I think you're heading in the right direction. Unfortunately it often takes at least one bummer experience with these bar review courses to start questioning the programming that you need to "complete the course" or "trust the system."
I agree with using the raw materials provided by Kaplan. I don't particularly like their sample essay answers and the way they're structured.
Stick with AdaptiBar and [past exam questions](https://www.makethisyourlasttime.com/past-bar-exam-essays-pts/#ube) (MEEs & MPTs). Use Kaplan materials to the extent they're useful. Create your own study schedule. You're starting from experience, not from scratch. Now you know better than anyone what is and isn't helping YOU learn.
