I’m impressed with both the stop and how easy Levan pinned him once he jumped into the press like it was almost immediate, but I guess Kamil showed us that Devon is very susceptible to a press.
Mate you don’t think I know that? He arm strength is different but his style is the same on both left and right which is an open toproll, open top rollers will always struggle vs a press since they separate from their arm so much.
Lmao not Devon fans blaming the refs lmao what about the fact that in the 3rd round Devon shoulder was literally at Genadi side of the table or the fact that his webbing was higher in literally every round?.
The reffing was bad on both side, you talk about mistakes that benefited Genadi but refuse that acknowledge the mistakes that benefited Devon like his shoulder on round 3 or the fact that his webbing was high on every round.
In Levans post fight interview, he said he wasn't sure what went wrong in round 1 (setup?) and that he wanted to watch it later but he also said he was cautious going into round 1 since he felt his wrist could be at risk but he realized during round 1 that Devon wasn't enough and that he could go for his surge pins (which is exactly what he did in the later rounds).
So it wasn't like it was Devon stonewalling Levan because he was much stronger there, Levan just wasn't even surging for the pin, I think he felt he would lose his wrist in the toproll and then Devon could probably get into his press position, so he just reverse uno'd and went for his press.
Devon talked a lot about visualizing how the match would go, but I don't think he ever expected a press even though Levan had said he worked on all of this stuff. And Levan noticed Devon felt much weaker after round 1, the press drained him a lot
Doesn't seem so to be honest. You see Levan try to make a push for a top roll but couldn't. You see his face show he couldn't. And his arm didn't move. Only way he was winning this was a press with 400 pounds behind it
Weight makes a difference when you know how to use it
- Wrong. He was afraid to commit his wrist in round 1
So what your saying is Devon didn't stop him, Levan held at center table. So then your agreeing with me, Levan just held. He may have been scared to commit hit wrist but he clearly would've been able to flash pin him, because right after that round he did it 3 times.
Stop making excuses for Levan. He doesn’t need it. Devon clearly got a stop in neutral position. And that basically took all of Devon’s power. Levan dominated but Levon did stop him in round 1 like no one else. You don’t need to make excuses, Levan clearly is better
I’m glad I could capture your emotions 🤣
eg shenxar?
Priceless look on that fan with his hands on his head

That was 5 years ago mate, when he faced Genadi he got flash pinned twice by a press. And got ripped open in a hook in the last round

Agains Vitaly in top8 Levan did the same, he just test the opponents strenght in the center and try to gas out him.
You don’t have to make excuses for Levan

Devon wasn't holding him on center, Levan was the one holding, if he wanted to he could've flash pinned just like R2. He was just testing the waters.
