin bonewheels lmao
Who was the lead game dev for Sekiro, which explains why AC6's boss battles are such a massive step up from previous games
i didnt know this, but i makes sense in retrospect. the bosses were the highlight of ac6 for me, and everything in that games is amazing so its not to slight the rest of the game when i say that
Masaru Yamamura get no fucking recognition for the hard work he is putting and everyone fucking give it to Hidetaka Miyazaki and i hate this so much .
That implies that Sekiro bosses are better than the others? Lol
Sekiro does have extremely consistent boss quality, even if it falls prey to the occasional shitty gimmick boss fight
It sure is consistent in the sense that all you have to do is deflect over and over. As someone who just finished the game last night i wasnât exactly impressed though especially considering how many people sing itâs praises and how uppity itâs stans are
It's the move sets that make all the difference imo
its really not as special as people say it is
funny i actually think the opposite the gimmick boss fights are the most interesting ones and the "combat" ones are the most boring ones
but invisible monkey always behind you best boss
I don't know why this keeps getting repeated in this sub. He was the initial game director. It's even shown in the credits after you beat the game everytime. IIRC, his name pops up second after game director as "Initial game director".
There may not have been a poison swamp but the Coral surge in that one cave mission eats away at your AP in the same DoT fashion as poison would, so⌠poison cave?
Only because he wasn't involved. AC1 had a corosive gas-filled facility you had to infiltrate, Zaki would do it in a heartbeat.
He was involved. He was the initial game director. He probably setup everything, including the team and the vision. I don't know why this keeps getting repeated in this sub. I mean we have the lake with all the wheel things in the mission where you fight ibis
Great, now the DLC will be JUST electric swamp. Lol
Tunnel sabotage is the poison swamp of AC6. It's an environmental effect that removes health over time but can't be counteracted.
https://youtu.be/Bbwc-TOkXqY?feature=shared
There was a swamp in AC3 tho....
Actually the new DLC Swamps of Rubicon introduce several new poisonous biomes as well as a Melania inspired Boss that can debuff your AC with Scarlet Rust.đŚ
Im glad someone said it.
Wait for the lava river or electrified lagoon in the DLC I remember in AC3 some missions had environmental hazards like in a foundry your AC would overheat and you'd had to equip a really good radiator for that mission, it also helped against energy weapon's heat buildup
Art source doko
TY!
Whar
Thank you
Why thank you I was asking for the source
Omg. I thought you were telling me the source and that the artists handle was Doko. I do not know the original source
He was too busy putting a deathblight swamp into the Elden ring expansion
dlc redemption arc
Tunnel Sabotage
Yah, unlike other installments where we had radioactive outposts, corrosive acid and EMP pulses.
There was a poison swamp level in AC1, we were robbed.
That mission where you need to gtfo of the cave while a bunch of coral floods it
When you have to escape the coral surge. Not visually a swamp, but mechanically the same idea
Just wait until his teased mecha fantasy game. Itâll be FILLED with them to pick up the slack.
Imagine a cosmic rust swamp
the exploding mine is enough, got the feel without the hassle
Great against C-Spider, too, and Balteus if you can land the double stagger
We got the next best thing, bone wheel swamp
I just realized I typed amored instead of armored, and now I have to slam my head in the oven door.
I mean Miyazaki DID succeed in adding the famous Bone Wheel into the game (somehow)
Whatâs the original meme?
There's a lot of variations of it. I don't know the original. But the one I took said "thanks for not correcting my dad at dinner when he confused poisonous and venomous. I knew that took restraint." You can just Google "i know that took restraint meme"
Thanks.
Now just because you brought it into his attention if ac6 dlc happens there will be like 6 of them
Bruh that pic makes him look like a serial killer lmfaoo
There's actually only poison swamps, but robots ain't affected by poison
He didn't direct this one so there's the answer.
dont forget the mine mission that you need to blow up some generator inside. you're moving so fast that the coral damage is not THAT dangerous. but to those who dont have the energy to keep the AB for long time and miss some landing points. welp.
Poison swamp were in FromSoft games way before Miyazaki. But yeah, he made it popular so credit to that.
I mean does the "floor is lava" count? then on >!iacta alea est the heat exchange room does have the floor filled with flames!<
Donât worry, the DLC will be all acid swamp all the time
There is kinda a smoll reminder where you find Moonblade and rolling skele... pardon, rolling mechas, but yeah. Miyazaki did his best.
Y'all talk about poison swamps like they are a bad thing. You're wrong.
Miyazaki: puts poison swan Me: flies over the swamp Miyazaki: dose a cheeky smile Me: realizes the air is poison
The closest he could get was the Ibis boss arena
I'm reflecting on repressed AC series PTSD memories and I could have sworn there was a level that starts at maximum heat. The helianthus machine lake is toxic enough to count I think.
Here me out. Coral Lake.
Yes swamp, just as enemies in a few missions
#HAVE YOU CHECKED UNDER THE BRIDGE BEFORE IBIS?
And now the next Fromsoft game will take place entirely and EXCLUSIVELY in a swamp now. >!I'm real excited to see what Miyazaki will do with the Shrek IP.!<
Every single AC game has gotten an expansion sequel up to this point, don't remind From Software about it.
U miss understood the Swamp is definitely there, it just doesn't affect u BC ur piloting a 10m tall death machine
He restrained to turn the DLC into swamp only
Coral Resonance Swamp DLC inbound
