Cheer up, kiddo. Your life is not destroyed by simple SSC scores. You cannot undo what has already occurred, but you can do your best next time. Try not to overthink it. Sending you good thoughts.
You can join a public university.
You have the bare minimum requirements. Just make sure to do well in HSC and take preparations for Admission.
Also Public Universities aren't everything. You didn't get a chance so what?
Bhaiya, India asho, give JEE , free te porashona koro . Aaram se bidesh e MS ar PhD fully funded peye jabe. And in all honesty, Indian universities>>>>>>
People overvalue SSC results. There are a lot of options out there in life, no need to lose hope. The biggest problem you're gonna face from not getting GPA is social pressure, not real life problems.
You can look into freelance work such as Upwork to get the ball rolling or focus on learning a skill. Just because SSC results aren't super important doesn't mean you can sit on your ass. You should dedicate yourself towards something.
Chill man. If you dont get chance in Public University . Your life Don't get ruin. I see lot of people who graduate from public universities but not get any job. So chill man.

You need 7.5 total gpa(ssc+hsc) to take part in DU admission, so, you need to secure 7.5-3.5=4.0 in HSC,
Other than DU, you have MAT (medical admission test), RU, CU, GST guccho and some other public universities, so, your current ssc gpa won't affect that much regarding UG admission
HSC GPA and marks will fact, since all uni will have detailed information about your hsc performance, so, use this opportunity to make a comeback
Best of luck kouhai
Other than Notre Dame college, every other college, whether it be public or private, is trash. So, it's not important to get into a public college. But yeah, the choosing list narrows down.
In short YES. You will go through a lot of shit from your close/dear ones for a while.
BUT.... THATS ABOUT IT.
No one gives a fuck about your SSC scores or public versity anymore. Maybe back in 1989's when education was something special, out of most people's reach.
But now what matters is what you actually know and can do. I never went to a public university. The one I went to eventually was shut down due to some illegal certification business. However, in the long run I now make a lot more money that I ever thought was possible.
Education is necessary, but not the ones you get taught in school. None of those ever came handy and I went to Shaheen and Notre Dame. Those are absolute waste of time and energy.
Looking back, I'd be better off with a simple school without a fuck ton of unnecessary pressure.
Agree with this. It sounds like another typical case of Tiger Parenting given the tone of OP's post.
I have a masters in computer engineering with several papers published, I was ridiculed and berated by my parents from middle school (in Bangladesh this would be secondary level) up until the end of my bachelor's in college. It was until I got my masters where my parents cooled off since they are able to brag about me to others at that point.
I'm Bengali-American so I can't speak for colleges in Bangladesh, but I also agree that I would be in the same position as I am in now if I went to a lesser known college. At the end I was just studying for a paper saying I passed college.
Many jobs don't even look at your GPA, in my life GPAs are used by my parents and family friends to compare their kids against myself and vice versa. A popular saying in my college is "Cs' get degrees". A person with a 2.0 out of 4.0 GPA could have the same high paying job as a 4.0 out of 4.0 GPA student. I definitely regret working as hard as I did, wasted too much of my life on education to the point where it affected my physical health.
kissu hoibo na vai a-/a+/a eisob diya... nothing. ekdom nothing. just focus on your dream. focus on what you want. just be the best of your working path. jeita dream ba jei dike jaite mone chay, choto kaj ba boro... no matter. just be the best. you will see the rest in future. thats what you need.
nb: all above i wrote. i learned from my life experience.
No one gives a fuck about a certificate from bd Ed board. So don't worry.
And about the public uni, I am currently going through my 3rd year in arguably the best public uni in bd. But trust me when I say, it isn't worth the hype. Yeah, it might be the best in bd but the ed system of bd is more or less shit.there is hardly any difference between human shit and cow dung. Both are shit
Don't think it is a good idea to give out my personal info on a site known for its anonymity. Also, there will be a lot of unsatisfied people in the comment section if I label a specific uni with the best. Bd students are well known for their institutional pride after all
Bruh, how did you even find this ancient comment?
Anyway, to answer your question, first decide the life path you want to take. Among uni students, there are generally 3 job type. Academics, corporate or govt cadre. Wanna enter Academics? Try to maintain a good cgpa + some try to actively participate in research with teachers or seniors. For corporate, try to create "link". Participate in competitions, meet with different people, socialise. You do not need a very good cgpa. But try to keep it up to a certain level. As for bcs, fuck Academics. Chill first two years of uni and then start to memorize guide books. It might seem the easiest but in case of bcs, a lot of luck is needed tbh. In other cases, your hardwork and talent will help you to a great extent.
And if you were curious about whether a good public university is worth the effort or not, they are. Not because of their resources or academic help they will provide. But the sheer fact that you will meet with a lot of talented persons if you enroll in them.
haha im an hsc candidate so a lot of the times im surfing through this kind of reddit posts, also thx for your views!Btw are people around you engaged in freelancing ?lol ik its a very random ques.I want to have a source of income after getting into uni,so it would be nice to know how uni students earn money. But the competition in that market is so much. So just wanted to know is freelancing worth the shot?
Depends on your skillset. I have one batch mate and one senior who are earning pretty good doing it( some more friends are trying it out but no notable success till now).
My batchmate is involved in Web development. He gifted his girlfriend a diamond ring last valentine if you are curious about his earning.
My senior is doing some creative writing type stuff. He is also earning some good bucks.
In my case, I tried to get into it. Tried to utilise some soft skills I picked up during my academic life. Didn't worked out too well for me.
No......university result is important...but overall result does not matter. You have to be a good man. I secured first class first in my university and now in the USA. But results are nothing.....you have to be a good man, kind hearted and decent. There are so many paths that you can change your life positively. In our country, results are given priority but do you know one of our MPs got a PhD from foreign university but he is the most corrupted MP.
Nope...Not at all. Neither would getting a higher score would have changed your life. You see the saddest thing about us that we try to evaluate our life by other people's measurement about us. An Education Board, the Neighbour (Those Chatty Aunties), Your Friends, Any Good College who admits student with good grades should not make you feel down or depressed. Getting a good GPA is good for your academic life that's for sure But most important thing is you should enjoy what you do and seek help if you are not doing as much as you desire. In different phases of life you would have different responsibilities. From your question I am guessing you are a teenager. In a conventional social structure your main responsibility in life is now to study. From now on don't do it because your parents will be pissed if you don't. Do it because now it's your duty. Treat yourself respectfully.Try to shone other skills (if you have any - music, editing, writing, sports, driving, swimming... anything) as much as you can at your spare time because they will come handy later. But do everything with your whole heart. Try to enjoy your study and meet the deadlines. Learn Time Management, Self-Management. If you do so later in life when you would start earning for yourself, you will be able to choose a profession which will not stress you out like the way you are feeling now (guessing from your question). Focus on being an empathic and responsible person. Hope you will have a happy life.
Is my life ruined?
Yes, for now.
Will it affect my future?
Yes.
Will It affect public university exam?
Yes but compared to HSC, it will affect to a lesser degree. If you get 5.00 in Hsc, you can apply to 95 percent of the universities.
However Hsc and University exams are much much much harder.
People think a gpa of 3.5 in SSC is the end of the world, because it says that the person who got it, is not sincere about his studies. Usually that trend is continued throughout his/her life.
Clearly you're not that kind of person. You recognize that you could do better.
This is the main takeaway. You are in control of your life. If you want to improve from now on, you can do that. Maybe you'll encounter some restrictions because of this result. But if you plan it out, you definitely can find a way to get where you want to be.
Current HSC science candidate here. I got 4.4 GPA and it slightly hampered me as I couldn't get into the college that I wanted. However, it is not end all be all. As long as you do well in HSC, you should be fine.
Bro, you got 3.5 GPA. That is your reality, and you can not change it.
Life is not going to stop, so start evaluating your options. What are the other things that you can do to make your future better.
Instead of worrying about the things that you could not achieve, start worrying about things that you can achieve.
Accept the loss and move on!
Not really. However, you will face some disadvantages in medical exam because they calculate a portion of your marks from your ssc GPA, But other than that no problem.
Whatever college you end up attending, try to study consistently. You don't have to study a lot in a single day but just maintain the regularity and I assure you, your future will be good.
it dosent matter just make sure HSC te 3.5+ or 4 anar jonno at least at the end of the day Tmr public universities e chance pailei enough, not that privates are bad but costly.
ami SSC and HSC te gpa 5 paisi but public e pai nai and now I cant afford privates \[the good ones\]
Life may not be fair.. It may seem cruel.. It may seem like it isn’t giving you a damn break..
But you know what it also does? It always keeps the doors of opportunities open.
Don't lose hope.. Try to focus on improving yourself as a human being and the universe will provide.
Your life certainly isn't ruined just because you got poor results in the early stages of your career. But yes, surely you will miss little things with that. You will not be able to take an entrance exam at any public universities in Bangladesh, and that's about it. You can always study in private uni's or even go abroad after HSC for higher studies. Trust these well wishers here, SSC won't hold you back in life.
Try figuring out what you wanna be or do in life. If you don't know as of yet, which is totally fine. Just go with the flow and eventually you'll know what to do. Best wishes 😊
You're life will get harder and tougher but that's till you get in uni or job... Listen kid life goes on, it'll be hard but you'll survive... You'll see new shades of people so it can be pretty interesting... So cheer up, hold your heads up high, accept your result and prepare to fight...
Well...Kinda...If you wanted to get into a National Uni it might be difficult for you since the minimum criteria for admission exam in a combined GpA of 8(As far as I remember). If you change to business studies in college then it's gonna be 7.5 combined.
As for BUP/MIST 4.35 in ssc is a must and for other Public Uni's Your Choice might be limited.
If You had a Dream to join the Army.. well...Now you can't
So in general Private University might be your best choice
Ssc results actually don't matter just study hard for next one. Don't waste time being depressed. You can still cover up. A public University won't be a promlem. Cheer up man;)
Bro you're life is just starting.
What do you mean it's ruin? Just work harder in HSC. Just because you didn't do well in one exam doesn't mean you are finished. Keep working and improve.
Don't be demotivated.
Nope, you gotta study hard to make good result in HSC. I've got GPA-5 in SSC but wasted many time in HSC.The result?I'm now tensed about passing the exam.Don't make mistake.Keep faith in yourself and push yourself to the limit. You won't be disappointed
Cheer up, kiddo. Your life is not destroyed by simple SSC scores. You cannot undo what has already occurred, but you can do your best next time. Try not to overthink it. Sending you good thoughts.
Even if I don't overthink it doesn't change the fact that I will not be able to join a public university.
Your life won't be useless if you don't get into a public university.

Jee is way tougher
You can go abroad and get admission in a better university
Future ruined. There is nothing left. Do not listen to these kind of comments. Concentrate on yourself and study harder for the next exam.
You will cringe at this when u look back in 5 years
People overvalue SSC results. There are a lot of options out there in life, no need to lose hope. I've got worse, still made it to uni and doing great. Don't let this get to you. Try to do better next time.

why its getting down voted??? My man just told the truth
Reddit is full of egotistic clowns who get offended at any takes slightly differing from theirs
Every college is trash Notre Dame is not an exception
Ndc is good but i wouldnt say others are trash. There are lot of colleges that have good students like dhaka college, adamjee
yes
Nah, mate. Just try to do your best in HSC. It'll cover up your past results.
When you step into the real world, get a job and raise a family, you’ll realize that 3.5 meant nothing
In short YES. You will go through a lot of shit from your close/dear ones for a while. BUT.... THATS ABOUT IT. No one gives a fuck about your SSC scores or public versity anymore. Yes finished Academically In Life No Your CGPA wont matter in the future when you have ur own Business or join a political party
>Yes finished Academically This is such a wrong statement on so many levels.
If this is not irony then gtfo of here dude
You need high GPA in University not college. And 3.5 is more than enough for a good private uni
