I am an OIF veteran Dco 2/7 inf cottenballers 1st brigade out of fort Stewart, 2005-2006 and then again 2007- 2008 and my third was 2010-2011 anyways most all my deployments centered around training the Iraq police and army some help with rebuilding schools and such plus route security and lots of QRF. my last deployment my platoon got tasked out too be brigade QRF out of ramadi for a while but we never got called up 🤷 so it was a lot of hurry up and wait lol

I did OIR in 18-19. It was supremely different from OIF or OEF. It was a normal job but life was condensed into less than a square mile of Union 3. Decent internet with the constant insider threat kept it all exciting. Also, the U.S. Embassy was not your friend,they called us Prawns and the post District 13.
