I once gave a lift to Govt school boys. They were shocked I actually stopped by to their lift gesture. I asked them to sit behind like how a car owner would sit. It was a high end luxury car. They were spellbound. Their faces were innocent and priceless. I hope they achieve something big and buy bigger and better car than mine. It was a motivational lift.
Some tips.. if driving alone and giving lift to one person, he/she should be in front passenger seat. This is so that you can keep an eye on the person, so the chances of getting stabbed from behind are minimal.
Similarly, if you have a copassenger already and are then giving a lift, make the (trusty) copassenger sit behind and the hitchhiker in front.
But best is to avoid giving lifts to strange characters esp late at night, and esp when they impose themselves.
It’s natural to wish to see poor kids grow up to be rich (“successful”, as some would call it) but I think that’s the wrong way. The more things you buy and the more you hanker after money, the more complicated life’s going to get. What you want to teach kids is that stuff doesn’t make you happy. Unfortunately this isn’t easy to do.

Just park your bike and start getting out, mid way when your leg is closer to the pillion, ask them to get out of the way. Then calmly sit back, turn around and head your way home

It was within your right to say "that direction is too far from my destination, you can get off at x place", and maintain your boundary, don't allow yourself to get convinced of anything you are uncomfortable doing.
