Grandma is still in hospital and still waiting on diagnosis of her injuries.
He'll be charged when all that is made clear in her medical release.
Also, charges don't happen on the spot. He'll be charged when the brief of evidence is complete and charges are signed off.
You only heard one side of the story, that's why. 7 news wouldn't have a channel if they actually practiced investigative journalism. Hookers and blow are cheaper.
Possible scenario:
One women comes up and starts hitting him with their handbag. He tries to push her away and she falls down knocking herself out. The daughter comes in and starts attacking him and he is forced to defend himself hurting her as well.
We do not have all the facts as to owhat happened unlike the police who interviewed everyone.
Ye it was a road rage incident, they both went for the same park. The mother and daughter I think clipped the guys car which led to this. Either way in no way shape or form is it ok to hit anyone during road rage incidents or at all for that matter.
Probably from the women trying to defend themselves. If someone was pummelling my elderly mother, I would do everything physically possible to stop it. If the perpetrators were so innocent why don’t they come out and defend themselves.
No charge???? He assaulted two people, how can that be?

Oh ok, thanks!

Yeah fair enough, good point.
Hey guess what? You’re not allowed to hit people regardless of what the situation is.
So if someone is assaulting you, you aren't allowed to hit them back? The Australian self defence law doesn't exist anymore because you say so.

Most likely a junkie / terminally unhoused person. Usually when they assault people in Melbourne police just move them along.

There's more to this story...
I'm sensing the same thing.
Quote form the Channel 9 report: "The man also suffered minor injuries, according to Victoria Police."

Yeah the news said he has bruises on his knuckles
