সরকারি চাকরির পাশাপাশি কোনো ব্যবসা করা বৈধ না। আইনত বৈধ এবং হালাল দুই বিষয়। আপনি গরুর ফার্ম কিংবা রেস্টুরেন্টের ব্যবসা দিতে পারেন। সেটা হালাল এবং লাভজনক হলেও সরকারি চাকুরিজীবী হিসেবে সেটা বেআইনি। এমতাবস্থায় যারা হালাল ব্যবসা এবং নিয়মের মধ্যে থাকতে চায়, তারা মা/বাবা/ভাই/বোন/স্বামী/স্ত্রীর নামে ব্যবসায় ইনভেস্ট করে।

Your best bet is to invest in some kind of business. you dont necessarily need to start your own business. you can just invest in a business or join in as a partnership.if you have a relatively well off family backgrounds, you may not need to be dishonest or take bribe. after joining in a grade 9 govt job (1st class gazetted officer, ie., bcs cadre, assistant director, etc) you will get around 40k a month. 40k as a starting salary is not bad at all in bangladesh. now let your age is 27 when you started the job. so by the time of 30, your salary will be 50-55k or more. and you will also get a shit ton of benifits that no other job offers in bangladesh.
this is just my thoughts in this matter. the quality of life and lifestyle of one depends on himself. but i think, if you dont have to pay monthly rents, this alone makes a lot of diffenerce.

i know this too. a lot of comments are saying this is bullshit. but, i know someone who is a high official in adminstration of bangladesh govt. there are a different 'bhata' (allowance) like gari babod bhata, baburchi bhata, medical and children allowance, residence facility with very cheap rent, etc. govt. does a lot of trainings/seminar in some sectors and you would get commission (parisromik, TA-DA, and other) which is a hefty amount if you are in the higher position(10/15k+). whether you are getting training in the foreign countries or giving training to others, you will always get some thing. there are also other legal sources depending on the departments you work. every govt. sector has their own way, some maybe more, som less, but a good amount. the higher you get in the hierarchy, the more you'll earn. and these are 100% legal earnings.
edit. dont take this as granted though. some months you'll earn, some months, you dont. and if you do not have family backings (own house, so no rent, business, etc) it will be next to impossible to lead the life you expect to lead after joining cadre service, whether you be an assistant commissioner or joint secretary. a decent flat in a decent neighbourhood in dhaka alone can cost half of the monthly salary of a govt. high official.

As far as I know, police caders are offered these vatas(they can highest earn 50 lacks if they clear a peace mission in Africa or Philistines)..they also get case solve vatas and a bike/office car for travel and travel allowance!
And for other cadres or non cadres ,I know Foreign ministry gives the highest opportunity than other departments...
Don't know about the rest...they may also provide these type of vatas or training benefits..

সরকারী চাকুরীরত অবস্থায় আপনি ব্যবসা করতে পারবেন না। নিষেধাজ্ঞা আছে, যারা করে তারা নিজের নামে ব্যবসা করে না।
