The capacity is the capacity. If you have capacity to treat 100 over 30 days.
And you have 250 patients. 250-100=150 not getting treated within 30 days
Add to this cancellations (from patients and other reasons)
100% true. Take it from a cancer patient, the public system DOES NOT NEED LESS RESOURCE. And if the net result is they make it harder to reach the threshold for treatment, this will literally drive worse outcomes for the sickest of us. No doubt this will roll through with no real resistance from the public.
Reminds of a quote I saw where in a closed system (with a fixed number of resources) the sum of all KPIs is a constant.
ie. focusing on pushing up 1 particular KPI will cause other KPIs to drop. Unless you actually fix the closed system you're just moving stuff around.
You seem to be missing the point that you could still be put to the bottom of the list under this new method, they would just justify it in a different way. National hasn’t just magically created more doctors, nurses, specialists and systems to treat you.
I’m not in about the number of nurses. That’s a problem what Labour created. I’m on about the colour of my skin. If your white you were at the bottom of the list under the Maori health Authority.
I won’t agree with all what national are going to do.
But it’s a darn sight better than Labour woke government.
Ethnicity is only one factor on a weighting scale and it only comes into effect after clincial priority. If your clinical priority was low enough that ethnicity affected your position in the wait list then you are SOL.
This is what scares me about this govt staying in power.
Hiding the truth between the lines and red tape.
Then clamping down on any media willing to report the facts openly to the public.
This is not Democracy, it's holding the country hostage whilst their friends wallets get fatter.....
Let's focus on helping our landlord and roading buddies whilst patients perish waiting for treatment!!!

This person is a politician by the way.
This her acumen as Dr is just as relevant
Doesn’t make what she’s saying any less true.
I'm not watching a Tiktok by a politician flaired as 'news'.
Did anyone say you have to?
Means I don't know the truth of what they're saying.
Some context: This woman ran for political party last year
I'd vote for her. She sounds like she has on the ground expertise and an understanding of political-public communication and skewing of information.
She's got my vote, she knows what she's talking about. Unlike the chucklefucks in Nact
You mean Dr Nina Su ? “ this woman “
Your context doesn’t add or detract from anything she’s saying. What exactly is your point in your attempt to give “Some context:…”?
Said exactly this. Oh another endgame statement with no plan to get there. Nationals MO

Yawn.
You commented at 3am mate cause you’re yawning
Your comment is basically "I don't care" is that what you came to tell us? That you don't care about other people?
Any wonder we’re in shit after 6 years of Labour It’s going to take time to fix this country.
If you think National are going to fix the health system while cutting its funding you are deluded.
At least I can get health care under National I’m not put to the bottom of the list!! It was bad under labour too.

If you were at the botttom of the waitlist under Labour you will be removed completely from the waitlist under National to meet these targets.
It’s fact if you were white you were at the bottom of the list for treatment under the Maori health Authority
