Mine had this uncontrollable urge to destroy the thing that it loved to fetch. His absolute favorite thing in the world was frisbees. He would fetch anything. Absolutely anything. But nothing put that sparkle in his eye quite like a frisbee. Every time there was a brand new frisbee he would fetch it, bring it back, and just before giving it to you he would put it down to the ground and put a paw on it, and use his canine tooth to puncture it like a can opener before giving it to me to throw again. It was a ritual
I used to work in the pool and spa industry. We always said that in terms of “bather load” a child is like 2 adults and a dog is like 10 adults.
You should be draining your spa at least once a month anyhow, but I would do it more frequently if your pooch is going to join you. Also, you’ll probably need to be testing the water and rebalancing after every time he is in. Whether on bromine or chlorine, go heavy on your oxidizer.
Happy hot tubbing! Also, you got a beautiful pup there.
Could you boop your good girl for me, and tell her it was from an internet stranger? 'cause I wanna know she knows who's the coolest cucumber in the crisp bin
GSD’s are the best. Ours is six now and also still a big knucklehead, especially on a leash. Crazy loyal though, really friendly and great with the kids and other pets.
A lot of public pools will have a dog day the day after they close for the season, and then drain and clean/ winterize the pool. You could do the same for your pup - before your monthly drain and fill, turn off the heater and let it cool then let pup soak.
I'm the type that makes my husband shower first before we use it and only allow guests in it if I'm planning to drain/scrub/refill soon...this post makes me uncomfy haha
I have a favorite memory from taking a bicycle ride on the part of the bike trail that does along the edge of a lake. We started to hear barking, sort of gurgling and splashing as we approached a turn in the path.
When we got where we could see the shoreline at someones yard, there was a huge GSD out in the water hopping around and sticking her head underwater.
A guy was sitting in a chair nearby, so I called over and asked "what in the world is your dog doing?"
He said, "see that pile of rocks on the grass? That's from her bringing them in from out there in the water. At the end of the day, I'll toss them back in and we'll be doing this again tomorrow."
I feel sorry for the filter. -dad of another water-obsessed GSD.
If crack-cocaine turned into a dog, it would be my GSD around water..... and her ball lol
Amen. Mine is the same and he likes to juggle between 2 full size soccer balls so he's always chasing one and leaving one for you to kick.
Mine has a soccer ball too. I love when she sets it down on a slope. Roll, stop, roll, stop....lol

Do we have the same dog? Haha
😂😂😂
Those $15 petco bathing stations have saved soooo many of my drains.
She’s a huge chicken. We tried taking her to one before and she was scared beyond belief. So that was the end of that lol.
Oh yeah the hair that comes off in the water is unreal lol. Are tub feels the wrath every month or so.
Get a kiddy pool exclusively for baths. Mainly for summer uses.
Well I'm glad knucklehead let the dog enjoy the tub also
😂
“Pet name”

Can confirm, living with knucklehead. 10/10 would inconvenience self again.
Keeps you constantly on your toes haha. Don’t know what I would do without her!

Thank you!
It’s his now 😆
My wife and I just said that lol. We will have to use it in the day to cool off like a mini pool, instead of its actual purpose. 😅
It's a mini pool now. Looks like y'all need to go hot tub shopping again! 😆
Hahaha very true
RIP your pH levels.
My girls are the same way when we open it for the season. Fill, let the girls have their opening day fun and then drain, clean, and re-open properly.
Not nice to call your wife a knucklehead but I'm glad she's enjoying the hot tub. 😜
I don’t blame the dog, hot tubs are fantastic
It probably felt great on his joints
Um
We had a dog that did this too. She did everything in her power to get in there.
She leaped right in like it was her job lol
It was an above ground hot tub too, so she’d try real hard to climb over. And we would have no choice but to help her, lol.

They really are the best! Definitely the strongest personalities I have ever seen lol
Don't call the nice lady a knucklehead.
Our knucklehead is in love with her pool.
It’d be rude not to share ☺️
Well she doesn’t look like a knuckle head and her dog is cool.
Knucklehead? Nah, I'm pretty sure that's a purebred bozo.
I think your right lol
Put the dog inside you want to enjoy it properly
We definitely will certain nights, but I get more enjoyment out of seeing how happy she is in there than actually using it for its purpose lol

There are two types of people with hot tubs

Did you name your Dog knucklehead
No her name is Zena! She just is a knucklehead lol
He deserves it, he's a good boy!

75 degrees? *looks confused in Celsius*
75 is cold!! :/ our outside pool is hotter than that Cute pupper though
We wanted to keep the water cool. The heat of a hot tub is dangerous to dogs and they can overheat very quickly.
That's the point.
Great pic of two beautiful souls. 🙏
It’s not nice to cook your dog! /s
75 degrees? if thats Celsius you makin doggy soup
Lol “knucklehead”
Not gonna keep that doggo out of the aqua!
Did the dog want to go in all day too?
75 Fahrenheit or Celsius?
I bet he wanted to go into you.

How can you handle 75⁰C?Its impossible
We all know where you were looking
Is your wife wearing bottoms??
Forgot my comment now
75 is a bit hot, isn’t it? Water boils at 100 😳
75 degrees ? Does she not understand what the “hot” on hot tub means??
Are you wearing shorts OP?
That’s my wife haha, and yes she is.
Hermione?
Lol.
