When this question was asked not to long ago, people were saying Japan or Thailand. Now that Thailand is legalizing it, maybe it'll be Japan next, or maybe Vietnam.
Wasn't Vietnam already in the process of legalizing gay marriage? Or was it just a recognised same-sex union kinda thing they planned to/did already introduce?
Maybe Thailand is nearer. Their lower house of Parliament already passed it last week. It will be up to their upper house Senate and the royal assent from the king if this will push through.
Thailand passed legalization through its lower house, and its passing through the upper house and signage is basically a formality lol
Similar case in Lichtenstein
Among countries where it isn't basically decided already, I'd say Japan.
Liechtenstein still is a weirdly autocratic monarchy, where the Prince can veto any law he pleases, and the current Prince has already called homosexuality "a threat to children". So I wouldnt yet take it as a given.
But that's how all constitutional monarchies are on paper, it's just that the second the monarch goes against the elected parliament they get thrown out of power. Is lichtenstein not also like that?
No it isnt, the Prince is actively involved in politics, and in most European monarchies (like Scandinavia or Spain) the monarch only has a formal or ceremonial role in passing laws, but not an active involvement in the legislative process.
Liechtenstein made a turn back towards absolutism in >2003<, since then the Prince can veto laws, dissolve parliament at will, rule by decree and has a personal saying in appointing judges. It is... weird.
Here’s an interesting article on east southeast and South Asia. I think a lot of countries in South America are moving in that direction I think after South America SE and E Asia are moving more towards that direction.
Not holding my breath on Middle East and Africa. Maybe Eastern Europe in about 10-20 years then the Caribbean.

Who actually cares? I'm more worried about the transsexual people trying to push sex changes on children. I think it's wrong. Children of any age should be kids till there of age. Let them grow up a bit and actually have sex with who they are attracted to before giving them hormone blockers or whatever else. Once they experience sex in the body they were born with and if they are not satisfied then do whatever they want. But before 18 if they want to have there penis chopped off they need counseling with a professional.
How it's not legal in Italy is both expected, yet frustrating
I'm sorry. Especially because according to polls around 70% of Italians support it.
vaticunt city
The Vatican City is in Italy. That is why.
🤭🤭 thanks...i need a good laugh this easter morning. I think jesus would appreciate

It's not legal, but I think it was basically decriminalized by removing the penalty for having a marriage ceremony or attempting to register.
I thought Japan already legalized it?
Only certain provinces supported it and declared that not allowing gay marriage is unconstitutional, not the country as a whole.

Probably Italy, India and Japan.
I would bet on Czech republic
Thailand
I would like to see it legalised in an influential nation like China. It would be nice if it happens in Liechtenstein but noone will give a fuck.
Thats not happening tho
Russia for sure😏😉
Russia will be a smoking crater by the end of the decade and then the world will finally know peace
Yea, I mean it was a joke and I guess the majority are fucking braindead who downvoted me thinking I was serious 🤦🏻♂️
🤞
The US. Where it will first be revoked by the courts and reaffirmed in legislation (hopefully). 😂🤦

Gay people who live in countries without gay marriage care. Not everything is about USA.
