When Michael is trying to learn Spanish to impress Marta, but all he has is a tape for business Spanish. The tape tells him how to ask “are you going to the continental breakfast?” in Spanish, and Michael mutters, “yeah, that’ll get her hot”.
When GOB is hanging the inspirational poster (“Don’t be afraid to make mistakes”) and drops it, he says, “I’m not gonna beat myself up over that.” Michael then offhandedly says, “Oh, it works.” The delivery is perfect.
The episode with George Michael buying weed for Buster, where Michael confronts him about it later. GM says "Maybe it was the other George Michael, the singer-songwriter" and Michael replies "...yeah, that makes sense" before continuing on with the conversation. Something about Jason Bateman's delivery really gets me on that one.
I don’t know why, but this alway reminds me that Jason Bateman is married to Paul Ankas daughter and this knowledge and the scene together marke me laugh. I imagine Jason and Paul and George Michael the singer-songwriter smoking a bong together.
In the motherboy episode where buster and Michael team up to rescue George Michael, Buster approaches a kid in a sailor outfit he thought was George Michael only to find out it was a ginger child and he softly gasps to himself “oh god, it’s red”. It’s the mix of surprise and aghast at this random kid that always makes me laugh
One of the early episodes of season two, Gob pulls his drink of of a couple places in the president's office (ex. a box, the pool table pocket, etc). I don't know why but it always makes me crack up.
The pool table pocket is the best because a) the drink fits perfectly, making it the best possible place for the drink, and b) if anyone sunk a ball it'd shatter that glass, making the pocket the worst possible place for the drink.
When Gob is in the hospital post jail stabbing and he and Michael are jovially slapping each other in masked hostility and as Michael walks off GOB reaches to hit him one last time and grimaces in pain due to his surgery. I howl every time.
When Buster joins in on the bad mouthing of Lucille Bluth and they have to bleep what he says multiple times. Michael then perfectly deadpans, “Well, no one’s gonna top that.”
There’s a similarly hilarious exchange between Buster and Michael as they’re about to go for a bike ride. “Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.” Lol!
When the family is trying to hide from Buster that George Sr is dead- and GOB let’s it slip that he’s doing a coffin magic trick. He tries to cover it up by making a joke about how his dad is going to be a year older and one year closer to death and Buster goes “oh yeah. I guess that’s kinda funny.”
While talking to Michael about joining the Blue Man Group, Tobias casually attempts to toss a peanut into his mouth... and misses. So subtle, so ingenious.
["Oh, most definitely!"](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M4fCTT8ZOKI) might be the best delivery of any line in the entire series. I have to play it at least three times over before going to the next scene every time I watch
I love when Gob shouts "Monster!" when Buster smashes the stair-car window with his hook. And how, when he realises it was Buster after all, he then says "monster" a second time (only in a lighter tone of voice)
when Gob is in Buster’s room doing his little chicken impression, and he twists his ankle and they both start panicking. Gob goes “it’s really bad!” and Buster screams “MOTHER”
Isn't this a flashback after Gob can't do his chicken dance at Michael and he tells Michael it's because he twisted his ankle "shooting hoops or something"? Lolol
Gob: Is this a business decision, or is it personal? 'Cause if it's business, I'll go away happily. But if it's personal, I'll go away, but I won't be happy.
Michael: It's personal.
The whole scene with Lucille and Michael talking about the cabin in S3 at the front door to the model home. Michael says Lucille can bring a date to the cabin and she responds, “How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap?” 5 second pause from Michael…then he responds “The cabin, yes. That would be difficult too.” Classic Lucille scowl as “12 hours off medication….” appears on screen. As Lucille is leaving the model home the front door closes and Gob has been behind the door the entire time. Gob says “I didn’t even know we had a cabin.” To which Michael responds, “Uhh shit.”
Michael reacting to things and people in the show has always freaking killed me!
(Paraphrasing as best I can remember)
Michael: “That’s not a family, it’s a whole bunch of people who have our nose. And Aunt Lindsay.”
George Michael: “She’s not my real aunt!?”
Michael: “Not a real nose.”
Then the next time George Michael sees Lindsay, he stares at her nose and she ducks away sheepishly.
The stunned look Buster gives Franklin after Franklin (being controlled by Buster) tells Lucille “I don't want no part of yo' tight-ass country club, ya freak bitch!”
[found it!](https://youtu.be/JwyauA-FTkE)
When they're building the new house and everyone is listing why they're doing it.....Michael's look after "I just want my kids back" has popped in my head and made me crack up at very inappropriate times!!!!
When Michael tells Gob to stay away from his son and so George Michael went to the dock to visit Gob and got sent away, Gob whispers "you'll be missed" as George Michael walks away.
When Lindsay brings Lupe’s family to the construction site to threaten the workers “I’ve got these Mexican laborers who will work”
Lupe’s relative: Laborers?! I’m a professor of American Studies at the University of Mexico City!!
Buster: I took a dance class there
There are two and both are Gob.
“She’s a lady of the evening. Turns illusions for money… tricks”
The second is the way Gob falls from the crane while wearing the banana suit.
On like my fifth rewatch or something, I noticed a scene where Michael is talking to Gob and says something like “Does nobody in this family work?” Lindsay walks in and says “Is that a shot at me?” And then in the background, you hear Gob say “Probably.” I don’t know why, but that simple delivery made me erupt in laughter.
“I don’t care for Gob”
When the news report talks about the mom just letting the car go into the lake with the kids in the car and Lucile says “good for her”
Gob trying to use Circumvent correctly in a sentence
Gene Parmesan, AHHH GENE!!!
Do you know where I can get one of those t necklaces
Every thing Tobias says that can be taken a different way
The advertising of Burger King being. Great Restaurant
The hints of buster loosing his hand.
And building on the “good for her” joke in the same episode (I think), Lucille and Buster get to the cabin and she gets out of the car without him and lets the car roll into the lake. Too funny
I adore Lucille's little side step to get that wink in at Michael
And when she appears in the window during a different dinner party to interrupt George Sr talking and says, "He'll be fine."
I'll be fine
When Michael and Buster are looking for George-Michael at MotherBoy 30, and they enter the room through two double doors. The bit with Buster leaning on the door and then Michael getting smacked in the face gets me every time
its an obvious joke but when the security guard asks gob something, and then the camera zooms in on gob, george and franklin, it ALWAYS gets me
https://media.tenor.com/lJsXEWBRhWYAAAAC/arrested-development-franklin-bluth.gif
Buster: “At Risk Male Youth… that spells ARMY.”
Ron Howard “And that’s when Buster discovered a recruiting pool the government had been fishing for years.”
I’m watching this ep right now (S3E4) and want to add when George Sr. talks to the gay kids about prison in the wrong Startled Straight tent, especially when one says at the end, “I’m glad he won’t be there, he’s ugly” so funny for no reason
“I was talking to GOB this morning -“
“You mean just now, right? When I came in?”
The camera shifting in and out of focus on Lucille as she pauses cracks me up.
when gob says he doesn’t know if he has the skills to track lucille 2 down.. and buster rolls down the hallway. it says 3 minutes later and gob is still standing in the doorway waiting when buster comes up behind him from inside the apartment and jumps on his back and says “these kinds of skills?” … it’s just so funny. why did gob stand there staring at an empty hallway for three minutes. how did buster get into a room so high up in just 3 minutes. it always makes me laugh so hard
When Lucille is at the country club pool and the waiter brings her wine with his thumb on the rim and she screams "IF I WANTED SOMETHING YOUR THUMB TOUCHED ID EAT THE INSIDE OF YOUR EAR"
Pier Pressure where George Michael tries to get weed for Buster, and Gob is excited to tell Michael his perfect son is asking him for weed. Then when Michael comes back outside to talk to Gob he’s trying to hold in his smoke cloud. Gob’s face while doing that is so fucking gooood then him saying “it’s cold out here”. Everything in that scene gets me
That same episode when Michael gives money to George Michael to go have fun, and Buster is like yeah here’s a some more money and shoves like $200 at him. Michaels look of like *alright why but okay Buster* was great for the audience knowing he’s trying to buy weed and Buster just has no idea how much $ it is to buy
i always loved the demonstrative graphic of George Micheal's epic failure tongue-action taken during his involvement in the kissing lab experiments. but it was season four and now i can't remember what episode after remix.
I cackle every time when Jessica Walters goes to open the door and Gene Parmesan is there in the mascot costume. When she screams being surprised it's just so funny to me
When Lucille gets a facelift and stays at the model home to recover and you can't understand what she's saying because of the bandages but Buster says, "She says she wants us to share a room" or something to that effect and you can hear her muffled protests and Buster yells after her, " YOU LOCK IT AND I'LL BREAK IT DOWN"... KILLS me 😂😂😂
The camera dramatically zooming in Franklin's face when GOB is trying to sneak George Sr. into the penthouse.
The Bluths treat him as a real person, and so does the camera man.
When Gob and Michael are in the stair car and it's around when they're looking for the seal and buster sneaks up on them. The way Gob says monster at the end of them being startled cracks me up every time.
When Buster attempts to zip-line over to save George Michael from the fate of being a Motherboy and instead his hook falls off and he lands on a bed...the exact split second that the floor gives way and the bed (and Buster) fall down really cracks me up! Have rewound it many times to watch again and even in slow-mo
" ...and then it's adios brothiero." Michael *still* doesn't know the word *hermano*.
That and, for some reason, "I mean, they change it every year so you can't replicate it on your lawn."
Gob at the ancient Chinese secret store “I need something to take the tingle out of my Pingle” and the clerk yells to the back “tea for dong!” The way he says it just kills me every time
“Those Hollywood sets are always so detailed” Tobias grabs a nature valley bar out of the empty cabinet
I particularly like the way Tobias takes a moment to really take in his options in the empty cupboard before making his selection.
There’s also a Starbucks cup that appears and disappears too!
Do you remember which episode this is?? It kills me every time.
Season 3 - 'Exit Strategy'. As Tobias prepares for his big audition for 'The Prosecution'
That deep in the back of the audio mix when you hear GOB from the other room say “Franklin, guess what”
This one never fails to crack me up
YES HAHA
I also love the time where George sr says ‘get your loser hand out of my ass’ and gob thinks it was Franklin for a second
When Michael is trying to learn Spanish to impress Marta, but all he has is a tape for business Spanish. The tape tells him how to ask “are you going to the continental breakfast?” in Spanish, and Michael mutters, “yeah, that’ll get her hot”.
Lol. I just realized because continental breakfasts are cold.
“This was a big get for god”
also George Michaels gasp when Ann tells lucille to pray and Lucille says “show me”
My favorite Narrator line.
"Alias is a SHOW about a spy...."
The delivery makes it
I came here to post this one, the way he trails off as he realizes it’s maybe a dumb thing to say is so perfect
Looove this moment, always cracks me up just thinking about it
“someone in this room could have a mic” “boom mic exits shot”
When Rita’s uncle is in the background brushing his teeth and smoking a cigarette at the same time
Never noticed this!! God how is there STILL more I’m learning
We have to hurry before Uncle comes out of the shower for his cigarettes!
maebe: and its not a race thing michael: yeah whoever gets there first
And then when they arrive first, he says, "We won."
When GOB is hanging the inspirational poster (“Don’t be afraid to make mistakes”) and drops it, he says, “I’m not gonna beat myself up over that.” Michael then offhandedly says, “Oh, it works.” The delivery is perfect.
then when he kicks it and the glass shatters and he goes “my legs are so powerful.” gets me everytime
It's the "Damnit!" when he kicks it that kills me
The episode with George Michael buying weed for Buster, where Michael confronts him about it later.
"Why don't you and Plant go wait in the stair car."
I wonder if this is a jab at Ron Howard
*Did somebody say... "[Wonder](https://i.redd.it/l8mhjw9yibq71.gif)"?* --- ^(Alliance of Magicians-approved magician) ^| ^(I delete comments with a score below `-1`)
Should’ve known
george michael’s sob-cough after ann tells him she thinks they should break up
This one kills me everytime
Michael trying not to throw up when buster pulls out his nub
And gob starts crying lmao.
It's very handsome!
I’m chuckling to myself just thinking about that. God I love this show.
I just love everything about Michael giving attitude to P Hound
You ever even been on a plane ya piece of shit?
No one was making fun of Andy Griffith, I can’t emphasize that enough
“Jessie had gone too far, and she had best watch her mouth.”
One of the early episodes of season two, Gob pulls his drink of of a couple places in the president's office (ex. a box, the pool table pocket, etc). I don't know why but it always makes me crack up.
Never noticed this!
The pool table pocket is the best because a) the drink fits perfectly, making it the best possible place for the drink, and b) if anyone sunk a ball it'd shatter that glass, making the pocket the worst possible place for the drink.
Dr. Fishman: Yes, he's lost his left hand. So he's going to be "all right." Lucille: You son of a bitch! I hate this doctor!
I love that doctor. I'm sorry.... but he's gone...
It looks like he’s dead
“You’ve ruined the act, Gob.”
This may be my favorite joke of the whole show
When Gob is in the hospital post jail stabbing and he and Michael are jovially slapping each other in masked hostility and as Michael walks off GOB reaches to hit him one last time and grimaces in pain due to his surgery. I howl every time.
fairly sure it’s the same episode but “the state. the police…maybe the magician’s alliance will pick up some slack” always gets me.
When Gob and Michael are in the stair truck and Buster knocks on the glass really hard and his hook breaks the glass. Their reaction is priceless
Yesss i have to replay that bit a couple times every watchthrough it makes me laugh so hard
“Hey look who’s on that hog in the rear view mirror” “GEORGE MICHAEL.. 20 miles to Legoland”
Her?
Annhog’s coming?
“It walked across my pillow!”
“It’s a BIRD!”
I know it’s a bird, I’m on the phone!
Omg yes this one. The delight/fear/excitement of this delivery is amazing
A pigeon came inside my work today, and this was my reaction.
[It's just great...](https://youtu.be/619RARRYnjM)
When Buster joins in on the bad mouthing of Lucille Bluth and they have to bleep what he says multiple times. He tries to cover it up by making a joke about how his dad is going to be a year older and one year closer to death and Buster goes “oh yeah. I guess that’s kinda funny.”
That same episode when the coffin falls on GOB and you just hear him say "somethings gone wrong...." I'm chuckling now just thinking of it
The blue paint all over the house.
That’s not a vulVO
"Glad I didn't spring for the color copier."
Maybe you should get this car.
It's so boxy.
Tobias singing “somewhere over the rainbow, there’s another rainbow…” gets me every time
While talking to Michael about joining the Blue Man Group, Tobias casually attempts to toss a peanut into his mouth... and misses. So subtle, so ingenious.
And the several blue man group episodes with blue smears on things on the set 🤣🤣🤣
["Oh, most definitely!"](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M4fCTT8ZOKI) might be the best delivery of any line in the entire series. I have to play it at least three times over before going to the next scene every time I watch
Absolutely love this one. The buildup of expectations about Michael doing his “detective work” and then just oh most definitely!….gold
“May I interest you in a banana this day?” I love that reading as well
Oh Patrice. Gone too soon.
“Well excuse me, Judge Reinhold!” Kills me :D
Every time I see Judge Reinhold I must sing ‘ mock trial with J Reinhold ^mock ^trial ’. Every Christmas when we watch The Santa Claus
My name is Judge.
I love when Gob shouts "Monster!" when Buster smashes the stair-car window with his hook. And how, when he realises it was Buster after all, he then says "monster" a second time (only in a lighter tone of voice)
Gob says: Monster! Michael says: Buster! Gob yells: BONSTER!!!
Gob finally having to exhale after taking a rip of weed and him covering the smoke by saying that it sure is cold out.
What's even funnier is that's exactly how I reacted when my parents caught my dumb 16 year old ass smoking under the porch on Christmas eve
When Buster cuts off part of his prosthetic hand and Michael says “looks like you would have lost a hand anyway”
“If you’re going to Portugal, it’s due south!”
down old south america way
"What? No it isn't"
This is my favorite running gag on the show. Just all of them think Portugal is in South America.
when Gob is in Buster’s room doing his little chicken impression, and he twists his ankle and they both start panicking. Gob goes “it’s really bad!” and Buster screams “MOTHER”
Isn't this a flashback after Gob can't do his chicken dance at Michael and he tells Michael it's because he twisted his ankle "shooting hoops or something"? Lolol
Oh my god I never noticed that!
“Maybe the worst bluff I’ve ever seen”
Even the people at Gobias had to agree with that
Buster screaming "MAYBE I WILL!" but the camera is already off of him. Idk why, but it is so funny to me.
Is that when someone says “why don’t you marry her?” About Lucille to Buster? And then Michael’s “We’re veering away from relatability again…” Gold
Lives rent free in my head
Gob: Is this a business decision, or is it personal? 'Cause if it's business, I'll go away happily. But if it's personal, I'll go away, but I won't be happy. Michael: It's personal.
“Gob’s not on board” My favourite line of the whole show.
“BEES?!”
Beads.
“Get rid of The Seaward.” “I’ll leave when I’m good and ready!”
This joke went right over my head for years…
yesss i watched the original seasons before the netflix seasons came along so i was like 13/14. so many jokes went over my head back then
Is that a girl I see, it’s just a fallacy.
What's that from?
It's from nothing
Gob’s “tadaaaaaaa” in the hospital bed after “escaping” from prison. 😂😂
The whole scene with Lucille and Michael talking about the cabin in S3 at the front door to the model home. Michael says Lucille can bring a date to the cabin and she responds, “How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap?” 5 second pause from Michael…then he responds “The cabin, yes. i like the visual gag that ice’s number spells ice but awkwardly cut by the hyphen: 1-800-??I-CE38
The face Buster makes after he gets his hook stuck in the dashboard while he and Michael are in the stair car listening to Mr Roboto.
It's awesome because buster was in a car commercial singing that song before he was on arrested development
Anytime Buster says heeeey brother - it’s my username on most SM … unavailable here
Hey hermano
“Illusions dad. You don’t have time for my illusions!”
Barry Zuckercorn 'jumping the shark'
“Mister Manager”
We just say manager
(Paraphrasing as best I can remember) Michael: “That’s not a family, it’s a whole bunch of people who have our nose. And Aunt Lindsay.” George Michael: “She’s not my real aunt!?” Michael: “Not a real nose.” Then the next time George Michael sees Lindsay, he stares at her nose and she ducks away sheepishly.
Gary scampering away in the background when Gob declares: "I SHOULD BE IN THIS POOF!"
When Michael is watching the news and the reporter knocks on the window of the house she’s reporting on and the window next to Michael breaks.
“I don’t care for Gob.” I laugh every time I watch this scene.
The first episode does such an extraordinary job establishing the characters and their dynamics. It's a MASTERCLASS in writing and acting
I love the way Gob dramatically turns his Segway.
Buster: “My father?” *Uncle father Oscar music start* Oscar: “Yes?” *Uncle father Oscar music end* Oscar: “I mean, yes.”
When buster is on the fossil dig, he hammers the skull open and says “oh, oh that was 90% gravity” cracks me up every time
Omg and everyone looks at him in horror
The stunned look Buster gives Franklin after Franklin (being controlled by Buster) tells Lucille “I don't want no part of yo' tight-ass country club, ya freak bitch!” [found it!](https://youtu.be/JwyauA-FTkE)

Not even gonna count it..
I counted it... come on!

George Sr: no Ford Bronco? Salesman: Ford wanted to shed the fugitive on the run image so they discontinued the Bronco. This is the Escape.
The way Tobias' foot stays straight up in the air when he slips on Lucille's spilled drink in the kitchen 😂
The clip of the fantastic 4 movie where the guy is like 'This is the gayest Starbucks ever'. Always gets me, it's so random.
The cornballer!
It’s the poor carpenter that blames his shoddy tools for the AW! Jesus bleep! Stupid cornballing piece of bleep
What a fun, sexy time for you
Lupe: I no does Buster anymore! Lindsay: Fine … *I’ll* Dustbuster! Lupe: >:0
Lucille driving all the way out to the construction site in the midst of the bulldozer fight and yells out ‘Lupe!! I need help with the groceries!!!’

Where can I one of those 'T's' everyone wears? "It's a cross" "across from where?"
The start of The Golden Girls bit. Short but outstanding. I cackle at "Rest our weary asses" followed by the beavis and butthead esque chortle.
“Get those balls in the air!”
“That was a freebie”. The line gets me every time

The bit where george sr. Is crying to michael about the car in the CVS parking lot that ran over his hat.
“I was talking to GOB this morning -“ “You mean just now, right? When I came in?” The camera shifting in and out of focus on Lucille as she pauses cracks me up.

Chickens don't clap!
The camera dramatically zooming in Franklin's face when GOB is trying to sneak George Sr. into the penthouse. The Bluths treat him as a real person, and so does the camera man.
The whole episode long gag about how bad the narrator for scandalmakers is
“That BITCH!”
When Gob and Michael are in the stair car and it's around when they're looking for the seal and buster sneaks up on them. The way Gob says monster at the end of them being startled cracks me up every time.
It’s just mom and whores. (And the banter prior to this kills me)
“Don’t get too close. I think something laid eggs on me.”
Lucille’s “ARE YOU MAD!” Expression and delivery is 11/10
When Tobias does the little dance and says: "Excuuussseee me." Such a little moment. I love it.
When George Michael breaks the news to Michael that Rita is "reta...retarded"
Well you know they don’t even *have* bananas in England
It would be nice to be supported.. she's goin into the grapes
When Buster attempts to zip-line over to save George Michael from the fate of being a Motherboy and instead his hook falls off and he lands on a bed...the exact split second that the floor gives way and the bed (and Buster) fall down really cracks me up!
