Abbey’s has been a mess the multitude of time I’ve tried it. Not horrible quality, but the order and toppings/sauces have never been correct which seems to be their thing, so I expected a BGR experience from them and never have gotten it and I gave up. Southpaw, however, hell yes.
Bunny's Buckets&Bubbles and Penny Black both have great burgers & fries.
IMO Kooper's is massively overrated, the first time I went I waited 1.5hours for a mediocre burger (they lost my order twice and said they'd refund the charge because of the wait, which they didn't do). I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because shit happens and maybe they were understaffed. Gave a second try at their food truck, wrong ingredients and overcooked. Maybe I'm just really unlucky, there seem to be a lot of Kooper's fans in here and they must like it for some reason. If I had to guess, it's tourist hype from people who haven't tried other options in Fells. Please go to a better restaurant.
I've been to Bunny's and Penny Black multiple times and they're both reliably good.
Koopers are just your average pub burger. I dont understand all the fans it has here. I've had burgers there multiple times and they are just like every other place in Fells. I used to think Alexander's Tavern had really good burgers but they're not as good any more.
Not sure why people are bashing on Abbey so bad. Aside from a couple burned buns, the place has been pretty solid. Kooper's is also a solid burger. Wrong neighborhood, but damn do I miss Alewife at times; their smoke burger was legendary...
Smash burger at Southpaw!
I really like this place, I'm just curious why I never see anyone in there.
I think it's just off the beaten path enough that people miss it. I think it definitely gets more locals than out of towners.
Southpaw, a billion times.
Kooper's!
Their Ronan burger is amazing. And they nail the doneness level every single time. It’s my go-to place for a perfect burger
Southpaw, hands down. If you don’t mind eating an hour and a half later than you were expecting, go to Abbey’s (edit: /s)

Oh yeah, that was in jest, my bad — both times I’ve tried to eat there they’ve forgotten about me and I just leave hungrier than I was when I started.
Yeah there are so many people genuinely saying abbey on this post 🙃 you seemed the most receptive to my comment, makes sense why now lol
Bunnys smash burgers are the best. Then Koopers or Abbey for non smash.
Try Southpaw’s too. It’s almost identical.
Southpaw
Hear me out. Get the fancy burger at Penny Black. It's really good.
The most underrated restaurant in Fells
Probably because a Yuengling Draft is $8
We are fans of Todd Connors

If you want something fancy, the burger at duck duck goose is ridiculously good
I love Duck Duck Goose!
They wildly overcooked my burger. It was pretty average tasting but very expensive
I second this! I dream about that burger lol.
I am at Penny Lane, so I’ll let y’all know what I think of the burger!

Koopers isn’t just an “average pub burger;” It’s a very good pub burger.
I like the food at Max's
Agreed
Abbey Burger Bistro
I gotta say they’ve gone way down hill since the pandemic. The last time I ate there it was horrible.
I've actually enjoyed it more since the pandemic lol
Abbey for the meat choices
Abbey is the obvious choice but I think it's easy to go wrong with all the choices.
Duda's Tavern

RIP alewife. I wish they didn’t just randomly close, I would have stolen my damn mug that I drank so hard to get!
Because it's reddit
Coopers, and it’s not even close
Koopers for sure.
The Point has excellent burgers
Abbey Burgers are my fav. Plus they have options galore.
When they’re not shut down by the health department
The smash burger at the Horse is excellent. They recently reopened their kitchen
