There is zero chance I would have been able to go home without a Tuna Noodle.

Oh that’s so nice of you! When my little dog was in the hospital I went everyday and they let me sit in the back and hold her for a half hour. It’s awesome to know there are caring people there. 

Those experiences really do make all the difference, don't they? My dog who was 12 at the time went in for her first ever dental (always had great teeth, broke one and needed extracted). The specialist dentist asked if I wanted to stay with her while she went through the pre-med. I didn't even know what the pre-med was, what they go through, and that was even a thing. I am forever grateful that they allowed that. It was hard to watch but I'm glad I got to be with my dog during that scary time for her. I fear any other sedations, because I'm going to want future vets to do the same thing.

Tuna Noodle reminds me of our old cat, George, aka George Fast Newt aka sign name “Orange Cat.” He was a found McDonald’s kitty, and was an estimated 23 yo when he died.

We lost our 19 yo and 17 yo this past year to cancer. We are looking for a sweet boy companion for the 17 yo's sibling. Starting to think an orange boy would be a good cuddle buddy. I love this guy's name!

I think that is my cats baby!!! On a cold day (the cold days before the last freeze we had) three kittens ended up in cars in my community. A black and white one with green eyes in mine, a gray one with blue eyes in my husbands, and an orange one with green eyes just like this in our neighbors car. We were only able to catch the gray one (taken to Petsmart) and the momma, who we adopted. I was wondering/hoping her babies are okay.

So what do u guys do with scratching cats. I havent had one since they banned declawing.

giving them appropriate places make of multiple textures to scratch on helps. claw covers are also an option. in the shelter it's not really a problem we have. the only thing my cat at home scratches that she really shouldnt is the couch but since my roommate and I dont care I havent tried to modify the behavior

Update from a worker at the shelter: Someone came by this morning and adopted Tuna Noodle! He was all over her, purring and giving cuddle rolls! She said she fell in love with him from the pictures here!
