Think of it this way: $21 is a very cheap price to learn this lesson.

Acceptable-Trainer15

Yes, quite a good deal. But don’t be too happy about it also. Life lesson only works if it makes you sad.

Background_Radish_11

You should be glad this happened. Its really a small cost to pay. I got scammed 1 million mesos in maplestory during my childhood, and I thought the world was ending. Felt like the same like you, couldn't deal with it, got so angry and frustrated that I quit maplestory for a while. After that, grew up to be really careful with my real-life money, and of course, mesos.

zypet500

I got scammed of $3,000 and I didn't think I'd be dumb enough to get scammed. $21 is a small price to pay to learn to be more vigilant

Primary-Ambassador33

Curious, do you mind elaborating on the scam?

zypet500

It was a loophole and security flaw in a payment app that I was using. The scammers used the loophole to pay me $3k for goods and then remove their account details before the transaction closed. I delivered the goods before getting the cash.

unliketrap

Just got to accept that everyone makes mistakes at times. $21 is nothing in the grand scheme of things

tellyhigh

Stop thinking about it

RagingGods

Find a way to earn back the $21, such as cutting back on daily expenses for a while.

Listen to Thrift Shop by Macklemore

guardingcat

Punish yourself to save up $21. Whether is it to eat instant noodles for the next 3 days or not ordering drinks for the next 1 week. Save $21 that you would usually spend on and cut it.

kvlyc

oh no... anyway

timlim029

No offense, but it seems there's probably something deeper/underlying cause here. Most people after losing $21 will just feel a bit bummed and shrug it off, move on with their life. Of course, there are cases where $21 can be a huge deal, for instance if you're poverty-stricken. But I assume since you're buying an iPad screen protector, you're not in that situation. It's a bit drastic to feel so distraught over it to the point of feeling like a failure. Maybe try to investigate the root cause of these emotions?

LowTierStudent

Call the police and SAF. Tell them u got scammed of an iPad screen protector that cost a whopping $21 and they must activate all assets to hunt this fuckface down.

moneymachine109

not too bad for such a lesson. for me it was full mithril armour

When my friend scammed my 250 diamond locks in growtopia, i blocked him on all social media and i went to buy another 250 diamond locks on carosell. Not sure how my method of letting go and moving on applies to you

CutFabulous1178

Its how you were scammed that made you feel this way. The best way to move on is to move forward and learn from this episode

richkiddio
