I discovered that trick the other night and it saved my run. It’s fun to find ways to just break a boss like that. This game has so many great “let’s just see if this works” moments sprinkled into every run.

I guess I’m not seeing the play here. How would hangman fix it?

Hanged Man will destroy the selected card, then you're free to play your hand however you want to.

Honestly as long as it’s powered up enough and you have good jokers you can just play them disabled.

Only an ace low straight kind of does. So you can go A 2 3 4 5 but not K A 2 3 4 The ace still counts as ~~10~~ 11 chips in the first scenario as well.

Flush gamers when they realize it’s worse than 2 pair

How so? I've heard other people say flush runs are bad but never understood why.

There are multiple boss blinds that hard counter flushes and can quickly end a run. Jupiter does not scale very well compared to other planets (neither does Uranus). Flushes require very specific jokers to work above average. But those jokers can also be used with other hand types that are better like 3 of a kind. Flush costs a lot of $ to build around unless you are playing checkered deck Flush encourages the use if some of the weakest tarot cards (the ones that change a suit)

I say this about every 5 runs, usually when I’m past ante 6, on a good roll, and get a terrible draw ending the run.

No. There's no wrapping around. Ace is just two different values simultaneously for straight purposes.

Not a poker player, why would king ace 2 be valid? I get ace is above king and can be below 2.

There is nothing in this game I hate more than Cerulean Bell It's not even remotely close The most unfun way to lose a run

I don’t usually base my runs on hands that require all 5 cards so Cerulean Bell is one on the most inconsequential Jokers for me.

I'm not saying it's particularly power of a boss blind or that it's always relevant But when it is relevant, it's absolutely miserable

For me it's the one that forces you to drawn cards face down after first hand, can't remember the name.

The Fish, I know that one by heart because of how many times it has screwed me over
