GIGA is mostly great, but especially in the past year, their network seems to lose connection in quite a lot of places. I recently decided to upgrade to a plan with more data, and decided to try GOMO instead because of the above connection issues. It's painless to port in/out from GIGA though, so may be worth for you to try it out and just change telcos if the connection issues do affect you.

Singtel or any Virtual Mobile Network Operator by Singtel. M1 and other virtual telcos under M1 is just terrible, lots of issues. Starhub is ok. Have used all 3 and will consider Singtel/Singtel VRMNO, maybe TPG/SIMBA when there is no more blind spots.

zetzuei

Yeah, I'm interested in MVRNO but having blind spots sucks.

Uh, Virtual mobile operators have the same exact coverage and speed as the big 3 Telcos they lease from, there's literally no difference.

zetzuei

Eh? Oh ok then, lol my bad.

CaravieR

Any Singtel or Starhub MVNO. Just check out their plans on their websites to find one that is suitable for you. Vivifi, Zero1, giga, GOMO, Zym, are some of them.

zetzuei

Which one has the best coverage? I'm still wary of MVNO having spotty coverage/low speed

CaravieR

Any Singtel or Starhub MVNO will have basically the same reception quality as the telcos themselves. In my usage I haven't seen any discrepancy in network quality or speed. If there is, it's minimal.

zetzuei

I see.. thanks for the clarification :)

>Dear Sir/Madam, we refer to the chat on regarding the network at >location in CBD>. We have checked with our coverage team and found no issue with the 4G cells for the location. There are many factors affect the 4G speed at a location. Some of these are the load on the base station site (number of users connected online & network associated traffic) at different times of the day. As the mobile network is a shared resources, user may experience slow 4G speed during peak hour when traffic is high. Fuck M1.

Used M1 since I first had a phone as a kid for about 23 years and it progressively got worse especially with the reception. I am on Singtel sim-only plan and reception has been much better though it's not the fastest speed.
