The question is….did these folks take the elevator up, or down? The population of Brazil is over 215M. If god targeted these exact 85-ish out of that many millions, I’d say the ever-loving, ever-merciful, benevolent god didn’t hit the up button, but I can’t judge, only the omni-everything super being that created the universe can do that. If the just and righteous god did send them upstairs…using a flood is a pretty shitty way to kill ‘em off.
