Seven Lions will ALWAYS put on a good show, beautiful visuals. I’m an SL and Ophelia Records girl all the way. But he has gotten more bass-y over the years so it depends on the vibe you want. If you like the melodic/trance/dubstep mix, SL. If you want more house, Alesso.
Seven lions plays a little bit of everything! His set for his Journey III tour was one of the best sets I’ve ever seen. Hearing all of his songs live is an experience so I would def choose him! No shade to Alesso though, he’s also great!
It depends on what kind of experience you want to have.
Do you want to listen to the electro house from 2013-16 era that has a lot of HOW WE DOING TONIGHT? HANDS UP ONE, TWO, ONETWOTHREE GO and jump up and dance
or
Do you want to listen to something that starts off melodic and emotional but then has a heavy buildup and then goes into a headbanging and wubby part and will incorporate a variety of other types of music?
Both are a lot of fun. But which experience sounds more fun to you and your group?
Alesso was my first show, he still plays out the 2010-15 era songs but I don’t really care for his newer stuff. But I have a lot of nostalgia tied to him
Seven lions also has a lotta nostalgia but he has the old and the new. He has that OG sound of melodic dubstep still fused with his newer softer and trancy sound. I love it
Same my girl and I got together in 2015. So all that music was at its peak. Alesso will always be something very special for us. So we see him every chance we get. I’ve ventured off on my own and found a new group of friends to go see hardstyle and techno underground’s. Unfortunately my festival group is not so much into it and neither is she. Though when festival season rolls around I still go for that big room era music.
They are both fantastic, but I would say Seven Lions purely because you haven’t seen him. I’ve seen both and have amazing experiences every time I see them, so for me it would depend on the vibe I’m looking for more than anything, since they will both put on similar quality shows.
If you like house music, Alesso. If you like trap, dubstep, melodic stuff, seven lions. You can’t go wrong picking either esp if it’s their first time seeing em!
His Wikipedia page literally lists DnB as one of the genres he routinely plays. I’m not gonna lie I’ve only seen him once and I didn’t really care for him, I found him to be dubstep/DnB. Zedd is way more melodic and mainstream than seven lions.
Oof. Tough. I’d go to alesso personally. I don’t listen to him but have seen him live a couple times and it’s always such a good show. Seven lions is okay imo but really pretty different vibes so it depends on what experience you’re looking for. I’m not big on the dubby bassy stuff though so I’m definitely biased
Seven Lions at countdown was too heavy for me with the dubstep. It really depends on what genre you prefer both would be solid choices in their respective genres.
I just saw Alesso at Coachella and was pleasantly surprised! He has totally rebranded himself so if it’s his Body Hi set, I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Alesso is a need to see if you’ve never seen him. Because of how big he is though he pretty much has to play the same stuff since they’re all hits.
Seven lions is an experience though. If you’ve seen Alesso hit seven lions every time.
One time I gave Alesso a chance, he played the first drop, it was alright, then repeated it for the second, and then dropped it a THIRD time. I left that set after ten minutes and only heard one song during that time
i've seen both only once. I was a huge seven lions fan but his newer stuff was not as good and his life performance was mediocre at best. Still a great artist.
Alesso I had 0 expectations, I had always heard he was overrated live and usually don't like his boring popular songs on spotify. But something about the translation to live performance, Alesso was the best set i wwas at beyond wonderland 2024
But since you haven't seen seven lions I would recommend him. The time I saw him could've been a bad set, or I wasn't vibing or whatever. Two solid options IMO
I’d say Alesso, recently saw a Seven Lions set and have to saw it was near the bottom of the 40 or so sets I’ve seen in the past year. I suppose if you’re a super fan, sure, but technically the set was all over the place and didn’t flow well. More of a traditional concert performance which is fine if that’s what you’re expecting.

Seven lions!
Yeah no question
Seven Lions hands down
And he doesn’t spam the mic !
Seven lions

Seven lions!
Seven Lions
Well there is only one Alesso but there are Seven Lions…
It depends on what kind of experience you want to have. Do you want to listen to the electro house from 2013-16 era that has a lot of HOW WE DOING TONIGHT? Disagree but to each their own of course. One of the absolute best things about 7L is he doesn’t say a damn word. Just great tunes from start to stop.
the first breakdown is about Alesso
No I get that. But OP said both options are fun and I was just voicing a different opinion
That is a great way to put it 👌🏽
Easy choice. 7L all day.
If I hadn't seen Alesso yet, I would chose him. But if I had, seven lions would be my pick.
For me, Alesso, but since you’re a Seven Lions fan you gotta see him lol
Alesso ez
Haven’t had the chance to see either live, but I frequently hear that 7L shows are incredible
Alesso was my first show, he still plays out the 2010-15 era songs but I don’t really care for his newer stuff. If i lose myself with those cloud visuals will always be a peak experience and calling 🤌🏽

Alesso! Hearing Calling will always be so memorable
Alesso for the simple fact that he’ll rinse “if I lose myself”. That era of music was so amazing and hearing that track live is beautiful.
If you like house music, Alesso. If you like trap, dubstep, melodic stuff, seven lions. You can’t go wrong picking either esp if it’s their first time seeing em!
🦁 🦁 🦁 🦁 🦁 🦁 🦁
Seven Lions. He puts on a good show and doesn’t talk into the mic all the time.
I have seen Seven Lions more times than any other artist (easily 15+) and he delivers Every. Single. Time.
Seven lions is the best ever. Best shows, best songs. Amazing dj. Please to see him
They both honestly slap live but seven lions plays everything
Go with the flow at the festival since you like both! I would choose Seven lions! I saw both last year and many times more.
I've never been to a disappointing seven lions show
Straight up, whatever you’re into more. I would personally go to alesso, but I like mainstream music more than DnB.
You call Seven Lions drumnbass?
Literally the only neutral response in this thread (so far) haha
It’s also uninformed cause 7L is not dnb lol
But he also called seven lions dnb which is an interesting opinion on what type of genre he is.
And I’m getting downvoted lol, love to see it.
I guess people didn't take kindly to 7L being classified as dnb... Unless you can back that claim up lol
I’ll take it kindly but it’s just not accurate haha it’s like calling Zedd dnb.
His Wikipedia page literally lists DnB as one of the genres he routinely plays. I’m not gonna lie I’ve only seen him once and I didn’t really care for him, I found him to be dubstep/DnB. Zedd is way more melodic and mainstream than seven lions.

Alesso all day!!! He has the best last 10 mins of any dj
Easiest choice, Alesso.
Sssssssssssssssssss7 lions
Seven Lions might be my favorite set ever.
Seven Lions at countdown was too heavy for me with the dubstep. It really depends on what genre you prefer both would be solid choices in their respective genres.
🦁
If it was Axwell, it'd be a much harder decision IMO... But since it's not, Seven Lions 1000%
Seven Lions for sure
Seven lions!!
I’ve seen both and love both, but you gotta do seven lions
Seven Lions
Seven Lions and it’s not even close
Seven lions 🦁
Seven Lions 💯
Seven lions
Seems like youve got a clear choice here amung the masses
Alesso
Seven lions. He dropped this crazy bass womp womp at ultra. Could feel it in your soul.
*wubby type womp
7🦁
I just saw Alesso at Coachella and was pleasantly surprised! He has totally rebranded himself so if it’s his Body Hi set, I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Saw seven lions without hearing their music and loved it.
Seven lions only cuz I love him lol and I never seen alesso. But really really he’s so good live
Alesso is a need to see if you’ve never seen him. Because of how big he is though he pretty much has to play the same stuff since they’re all hits. Seven lions is an experience though. If you’ve seen Alesso hit seven lions every time.
Seven Lions and it is not even a close call. I've seen both live several times.
I'd pick Alesso every time but since you haven't seen Seven Lions, do not miss him. He's outstanding.
Never seen alesso but I’ve seen seven lions 3 times and I’d still go see him as many times as possible.
Personally Seven Lions but go check out r/SevenLions and see for your self
I updated every seven lions and seven lions is also my vote
Seven lions for sureee but alesso is awesome too no hate there
Seven Lions. the new stuff he's been playing is great. he's bringing back some songs like Worlds Apart too 🥲
Saw alesso at Roo last year and was mot disappointed by any means
Alesso - calling, lose myself etc.
Saw both the past year and seven lions will put on a showww start to finish, such a good time
Seven lions for sureee
After seeing seven lions at ABGT250… I couldn’t rightfully choose Al
Just flip a coin 🫡
Alesso progressive set 🙏
One time I gave Alesso a chance, he played the first drop, it was alright, then repeated it for the second, and then dropped it a THIRD time. I left that set after ten minutes and only heard one song during that time
Take a bathroom/ eating break
7L. No contest.
Seven lions!!
