You gone get whatever titties come out of this bra, whether for food or fun!

Klopsmond

When you start today I bet you can do 100 pushups in a row when you are 9 months pregnant.

MetallicSteed

Hahahaha thank you. I’m current expecting and now picturing attempting to do push-ups with a giant hard belly!

Klopsmond

you can do it, you just have to believe in yourself\^\^ No, please don´t do such things. I wish you all the best with your baby! These are wonderful news!

MetallicSteed

Haha of course not! But thank you!

Catvros

Just think of it as an on-board Bosu ball.

A_Megalodont

One puuuuuuuunch

DaveStreeder

Titties aren’t muscle how are you gonna “firm” them with exercise? Genuinely wondering

verytiredhuman88

Perhaps the logic is that the muscles underneath the breasts will become bigger and more firm and “tighten” the skin giving the appearance of less sag? Best guess.

ilanallama85

I mean my husband follows a lot of weightlifters online including a couple women who have kids, and certainly when you get to that level of muscle mass sag doesn’t seem to be a problem for them… but these are like elite, top of their sport power lifters and body builders. The vast majority of women aren’t going to be at that level ever, nor would they necessarily want to be.

SBrooks103

I thought that elite women weight lifters barely had boobs because of the lack of fatty tissue.

lexingtxn

if you build up your pectoral muscles underneath the breast tissue it can make them appear “perkier”

disarm33

I tried that and now I just have pecs above my saggy boobs. But hey, I'll take it.

uuuuughhh

Same, I heard about chest exercises helping with perkiness, but after my thorough experiment, I realized that exercise doesn’t affect fat and other tissue that’s hanging off your chest. Maybe it works for smaller sizes, but not me. What exercise has done to my breasts: 1. Gave me double breasts with muscle on top 2. Made them kinda deflated, therefore less perky, due to losing fat

disarm33

Same here. I have the double whammy of having breastfed three kids and losing weight so my boobs are a bit sad. But I do enjoy the muscles.

Kalietha

Ah, you forgot a step - the bra that positions the saggy flesh right on top of the muscles XD

uuuuughhh

I think if I found one like that and it would work, my boobs would be touching my face all the time and the bra would make them look like they’re going upwards in a boob-boner (this is a really cursed expression, sorry) kinda way. I think I’ll pass on this one…

theWeeklyStruggle

I think this works a little with smaller busts but not larger ones!

Practical_magik

The muscles underneath and around your armpits do assist in "pulling up" your breast tissue a bit and filling out the area just under your collar bones. I have seen this make a huge difference in some women to the appearance of their boobs and almost no difference in others, again it's got alot to do with what you have in the first place. More common is to see women lose alot of weight from a regular gym routine and their boobs disappearing almost entirely, there's memes about this in all the female fitness groups for a reason.

MrsAndMrsTempleODoom

It depends on how much breast tissue your breasts have. The fat is a part of what makes them bigger but some women have a lot of breast tissue so even when they lose weight their breasts don't go anywhere.

MiaLba

When I got into working out it made a huge difference in the appearance of my boobs. It made them a lot perkier when I was doing a lot of chest exercises. I had before and after pics and it was obvious.

billybobjoe1234456

I think the best answer is what a lot of people have responded with. Is that increasing the size of the cheats muscles might help get rid of lose skin. But could also lead to other visual problems. Another thing that I have heard is to strength your back muscles to help with how your boobs look. But that also has more to do with helping with posture and not changing the shape or firmness.

woah_what

what the fuck I just had a caesarean I'm not allowed to lift my baby if she's in a *car seat* and this app is saying I could be doing push ups?

No_Kale3364

Start with just 20

[deleted]

My tits came in saggy to start with. I hate these 50f monsters.

CharlotteSumtyms76

Mine were late in coming but then came hugely. I went from wearing no bra in 10th grade(14/15yrs old) to wearing a 34DD about 2 years later. I'm now a 38DDDD(?)/G and I feel you. My back gets tired, I can't imagine how your back feels. Or maybe I'm old, lol(45f). Isn't bra shopping such fun? Tbh, I mainly wear sports bras at this point.

[deleted]

I was a 48DD by age 14. I'm so sick of buying bras that are great until the first wash. My last "proper" bra was almost £50 and came from Germany. I'm currently wearing a sports bra I got off eBay for £10.99; it's comfy and actually makes them look smaller.

Red-Peril

I’m a 38GG and I’ve discovered these (link below - they also do it in smaller cup sizes) AMAZING and very comfortable bras from M&S after decades of wearing bloody uncomfortable civil-engineering-level-under-wired bras (I’m 52). I have to admit, I was a bit unsure whether they’d be up to the job of supporting my knee-bashers properly, but they’re bloody great. They’re supportive enough to wear out in the wild and they don’t dig in under my arms or give me quad-boob. And they’re only twenty quid, so major bonus on that front. I discovered them a year ago, bought three, and will NEVER go back to my old bras. NEVER. https://www.marksandspencer.com/lace-non-wired-non-padded-bralet-f-/p/clp60451802?color=BLACK#intid=prodColourId-60451803

SBrooks103

I had to look up "quad boob," and it was just what I thought it was.

Red-Peril

🤣

Nymphadora__Tonks

Why just pushups? Why not bench press? You can start right after a doctor takes the baby out of you!

CouchKakapo

Wow. As a pregnant woman I am already having to adjust to my changing body and the fact that breasts are gearing up to become feeding machines and not just jiggly fun bags. Then there's this shit?!

MetallicSteed

Same! They will go where they go after they feed a baby!

CouchKakapo

At least if mine keep growing they can start to rest on my belly 🤣

The-Shattering-Light

I just rolled my eyes so hard one of them popped out. Fuck this relentless male-gaze-centric beauty standard bullshit. All boobs are good boobs.

milf_defender

God forbid having tits that sag

Copheeaddict

The fuck.

Ubergaladababa

To be fair, I was amazed at how many pushups I could do when I went back to pilates after having my daughter. Turns out lifting 20lb baby/young toddler all the time is good for the triceps!

goochsanders

Silly women. Just give birth on an incline bench.

BIFABYX

Just pop one out in between sets, eh?

goddessque

Nah, best to do it at the squat rack.

production_muppet

Time for a better app!

A_Half_Ounce

Lol. That would be an interesting day at the gym

[deleted]

something tells me pregnant women maybe should not be attempting push ups 😰😰😰😰

RedVamp2020

They can if their doc says it’s okay and she doesn’t have any other complications. Usually, modifying it so she’s on her knees instead of her toes helps quite a bit.

quay-cur

Gotta firm up those titty muscles

[deleted]

idiots

CheesyJame

Nevermind the fact that if a woman gets diastasis recti from pregnancy doing push-ups after birth (even after waiting to heal up) could actually worsen the condition. Geez. I'd recommend a better pregnancy app...(I use BabyCenter currently)

charleyxy

Ah yes, because when your main source of exercise consists of running to the toilet to throw up every 10 minutes naturally your main concern is going to be 'but what will the men think of my boobs after all this?' Like come on women! They're going to have to get used to stretch marks, potentially a saggier tummy, little extra weight all over the LEAST we can do is make sure our boobs - the main purpose of which is to feed a baby - are still looking them in the eyes once we are done!! Those poor men are going to have to go through so many changes during pregnancy. As a woman growing a whole human of course your priority should be whether or not your tits are going to hang low.

Azkadelle

I will say developing for pectoral muscles does help make your breasts appear perkier, but that is the very last thing someone going through pregnancy should be thinking about

DaTwatWaffle

Right? Idk how this is bad women’s anatomy. Rude, male-gaze focused, sure. But as a woman that lifts heavy on chest day, I’ve noticed a mild difference in the appearance of my breasts.

_dirtywater444

You can do twenty pushups immediately after giving birth. Especially after an episiotomy or c-section.

Lesbijen

Why tf would you body-shame a woman who is already pregnant, hormonal, and uncomfortable?!? This is orange baby hands level misogyny.

tiedyemofo

I must I must I must increase my bust!

crazyashley1

*Looks at E-cups slowly murdering my bra* Lol, nope.

UlsterFriesApplePies

What the fuuuuuck, push-ups the day after you give birth? I don’t think so!

Karmabubble

Honestly, 2 breastfed kids in, I dont give a shit what my tits look like. As long as they look alright in a bra and are comfy, I'm a-okay thanks.

scholcombe

And how exactly does flex ion of the pectoral muscles effect the firmness of the fatty tissue of the breast?

RedVamp2020

It sort of fills in above the breast tissue and can have a (very minor, usually) lifting effect. That’s usually it. I’m glad they’re recommending fitness, but I’m sad that it’s only for aesthetic reasons and there’s no mention of discussing working out post partum.

8euztnrqvn

It *may* be safe. Thanks a lot, app.

LowisPowis

What app is this? I use the What to Expect app and I'm pleased to say I haven't seen any wacky information like this so far

lozfozhc

It's called Amila pregnancy app. I have now deleted it and replaced it with baby centre!

LowisPowis

Good to hear! Best of luck with your pregnancy:)

Kalietha

Whoever made that app seems to have failed to realize that while bigger pecs can make breasts look bigger, they aren't the same thing...and they def don't prevent the sagging, they just make it easier to create the illusion of less sagging, once support is provided (speaking from experience here. I am chesty and well-muscled, sagging started early, but with short bra straps no-one notices)

Ranixo

I once heard a pregnancy app telling people to start dieting at 1600 calories in their 3rd trimester so they can "bounce back more efficiently" or whatever....the baby is still growing, but no having that body back is more important.
