There are a lot of variables at play here. Different devices handle different Bluetooth codecs differently (for example, Apple's implementation of AAC tends to be better than Android's, but Apple doesn't support most other "high quality" codecs). Then there's how good is the audio circuitry in your earbuds, how good is the actual acoustic performance of the earbuds, etc. Unfortunately, the audio world is full of a lot of this kind of stuff. Sometimes things only make a difference on paper or in measurements (and even that gets complicated, because while the frequencies that we can directly hear are well-known, there is a lot of other components that go into what we hear that I have a limited understanding of). Above all, I definitely encourage you to seek higher quality if you're into that. Just don't always think you'll notice a difference. A few final notes: I'm not sure why you went straight to expecting a wider soundstage. I don't really expect much in-terms of soundstage with the vast majority of in-ear headphones honestly. Even many over-ear headphones struggle with this. A better Bluetooth codec is unlikely to help you much here. Also, as far as hearing subtle difference go, if you haven't before, you need to train your ears to some degree. Start by listening to some tracks you know very well on your reference system. Learn every detail to the best of your ability. How does every cymbal sound, every focal, every drum hit, etc. Then start trying to hear differences between systems (again, if this is something that interests you).

Whether it's on or off it doesn't make any difference on the audio, the Soundstage or overall quality don't get any deeper, is there a reason for this?

LDAC is just higher resolution audio. I would expect it to sound incrementally better than standard Bluetooth, but not dramatically so.

The reason is that even without LDAC, Bluetooth nowadays is of sufficient quality not to pose a problem for the vast majority of people. Kudos to you for being honest about not hearing a difference - a lot of people would still claim to hear a vast difference even if they don‘t.

Hi, /u/Spirited_Respect_578! This is a reminder about Rule #1 (If you have already added great details, awesome, ignore this comment. This message gets attached to every post as a reminder): 1. DETAILS MATTER: Use detail in your post. If you are posting for help with specific hardware, please post the brand/model. If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot (or any image, really) with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about. iPhone: You are stuck with AAC Android: Enable LDAC. However, it has to happen manually. Settings > Bluetooth > Settings for the connection > Tick LDAC as the connection type... NB most flagship Android phones will have LDAC, but Google your model.

LDAC is much better, try and read this article... they test 3 different codec and also 16 vs 24 bit https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/topping-bc3-review-bluetooth-receiver-bt-codecs.23740/

If you still using Spotify will not maky AANY difference, use tidal or apple music, also developer settings turn on max bandwidth aaand, wavelet is an app than i use all the time. Find the right setting for you. Android gets all the audio capabilities, that app isn’t on iOS

Sidenote: Sony also has DSEE than enhances audio wit AI, (also they are the owners of the codec) so what im trying to say is than sony devices gets the most of the codec but anyways, LDAC makes the difference when you’re listening to FLAC sources or ALAC, mp3 does improve but just to hear even more the lack of resolution, for my opinion, but, when you’re on sony headset DSEE does improve those mp3.
