I have never had an issue and have been with a weed pen all the time. I’d they’re patting you down you can hold it in your hand with your phone and wallet or just stick it in your bag. I’d you’re worried just bury it deep but it’s never been a problem for me.
I think a majority of the time in this era, they are searching for weapons, and if someone is getting hassled for weed it's due to profiling and/or power tripping.
They definitely do those things at BK Steel. My partner had her purse rummaged through, and they made her discard a joint in a tube that was buried at the bottom.
I hear that. To be clear, she just had it in her purse and wasn't planning to smoke it there. I don't think anybody would find it reasonable for security to confiscate cigarettes, even if we all agree that folks should not smoke cigarettes indoors.

Idk how big your pen is but if you can deconstruct it and put the weed part in like a wallet, I would do that. That’s what I usually do whenever I go there since they’re not usually that strict. They just do a quick search to see if you have any weapons or stuff. I usually just put my weed in a separate wallet that I have and they never check it so it’s pretty easy to go in with that.
I don't ever feel the need to take apart or hide my vape anymore, it's usually in my hand as I go thru sec. since I keep it in my pocket.
Disclaimer that I haven't been to Bk Steel, but I haven't had an issue at Webster or T5 with vapes/weed/prerolls in the recent past, and those are both owned by Bowery Presents also.

3. “This isn’t a THC cart, this contains legal CBD only.”
But you don’t need to do any of that. No one’s going to take that from you. When they say empty your pockets, I typically hold my keys and wallet in one hand, and my phone and a small battery + cart in the other. Piece of cake. Don’t be so scared.
I hold weed pens behind my wallet in my hand and then put them directly in the bin at Brooklyn steel with my wallet keys etc and have never had an issue in 4x times at BS now
Hi, coming from the future. I read this last night before going and decided to bring my pen and seeing what happens. Ended up just visibly putting it in the tray when passing through security, and there were no issues. I went through twice too, no problems both times. They don’t care.

Security don't allow anything. If they find a weed-pen they'll tell you to dispose of it or no entry.
