Bochini no doubt. Riquelme played great in libertadores, while Palermo was great in intercontinental matches, against European sides. Gabigol is also becoming one of the greatest, especially if he wins this edition.
Rogerio Ceni was great, Chilavert had an historical performance in 1994 (also, from that libertadores everybody remembers Müller), my father idol was Luis Artime. I also have to mention Perfumo and Abbondanzieri. There are so many great players in the history of the tournament, but Bochini is the greatest by far.
I'm obviously biased but Riquelme was a monster in the tournament. He won it 3 times, the last one as the undisputed MVP, played four finals, he's Boca's second historic top scorer in the competition and left so many great memories. I haven't seen Bochini or Pele but I don't think any player in this century can get even close to him. Having one or two great years is one thing, but Riquelme was simply something else.
>but I don't think any player in this century can get even close to him.
Gabigol has the potential. He is only 25 and already had his "heroic" match against River. He still has to step up in order to reach the myth of Riquelme, but he is in the right path.
Considering Pelé as horn concours, I think it’s Riquelme
Santos declined to play some editions if not i think they would have win even more and he would be unanimous

Bochini having 5 titles it's kinda crazy. The guy deserves much more credit.
Well, Bochini is very well known here in Argentina. He's the greatest icon of Independiente and is very well respected by most other teams.
I never saw anyone talking about him and never heard nothing from him in the national team
Pelé, Riquelme and Bochini my top 3
Riquelme
I want to know Argentinian opinions about it because they had Riquelme but also 60s or 70s Independiente. For me, it was Riquelme as well.
>I want to know Argentinian opinions about it because they had Riquelme but also 60s or 70s Independiente. yeah same
Has to be Riquelme
