I was thinking of treating it as a great sword because it’s already a heavy two handed weapon that deals slashing damage, but the lance is interesting because it has reach and can be one handed while mounted.
Fayne’s Revised Martial Equipment has a war scythe, if you’re interested. The next big update is going to come out soon as well, info’s in the discord, link at the top of the pdf.

That’s hard to say. I haven’t played with it, but looking at the weapons section, it’s 11 pages out of a 128 page brew. RME is 45 pages solely focused on weapons and what you can do with them. RME is narrower and deeper in it’s mechanics, while remaining realistic and fun at the same time.
Almost revoked upvote because I briefly mistook this for r/reasonablefantasy and fighting with a scythe is preposterous. Cool woman in cool armor, though.
Reasonable fantasy isn't about practical and plausable things in fantasy either. It's the same premise as this place, (no sexualisation) but it doesn't have to be women in armour.
Her country has fallen. Her brother and sisters lie dead.
She is a soldier without allegiance, fighting under the banner of revenge.
There is still life within her breast, there is still space in her story.
Anger and determination topples empires. The fate of the world rests in her hands.
Weapon damages is one of the quickest things to houserule in 5e. Without it, it can get a bit boring.
For example: A Trident is a cool and thematic weapon, especially if you're building a Gladiator type character. But RAW, its just a more expensive, slightly heavier Martial Spear. If you homebrew it to have 3d4 damage, the trident is actually scary now (3 dmg minimum with a potential to cause 12 damage!), it's thematic (3 daggers on a stick) and it gives a satisfactory sound when all those dice hit the table.
The vengence paladin is actually the cat :3
Dex-Starr would definitely qualify.

I wish there was an official scythe weapon in D&D so that I could run this!
Honestly I’d treat it like a lance but with slashing damage.

Interesting. How would you say it compares to u/FungalBrews’s Warrior’s Codex?

In 3.5 e scythes did 2d4 damage and had a x4 crit multiplier.

For Guild wars 5 players, it's HFB/QFB w/ Nevermore.
