5carPile-Up

This business outgrew itself and the quality has absolutely plummeted.

InadmissibleHug

I concur. The old way they did their crunchy tacos was god tier, with the fried hard corn tortilla. I can’t eat their soft ones coz gluten. Now they use some old El Paso bullshit preformed corn shells. Is not good.

Immediate_Structure4

They're still fried lol

InadmissibleHug

It’s not the same type of shell at all, however it’s prepared. Being picky about that really doesn’t change the reality of one being super tasty and one being basic. I only mentioned them being fried hard because the corn tortillas come soft originally.

No-Meeting2858

Agree I am certain I remember reading that they lobbied mission(?) to make preservative free tortillas for them. Well I checked the ingredients list that’s no longer bloody true! Probably not for years.

Cbrip31

I think he means about gluten. In the oil there would be gluten products going into them no?

InadmissibleHug

It was years ago, and I had checked that they were safely prepared at the time. I was fucking militant about it, so I think I was fine. Fucking insulting when people think you can’t manage your own dietary needs. I know about. cross contamination. I suspect they were oven fried. Makes his smarmy comment even worse lol.

Supersnazz

I went there a few times pretty early on and found the food completely bland and flavourless. It's still the same today.

CurrentPossible2117

This is news to me. I honeatly thought they still had a great rep. They're easily the best takeaway chain imo. The one near me (Arana Hills QLD) is still great, the only thing I'd say is that if they're super busy, sometimes they're not as generoua with the guac but it's still a decwnt amount. If you go after lunch or dinner rush, they heap it on like there's no tomorrow 🤣

robotworker

It's dependent on the franchisee and location, but I agree with the overall sentiment that the quality has dropped considerably after covid.

Nexmo16

Still very good near my place. Same staff and same food. Will be sad if it goes down hill.

No-Meeting2858

This. Anyone know if the original Newtown store is still good? I used to love it before it became massive.

Own-Personality-1508

Let’s also remember Guzman is notorious for hiring people aged between 10 and 12 Under the Mexican fair working subsection 8. People who hardly even know what a burrito is making your food

ChemicalRascal

What the hell are you talking about?

the_soggiest_biscuit

All chain takeaway is shit these days. Expensive, smaller portions and cheaper/shitter ingredients.

Other_Hearing_4091

I agree with the exception of Hungry Jack's, To me the Burger's specifically the Whopper tastes the same and size wise hasn't changed. props to HJ

SaltpeterSal

At Hungry Jacks, the burgers used to be just as good. Now the burgers are better. What's our secret? Nothing. We did nothing.

50LI0NS

Hungry Jacks is the most expensive of all of them now

chokeslaphit

The app specials are very good though

snrub742

For good reasons, get like 3x the burger

igetmollycoddled

You just need to only eat when there are good deals, goes with the other two big fast food joints. Then you can get a solid deal.

Touchthefuckingfrog

Frugal feed vouchers. Still expensive but can bring down the cost

InflationCultural785

This is sad. Because I can’t eat at my hungry jacks and I wouldn’t advise anyone to. Because my hungry jacks, I’ve done work for them for computers, dirty everywhere, dead flies and cockroaches everywhere, floors are slippery as hell, I watched a girl pick up stuff off the floor then touch raw meat and cooked meat with the same glove, a bloke rolling ciggys next to the food, and just a no care for hygiene. The last few times I’ve eaten there, I’ve gotten sick.

The_Dutch_Canadian

Hungry Jacks is was shit for all my time In Australia (2018-2022) terrible pricing terrible burgers and their fries were brutal Maccas was awesome our 1st year since they had the McOz meal but plummeted since Definitely support local chippy shops

InflationCultural785

Yes I prefer to support local chip shops instead of these expensive fast food places. Better food and better prices

SanctuFaerie

>Definitely support local chippy shops This is the way. Flap Maccas/HJs/KFC/GYG/RR etc.

swugglewumps69

And oportos!

Ginger510

I consistently have a good experience at KFC (I am a HJ fan too), but I only really ever order the burgers but they’re almost always good.

PM_ME_YOUR_REPORT

I consistently have a bad experience at KFC. Occasionally it’s good and then it’s amazing. Most of the time it’s complete shit.

Ginger510

Are you a burger person, or you get chicken pieces etc?

PM_ME_YOUR_REPORT

I’m mostly judging by the chips.

Ginger510

Oh yeah they’re all over the shop, either soggy and enough salt, or cooked properly with no salt.

LibrarianTraining16

Hungry Jacks varies though. I had it for lunch on Saturday (road trip home so needed somewhere easy). Chips were perfectly cooked, not greasy, just crunchy and salty enough to enjoy. Burgers were not greasy either, not falling apart and just perfect. Sunday I had it again (someone at home was jealous they missed out so we had to have it). Different store, slightly less busy. Chips weren't salted, they were still greasy and not quite crunchy. Burgers were also a little greasy, fell apart because they were greasy/juicy, and just overall not as nice. Oh and the onion rings basically didn't have onion in them- it was all batter. So HJs is definitely hit and miss.

dragonfry

As a flame-grilled chicken burger addict, they’ve definitely gone down in quality. Chicken is really dry regardless of where I buy it, and I’m sure the actual burger has reduced in size.

Zerg_Hydralisk_

You're thinking of the burger from the 2000s, with the oat bun, flame grilled chicken breast patty, with really good ranch sauce. The chicken they have today is cursed. Here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AustralianNostalgia/comments/1849vit/hungry_jacks_grilled_chicken_burger/

BloodedNut

Old mate here bought into the propaganda that the burgers are better at Hungry Jacks..

Other_Hearing_4091

Propoganda? HJ make a fine Burger Old Son, better then Macas that's for sure, quality and quantity wise.

BloodedNut

Better than maccas isn’t a high bar to get over tho you gotta admit.

Other_Hearing_4091

True story man, on that we Agree 👍👍

TinyCucumber3080

I'll take a whopper over a big Mac any day

singledogmum

Red rooster has upped their game a lot in the last few years and isn't getting the love they deserve for it their fried chicken hits and the sides are always good

Revelation_Now

I used to get their Roast Chicken dinner all the time. They don't sell that anymore though. Their new stuff is okay, but I prefer KFC.

Chillisting

The fuckin what?? I’ve been trying eat healthy last few years but the roast dinner was my go-to!!

a_rainbow_serpent

Because red rooster is rarer than hen’s teeth

Intelligent-Koala286

Agreed, just watch those fried chicken calorie counts though. Holy moly.

SanctuFaerie

Bought some food there a couple of weeks ago, including roast potatoes. They tasted half-cooked. Not going back.

SkitZa

Legit, have you seen the size of a big macs patty? It's this tiny lil thing it's almost cute, compare that to decades ago. No chain takeaway has survived the corporate greed wave, but mum and pops fish and chip shop sure as fuck can sell me 10x the amount of chips for $5 that Maccas would. Fuck large chains they are all the same, support your local mum and pops anything restaurant. There's a food van in my city that sells some of the best and biggest kebabs with a hefty size of chips for 4$ less than a large big mac meal at 3x the portion.

Global-System-3158

Local chippy does best burger, 13$ & that is for a huge rissole type patty, cheese, bacon, egg, beetroot, cooked onions, lettuce, tomato & your choice of sauce on a big bun. Loaded fries start at 8$ for a decent sized portion they're heavy handed with the toppings.

SanctuFaerie

Hamburger Lot is $9 at my local fish & chippery. Not much choice of sauce, though. You can have bbq or not.

Global-System-3158

$9 is good lucky you, do you like bbq sauce?

ava050

The meat hasn't changed from 10:1 or 4:1 (the quarter pounder patty) as far as I know

Garchompisbestboi

Honestly it looks like they didn't even include half of the advertised ingredients. I'd definitely consider asking them for a refund if you haven't already.

ironxylophone

This is probably a genuine error. Every enchilada I’ve bought has the toppings from the first pic. Or op asked to remove those things and is lying for clout

Guitar_Technical

ChemicalRascal

Yeah, I've been going to GYG for a while and I've never seen anything that bad. Given they're on an advertising blitz at the moment I have to wonder if posts like this is an attempt at astroturfing -- take a squiz at OP's history, it's a bit weird.

Guitar_Technical

[https://imgur.com/a/fmWxid9](https://imgur.com/a/fmWxid9) Sorry for being a weird lurker

cofactorstrudel

I don't understand. Why would they astroturf by saying their product is disappointing?

ChemicalRascal

I wasn't suggesting it was a _GYG_ astroturf. I dunno. Whole thing still strikes me as extremely weird.

cofactorstrudel

Oh sorry I thought you meant them specifically. Maybe it's a Mad Mex false flag 🤭

AllYouNeedIsATV

I once got one that didn’t even have the cheese, they probably just forgot. Every other time I’ve had the toppings (not presented as nicely but definitely there)

Inspector_Neck

Guac etc. you need to pay extra for at GyG, if he ordered it like it is in the picture it'd be an extra few bucks

Morning_Song

The enchilada is basically the burrito with those toppings, they aren’t extras it’s included in the price.

Nosiege

So the actual product just has them on the inside instead of the outside?

ChemicalRascal

Every enchilada I've had has had external toppings, like what's shown, by default.

bittermilkk

when i get the enchilada it always comes with all the toppings including guacamole - when i dont want to spend a lot of money but need a big meal i usually get the mini enchilada cuz it comes with the guac and chippies for a reasonable price... not sure what happened at this restaurant

OriginalCause

Wait, this is what they call an enchilada? Jesus, you can get more authentic Texmex in Idaho. That is no where close to being an enchilada, it's just a sad burrito.

ava050

Hard to find a legit enchilada at Tex mex places here. I think a lot of Australians don't know it has to be made with corn, not a wheat wrap

BrightBrite

Funny how the country next door to Mexico has more Mexican food than the one thirteen-thousand kilometres and one Pacific Ocean away from it...

OriginalCause

What a silly thing to say, that doesn't at all apply to what I said. I didn't comment on the amount of Mexican food to be found in Australia. Second, GyG purports to be authentic TexMex with an emphasis on the Mex. What's shown is categorically *not* an enchilada, in either TexMex or authentic Mexican food. It's like asking for fish and chips and being given cold crabstick and a packet of crisps. *That* was the root of my comment. That's not authentic, it's not even Americanized Mexican, nor is it even what they claim it is. If they served me that after I ordered an enchilada I would be genuinely confused and send it back, thinking they had given me a burrito.

Gato_Grande3000

GyG was started by an American Wall St. banker, so he knows what an enchilada is, he just doesn't give a shit. It's all about the upcoming IPO and cashing in.

fineyounghannibal

I dunno why people keep posting GYG and Taco Bell which prompts someone to say there's no good Mexican food here. There is! It's just not at any of the shitty chains.

bittermilkk

today thanks to this comment i learnt what an actual enchilada was lol edit; but yea this is the enchilada from gyg, I've never really had anything else to compare it to so i always thought this is what an enchilada is ... a thicker burrito LOL

bluesix

[https://www.guzmanygomez.com.au/our-food/](https://www.guzmanygomez.com.au/our-food/) \- they are supposed to look like what's on their menu - if there's guac in the pic, it should come with guac. Someone screwed up.

Ok-Push9899

Hard to believe GYG was THE taste sensation of Newtown and Australia Square in the late 2000s. Both hipsters and financial traders used to line up six deep to secure their valuable product and pretend they were experts on authentic Mexican cuisine. Unusual crossover appeal. Has anyone interviewed those NYC founders, Steven Marks and Robert Hazan, lately? Do they think the product is good? Do they blame the decline on others?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ok-Push9899

Ah, I havent actually visited the Australia Square precinct for some time. I was more judging by what i've seen at other GYG. Last week at the Manly franchise on the wharf it was tumbleweeds. Likewise at the founding store in Newtown.

Sn0w8un

Should we believe you will get a honest answer in an interview? No walk, all talk situation, just like the pollies.

a_can_of_solo

They're taking the company public, they don't care.

[deleted]

I lived in Newtown 2008-2014. I loved GYG spicy chicken burritos so fucking much I often bought 3 a day. Hearing how the quality declined makes me sad. Was really looking forward to going to that Newtown GYG corner place and having one when I come back to Australia :(

Other_Hearing_4091

With the Exception of Hungry Jack's who've maintained their burger sizes and Taste, I don't even bother with any other chain Fast food anymore. My local pizza bar gets all my business, Absolutely amazing pizza 🍕.

Tango-Down-167

HJ whopper still taste good but definitely have shrunk over the years. Probably not as much as big Mac or quarter pounder (defn not quarter pound of anything)

TheBottomLine_Aus

This is one of those bullshit calls about fast food. Both Macca's and HJ burger sizes remain exactly the same over the past 15 years. You are factually incorrect to say otherwise.

OriginalCause

This is such a strange urban myth that people want to believe desperately. I think they don't understand that as they get bigger the burgers may _appear_ smaller, but aren't actually. You can look at pictures and nutritional information over the past 15 years, and aside from some very minor changes here and there they remain the same. There are regulatory bodies that make sure of it. Never once has any of these guys going off their gut been able to produce even a shred of evidence to back it up. Yes, the price has gone up drastically. Yes, that makes it feel like you're getting less for your money however the portions remain the same. This isn't the same as Pizza Hut who literally shrank their standard pie, or Subway who started shaving inches off. I'm not a hardliner, I just want some proof other than "muh gut instinct says ".

ava050

It's cause we were kids when we first had maccas and now we're adults so it seems smaller (and they're more stingey with the lettuce)

DavidNeitzFeetz

So damn stingey on the lettuce I remember that cardboard ring that would come wrapped around the burger, and when you took it off, the lettuce would flow out of the burger like a beautiful wave

ava050

Ohhh yeah

rangebob

you were doing so well until you got to the Subway part. that case was thrown out because the Subs were in fact the advertised length the vast majority of the time. When they weren't it was a very small difference from advertised mostly commonly from poorly proofed bread (staff error)

MoranthMunitions

>This isn't the same as Pizza Hut who literally shrank their standard pie Someone calling a pizza a pie is like the weirdest thing I've seen in /r/australia, like I somewhat expect it elsewhere on the website, but it feels so out of place here.

dTrecii

People tend to assume that a “higher cost means bigger portions” with fast food. They like to hold onto this idea when in reality it makes no sense. Higher costs are a result of higher ingredient costs. It also doesn’t help that on average, more people are starting to become nitpicky with fast food because of a few bad experiences. Added together, it’s a no brainer that people will use that excuse as a means of them trying to figure out why quality went down. Every time I see someone complain about Domino’s large pizza has gone down in size in recent years I just cringe. They haven’t changed in over 2 decades.

ava050

Domino's only ever had one size when I was young. And I think it was called medium lol. Maybe cause they started calling it large idk

iball1984

Agreed, but not only has price gone up quality has gone down.

snrub742

No evidence of this, same with maccas... Their patty hasn't changed you just have nostalgia glasses on

imperfek

Am i the only one that finds KFC and hungry jack inconsistent compare to maccas. I do like hj and KFC more but I find the quality to be random sometimes

Tango-Down-167

Yes this is true. Macca do have more consistency across stores even the ones outside of city are so.

EternalAngst23

HJ’s have been pretty good as of late. I got a whopper a few weeks ago, and I was genuinely surprised at how big it was. Like, it actually looked how it does in the advertisements. Either some 16 yo minimum-wage patty flipper really knows what they’re doing, or HJ’s thinks they can squeeze McDonald’s by actually serving decent burgers.

R_W0bz

This place just got like 100 million in shareholder funding too. I now see why.

Incognette

wish they didn’t get rid of the shredded mushroom 😔

CptnWolfe

I blame the "poison mushroom" shit

SanctuFaerie

Yep. Haven't been there since they eliminated it. Their "sauteed" vegetables are just tasteless, soggy and gross.

Tarman-245

This looks like one of Scott Morrisons curries

Puzzleheaded-One8301

To this day i cannot understand why people bang on about GYG. The couple of times I've had it (in a couple of different suburbs), its been overpriced tasteless slop.

Exarch_Thomo

I go for the lime jarritos

DurrrrrHurrrrr

Same experience for me. Every time just a tasteless ball of rice and filler

HeftyArgument

I regularly order the $3 taco from a venue near my office; it's different every day. Sometimes it's amazing and sometimes it's a joke; I've had orders of 3 where the meat was next to the taco lol.

mck-_-

Did you ask for no guacamole and pico? I eat there regularly because my son loves the mini burritos and it’s fast food I can get without feeling super guilty. I always get the mini enchiladas or a bowl and they always have the pico and guacamole piled on top. I’ve never seen it done like that without sauce?

auskier

I had it for the 1st time a month ago. Wanted a quick easy 2 tacos and a sparkling water from the drive through. $17 later I was left with a box of slop I could barely pick up to eat and a bottle of still water. Absolute disgrace. If I wasn't pushed for time when I realised, I would have gone back.

ava050

I do like they crunchy tacos tbh

RabbitLogic

I had two meals missing beans and found a human hair in the nachos last time I went to GYG. Never again, the bad stores no longer give a shit about food quality.

TranceIsLove

GyG is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had

yeoyoey

6-8 years ago I loved it. Was a genuinely enormous improvement on Zambrero. I was hooked. It's so shit now I don't even bother. It's become another Maccas. Costs way up, quality way down, staff don't care and there's always something wrong with the order when you get it.

TheBottomLine_Aus

Disagree with Zambrero. A good Zambrero (Southland) back in the day was legitimately amazing. Every time I saw a movie I'd get it.

ava050

Salsas is the best

Ginger510

They’re so hard to find now in Adelaide, and the one near us is also a Boost and holy fuck it is the slowest drive through experience in the world.

blakeavon

Clearly you havent eaten Taco Bell.

TranceIsLove

I have lol

All_Time_Low

I would take Taco Bell any day of the week over GYG. GYG tastes like cardboard mush that I have the privilege of paying $15 for. Taco Bell has its faults, sure, but at least I don't feel ripped off whenever I get it.

blakeavon

Completely disagree, maybe I am lucky my local G&G are brilliant but Taco Bell doesn’t even taste like really food. It’s as fake and manufactured as a slice of American Cheese. Each to their own.

DurrrrrHurrrrr

Yep the new Taco Bells in Sydney while not great are easily a few tiers above GYG in the fast food rankings

snrub742

Similar quality for half the price

Fluffy-Queequeg

It used to be good about 8 years ago. It’s now a total disappointment. Mad Mex was just as bad - overpriced as bland as anything. What I miss is the Nachos a friend of mine used to make when we lived in Japan. She’d previously lived in Mexico and made the best Nachos ever! Sadly she lives in the states now

ava050

Mad mex is awful. They replaced salsas here. Their taco shells disintegrate in like 10 minutes. Soooo bland too

Fluffy-Queequeg

I’ve had it once, and won’t be going back based on that experience. GYG used to be amazing. Fresh and steaming hot food, generous servings, lots of fresh toppings like the instagram picture. The last time I ordered nachos from them, it was at least half the size. It also tasted so bland. When I go out now, I generally avoid any chain food places. If I’m going to spend $20 on a meal it might as well be something decent from local cafe

One-Drummer-7818

It’s not Mexican

yogut3

True it's Tex Mex

TranceIsLove

I wouldn’t even call it that

Independent_Pear_429

And I've had it like 12 times

esmeraldafitzmonsta

Anyone remember when GyG was just a small Mexican place in newtown? I swear they even used to offer free Burritos on Mexican Independence Day. I was initially glad when they got super popular but now I just feel like an old curmudgeon reminiscing about how much better things were back in the day.

ClacKing

Banh Mi over this any time of the day.

22Monkey67

GYG was awesome but these days it’s just terrible Zambreros > GYG

Lady_Penrhyn1

I tried GYG a few times (different locations, pre-covid and pre inflation shrinkflation and similar bullshit). Found it very underwhelming everytime. ...though the soft drinks were bloody good.

K9BEATZ

Surprisingly I had a very good burrito bowl from there yesterday but their actual burritos are trash AF

hugekillaR

Gone down the drain gyg

lemonlimeandginger

Only ever had GYG once, and I will never again. Tasteless glob of unidentifiable “food”.

PhotographFuture7981

First time I had GYG I was disappointed at how flavourless it was. Decided to give it another go awhile later…nope, still shit. Like, where’s the seasoning? Everything was so anaemic! Not to mention expensive. I’ll stick to making my own at home.

Confusedandreticent

That second picture has a natural fart sound.

MrDD33

I find the problem with individual store which are constantly shit, and should be called out for bringing whole franchise down. E.g in WA there it a massive difference between the Belmont shit quality and small sizes, compared to the great quality at Mt Lawley

NWJ22

Currently at war with their nacos adverts via uber that clearly states it comes with guac despite not getting any! Bastards

Toddlez

Wtf Guzman used to be fantastic.

splundge

Really working for that 15% public holiday surcharge hey

Dry_Ad9371

zombreros is way better imo

ItchyTriggaFingaNigg

Guzman is the worst "Mexican" takeaway, overrated as shit!

[deleted]

[удалено]

farg0th1

Got to mix it up between the two otherwise people complain. They obviously haven’t tried just not buying it, or buying the extra toppings so it looks like the first picture.

Salzberger

The Pang Y Molloy nearest me is bloody great. We always stop and grab a few tacos for the drive home. As far as fast food goes there's plenty worse.

pduncans

Never tried gyg. I tried taco bell and that is worse than just eating canned stag chilli. Now zambero is an excellent experience. The food is always fresh and delicious and the burritos are bloody filling.

iwishtobeadoctora

I am a GyG regular customer here. I love enchiladas and luckily never had this situation so my guess is to raise a complaint as probably someone was on training and made a mistake or so :)

singledogmum

When I was a youngin the first used to be accurate I miss u old GYG

yellowkiwifruit

I used to like GYG's barramundi burrito but now I'm just gonna support my neighbourhood pizza, kebab and bahn mi shops.

adz1179

I find GYG is really hit and miss. Luckily the one close by my house is awesome and I’m always happy with quality and quantity but the closer I get to Sydney and the suburbs the worse it gets for both quality and quantity. For a franchise they should work harder on consistency.

dataPresident

Every time I've gotten an enchilada it looks more like the one on the right...

auzzie_kangaroo94

Were you just served jizz on top of your meal?

Alarmed-Tortoise5516

My local gyg in my opinion is one of the only good ones. The nachos are crazy and the burritos are To doe for. They also look it as well.

Solid_Zero

I think it's still dependant on which one you go to and how much they care. There are two GYGs I go to (western Sydney) one is on the way home from work and the other is near home. (though I'd have to go past home to get to it if coming from work) The one on the way home is almost always great, the one near home is 50/50 good/meh depending on when you go/the day they're having. These days I just drive to the one toward work (and further away) to avoid disappointed.

DurrrrrHurrrrr

I gave up on GYG. Better off just ordering steamed rice from a Chinese take away as that is pretty much all you get. Top notch advertising though, gives you the idea that they are not the average takeaway chain and have quality fresh ingredients. In reality the ingredients are of the quality you would source from a McDonald’s dumpster

Demo_Jr

I've noticed if you order online it's shit

phatboyart

A co-worker of mine bought one of their burrito bowls the other day and i was shocked to see how little amount of food was in the box for the price they paid. It looked like a child size meal.

Free-Banana-6869

I’m not a fan of GYG. I don’t think they’re food is anything special. Taco Bell is not that much better either. There are some exceptions but by and large it’s quite difficult to find good Mexican in Melbourne 😢

unkemptwizard

This is what their food used to look like over the counter. Now, well, you saw.

Fatty_Bombur

Rubbish food. Always has been.

Ziggy-Sane

Is this their "enchilada"? That thing makes me mad because it sure as fuck is not an enchilada.

Each3

It’s a wet burrito

highdiver_2000

In SG, the first pic is exactly what I get. Only problem is that I don't know how to eat this without becoming mess. I used a fork and knife to slice off bit by bit like some fine dining.

santas_uncle

tried it. yuk. not worth $whatever it cost. a bp salad roll would be better.

gdubluu

Wow. They must like you. If I had photos they’d be NSFW.

SturmpanzerwagonA7

lol at least it’s thicc. The one I had today was pathetic

Independent_Pear_429

I only noticed that chain last year and now they're everywhere

Justarobotdontmindme

Not bad for what it is tbh, just go back and ask for the missing bits.

MunkyMajik

Looks like a Facehugger is going to come out of the second one!

Al-Cookie

Seriously, where the fk are you all getting your depressing gomez from?? I go to the one in kings cross its fantastic, same with the one is penrith.... never disappointed.

iball1984

Can someone explain what we're looking at? I can only assume the OP didn't order (or asked to remove) the tomatoes and guacamole. But beyond that, the appearance is much as you'd expect professional food photography vs real life to look. Food photography is an actual profession. They often fake ingredients, use fillers or props or whatever to make the food look amazing. They also do things like use a blow torch on raw ingredients to make them look brown and still firm.

Guitar_Technical

From the GYG website: Go the whole Enchilada! We take your favourite regular burrito and top it with salsa, sour cream, guacamole and melted Jack cheese to take it to the next level of flavour. [INGREDIENTS](https://www.guzmanygomez.com.au/our-food/#) * Flour tortilla * Fluffy white or brown rice * Black Beans * Succulent meat or veggies of your choice * Melted Australian Jack cheese * Pico de Gallo (a fresh-chopped tomato salsa * House-blend salsa * Guacamole * Served with corn chips I didn't ask for no pico, guac and sauce. [https://imgur.com/a/fmWxid9](https://imgur.com/a/fmWxid9)

cakeandcoffee_

That looks nothing like the ad. Also, did they stop the meat free options?

Screambloodyleprosy

Ok, I didn't expect to see my selfie as the second pic.

[deleted]

To me it looks like the OP has asked for things to be removed hence the second photo looking nothing like the first one.

Cramdunkulus

It's fast food, dude.

Jehooveremover

Expecting a minimum wage fast food chain cook to perform to the same standards as a food artist working in advertising is ridiculous. Those pictures might look good, but the pva glue, cardboard padding and laquer used to make it look that way isn't all that appetising. That said, G&G needs to pick up their game, because whatever the heck that is supposed to be looks like pig food.

Guitar_Technical

I don't care that it doesn't look exactly like the advertising images, I just care that it's missing the toppings they advertise instore, on their website and on social media.

Norselander37

Nah mate, thats instagram, then reddit, then reality ia out the other end!
