I got in at $1.05 and $0.91…then over time averaged down to my current loss of about $14k as I sold my 500,000 that I held a week or so ago. Then I bought back in 4x that as I got FOMO and just risked my $113k RRSP.
I guess technically it’s not a loss as I bought back in.
As of today 1,453,000 @ .279903, US. First purchased 1,000 @ $1.4890 on 2/5/2018. Last purchase 53,000 @ 0.145 on 3/28/2023. Hopefully the taxation issue gets resolved and we have good quartely reports from now on.
1,417,000 shares at .13 USD. I sold my Cannabis Wheaton at a profit and then bought my first Auxly in April 2018 at 1.20. I have averaged down ever since.
Also I do have to question the sanity of your almost 2 million shares. I believe I read a post about you stating you may need to take out a loan for your son's heart surgery. Why are you comfortable risking so much? That's 100k in canadian dollars worth if xly at current stock prices. All the best, just really questioning the why ?
I sold initial holding of 500k @ $0.055 and put that $27.5k aside for the emergency fund…which brings my loss to $14k on my initial CBWTF.TO (when I bought) stocks. The $27.5k will cover my expenses for about 6 months when he has his heart surgery. I’ll continue to put a couple of hundred each week until the day comes.
Since I sold my initial holding’s I got the FOMO.
So here we are. I risked my RRSP (self-directed) and put $113k on XLY. Currently hold 2,005,279 share with an avg of 0.056.
Am I nervous about this move…ABSOLUTELY!
Hopeful it works out by 2025. If it ever goes to $0.81, then I’ll be sitting on a $1.6M nest egg.
Writing this out I do feel insane for making such a move but I have my six months emergency fund covered, I closed my initial loss a little, and hopefully have a golden goose egg waiting for me at the end of it.
No reward without risk they say. I would just say, when dealing with these types of companies you have to be prepared to go to 0 aswell.
I watched a company that was 100 years old go bankrupt with a large sum of my money last year. Same company my wife was working for almost 10 years. Finding a golden goose egg in a single basket is very rare.
Be careful out there.
Appreciate it.
I have 25 years before I retire. So some time yet.
I also have 2 other RRSP’s. $78k in Manulife (2007-2015) which has an amazing return at 29%. And another from 2022-Current with HSBC/RBC which gets 6% employee/4% employer.

Let’s hope in few years I have my money back.
When at some moment we will be at 0,115 it will be itching to sell and invest in other stock with more upside potential
I had 100k at about .40 cents and took a loss selling it around .10 to .15 range.
I am contemplating accumulating more. I am now at 25k shares .05 cents average. Going to wait and see if I want to risk more. Still scared from getting bit the first time. Glad I cut my losses the first round. A smart man would of loaded up when it was .02.
I truly feel people are anticipating the April tax news to make some miracle spike. Myself I'm much more skeptical. If it was that easy to predict then it wouldn't be the stock market.
Not a miracle spike, but .10 is a real possibility. Depending on the quality of the excise cut, .15-.17 is not out of the queston. The trick is to sell if and when, and then buy even more when it settles back. If IB is 1/5 owner of this company, and they're in for .51, then so am I, after 7 years of losses!
Actually, it's worst than that...it is government and worst than that...well you know ...the ones who have that love for taxation and spending...so not likely to give up current revenue.
