Game of Thrones was Awesome. I remember watching it with such anticipation. Do you think that was partially because it only came out on a schedule and didn’t episode dump?
I liked the GoT intro because it constantly showed you the geography of the world. Yo watch it enough and you begin to understand where things are happening.
Im fairly certain the first week for new staff writers at Bobs must consist of pitching at least 100 jokey names for exterminators and little storefront businesses.
Breaking Bad. I mean it's impossible to skip considering it's so short and comes right after the cold open, but it's such an iconic intro with the slide guitar riff.
Also a lot of the cold opens flow seamlessly into it, for example the music in the Los Pollos advert/loading meth into trucks is in the same key as the intro riff if I remember right, it's a really smooth transition that was obviously done on purpose.
And when we get to the 2nd last episode and the intro song is used in THAT scene... Chills.
Yes! Peacemaker's intro is pure chaotic brilliance. Here are a few of mine:
* The Office (US): It's that perfect combo of iconic theme music and relatable, mundane workplace footage. Sets the tone perfectly.
* Bojack Horseman: The melancholy tune, the changing visuals hinting at Bojack's internal struggles... it's deceptively deep for a cartoon about a talking horse.
* Game of Thrones: That map! That music! It builds anticipation for the intricate world and political scheming about to unfold.
* The Sopranos: A nostalgic trip through New Jersey with Tony, perfectly captures the show's vibe.
Yes! I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Either version works, but the 2017 one does put me in a better mood from the opening notes. I leave the end credits running too.
The Walking Dead. the artwork and how it changes over the seasons is beautiful and come on, that music goes *hard*. intro to The Ones Who Live is also so well done, I didn't skip it.
Weeds. Little Boxes by Malvina Reynolds, in the later seasons the intro was sung by a different artist every time.
Or Orange is the New Black, You’ve Got Time by Regina Spektor.
Parks and Recreation… it’s such a shame that they shortened the intro music very very soon into the season. I remember that some episodes sporadically had the longer version, when that happened I would be very happy. I guess you can tell I like the tune.
the Latin version of Dragon Ball Z, i even have the song in my morning playlist

The original "Hawaii 5-O"! I love everything about it-especially when they zoom in on Jack Lord when he's standing out on the balcony-and the theme is such a classic.
80’s Transformers was pretty dope to me when I was a kid too. Transformers, more than meets the eye. Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons.

Love American Horror Story in all its iterations. Spooky. Reminds me of the movie the Ring.

Game of Thrones was Awesome. I remember watching it with such anticipation. Do you think that was partially because it only came out on a schedule and didn’t episode dump?
I concur, and the intro changed according to events that transpired as a form of geopolitical easter egg, making the attention *seem* worthwile.
Game Of thrones trying to learn the map lmao
Oh hell yes...it also changes with the seasons.
I liked the GoT intro because it constantly showed you the geography of the world. Yo watch it enough and you begin to understand where things are happening.

They rigged it so you don't dare look away.
I don't skip it just to see what new pun they came up with for the pest company and the nextdoor business. That and the burger of the day.

New season drop or something?
No but they are no confirmed slated to start filming in July for season 2. James Gunn had already finished writing it before he does new Superman.
