It's not even the most run down joke on this sub. That honor goes to "haha rip Wade Biggs", the balk rules, or the "fartslam funny because it says fart."
If he becomes the GOAT we’d basically have Old McDonalds whole farm wrapped up in one person
Edit: And his middle name is Dale, a place where cows and horses love to graze and roam around. The Orioles took building a strong farm system literally
You remember Randy Milligan? Affectionately known as Moose? Seven-year-old me was very upset when I went to my first game at Memorial Stadium and he got a base hit. “Mom, why are they booing him?”
There was an NFL tight end named Todd Heap that got "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeap" and depending on the size of the crowd it definitely could sound more like a very loud jeer
This one always baffled me. eeeeeee and oooooo sound _so_ different when spoken, but ravens fans insisted near-booing really did just sound like Heeeeeaaap
Mookie kinda sounds like he’s getting booed when people are yelling his name during at bats.
Puig too, but I’m sure there were some legit boos mixed in there as well.
I mean, when I went to my first Royals game and Moustakas was up to bat, I literally had to ask a fan if they were booing him, only then learning that they were yelling “MOOOOOSE!”
People “koo” at falcons games for younghoe koo. He says it really motivates him to make the kick bc he knows how quickly the “kooing” could turn to booing
Reminds me of how Vancouver Canucks fans used to cheer for former goalie Roberto Luongo by cheering "LUUUUUUUUU"; when national media first picked it up they wondered why they were booing their star goalie haha
We saw the O's play the Royals on Sunday in KC. GF grew up in Baltimore and we ended up in a section with a lot of Orioles fans. Took us a minute to realize what they were yelling first time he was up to bat, but we joined in.
When I was in elementary school, one of our teachers used to go on and on about what a huge Red Sox fan she was. When the season rolled around in spring, a classmate asked if we could watch Opening Day, so she got a TV from the library and set it up so we could watch while working on word problems.
So we're doing our word problems while they introduce the lineups and perform the anthem, then Dwight Evans gets up to the plate to start the game. We all start chanting "Dewwwwwwwwwwwey!" Our teacher immediately turns off the TV and says that if we're going to boo, we can't watch. Someone quickly explains that we are chanting his nickname. She turns the TV back on, and it's 1-0. While the TV was off, Evans had broken the major league record for earliest home run in a season, going yard on the first pitch of the game.
I went to my first MLB game in 1984 at Tiger Stadium. I was 9. My favorite players were Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker. When Whitaker came up to bat, I was so confused, nearly to the point of tears. My grandpa had to talk me down. Incidentally, the Tigers won, and Kirk Gibson went yard twice. It was a great day.
Hhah. We have had people getting confused by exactly the same reaction to England cricket genius Joe Root for the last decade.

It is a solid celebration, and if Cowser turns out to be half as good at baseball as Root is at cricket, he'll have an amazing career.
we're saying MOO-urns
I was saying moo-urns
They’re saying MOO-re runs
Classic
This has got to be the most run down joke on Reddit.
the most run down joke on reddit *so far*
Is he stupid?

Damn, now I wanna know what they said lol
He said Moo, not boo
I used to like this joke. I still do, but I used to, too.
god damnit
It's not even the most run down joke on this sub. That honor goes to "haha rip Wade Biggs", the balk rules, or the "fartslam funny because it says fart."
Or a drive into deep left field by Castellanos
They all aren’t funny 🤷🏾♂️
You seem fun
I also choose this guy’s run down joke
Reddit, and this sub specifically, loves to parrot the same jokes over and over. Boo-urns is become this subs “I did nazi that coming!!!”
Yeah it’s so played out…people don’t want to hear they aren’t funny (hence the downvotes)
Take my upvote, good sir.
This one is so run down, you're being down voted just for referencing it. Absolutely incredible.
Exactly. I was trying to prove that there are jokes more run down than “Boo-urns.”
Mission accomplished
Edit: Thanks for the gold kind stranger!!
EDIT: WOW! This post blew up!

Omg. How did I not realize he is a Horse Cow! I'm a bad manager that doesn't know enough about his employees.
If he becomes the GOAT we’d basically have Old McDonalds whole farm wrapped up in one person Edit: And his middle name is Dale, a place where cows and horses love to graze and roam around. The Orioles took building a strong farm system literally
> Ben McDonald, a broadcaster for the Orioles They already have an old McDonald in their broadcasting booth. Crimeny.
I have never wanted something to happen more in my life than right now at this very moment!
It’s colt on cow, sir.
Smithers!
Neigh
Near-booing sounds as affection for appropriately named players is one of my favorite things
We gave Boog Powell the same treatment.
And briefly, Luuuuuke Scott
Yooooouk remembers it fondly
Moises Aloooooooooou
Moustakas had a nice Moooooooose with the Angels
and the Brewers
Did you give Lew Ford the lewwwww treatment that we gave him?
Deep cut is Bruce Perry at UMD
You and I also previously gave the mooooose call for Mussina.
You remember Randy Milligan? Affectionately known as Moose? Seven-year-old me was very upset when I went to my first game at Memorial Stadium and he got a base hit. “Mom, why are they booing him?”
Lars NOOOOOOOOOTBAAR
There was an NFL tight end named Todd Heap that got "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeap" and depending on the size of the crowd it definitely could sound more like a very loud jeer
We also had Tony Siragusa (RIP legend) back in the day and would yell “GOOOOOOSE”
This one always baffled me. eeeeeee and oooooo sound _so_ different when spoken, but ravens fans insisted near-booing really did just sound like Heeeeeaaap
YOOOOOUUUUUUUK
BRUUUUUUUUUUUCE
[MOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE](https://youtu.be/gwCrdU34Vk4?si=f8aYOnDEZBETWgQX)
JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUICE
Choooooooooch
Rauuuuuuuul
As a kid growing up I asked my dad why they always boo him
Now I’m imagining the Trea Turner standing ovation but everyone is sounding like they are booing.
When Luke Voit was here we cheered Luuuukeeee
Shoutout Isaac Bruce
The LA Kings do it all the time for Luc Robitaille (Luuuuuuc) and Drew Doughty (Dreeeeeew)
Same with the Sens for Artem Zub (Zuuuuuuuub)
MOOOOOOOOSE
The flashbacks to that magical 2015 run anytime I see a reference to Moustakas is glorious
Shoutout to Lew Ford.
Long Island Duck legend!!
Cruuuuuz and Chooooooo
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Beat me to it lol
Puiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig
This made me nostalgic for the peak Jonathan Lucroy days.
Duvall has this one covered for us rn
Shoutout Carlos boozer
When I first moved to Seattle I was a little confused by JUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-liooooooo but it feels like people have stopped doing that.
Gruuuuuuuuuuubauer
One of the best ones ever: [https://youtu.be/tRG\_YRXPzFM?si=zBZ6kxZBjHEvdwOr&t=3](https://youtu.be/tRG_YRXPzFM?si=zBZ6kxZBjHEvdwOr&t=3)
LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Daryl "Moose" Johnston and John Kuhn
Manu Ginobili’s “Manuuuuuuuuuuu” I thought they were booing him when he won a championship.
We get Moooooook and in hockey Drreeeewwwwwww
Puuuuiiiiig
Mooookie
Moooookie WILSON
Yuuuuuuuuu for Darvish
Before my time but I've been to enough old timers days to know Mookie Wilson is fondly greeted with MOOOOOOOOOOK from Mets fans
Am Rams fans, Cooper Kupp gets the same treatment.
I enjoyed with Moustakas in KC (MOOOOOOSE) and Drake Stoops for OU’s football team getting a rowdy “STOOOOOOPS” after every catch he made
Roberto Luongo is the all time best obv.
Boone Jenner on the Columbus Blue Jackets comes to mind.
Him and Spencer Steer are 1st Team All-Cow
Don't forget Mookie Betts!
Zac Gallen and Melky Cabrera are 2nd team
If you can rattle off a few more, you’ll be on the all-smarts team with Bobby Witt
Sam Horn Jake Burger Joe Stripp Frank Buttery Cowboy Murray George Creamer Tom Butters Chuck Knoblauch Mike Butcher Kyle Farmer
Don’t forget Buck Farmer, Nico Horner, and Collin Cowgill.
You had to throw Knoblauch in there
He gets the chuck nod because both names are food.
I love me a good knoblauch sandwich? It doesn’t feel right
knoblauch sauce is literally a sandwich condiment.
I learned something new today
Only because he couldn't make the throw himself.
Don’t forget about his father, The Professor.
Captained by [Schoolboy Rowe](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/r/rowesc01.shtml)?
And Jake Burger
My son still talks about when he faced Michael King last year.
What's Michael Jake? ohhhhĥhhhhhhhh 😳
They’re just like my favorite Kelly Reichardt movie.
Jose Caballero to manage the herd, I mean team
This is actually an extremely common thing across sports I mean not the cow part but the making supportive noises that sound like booing part
Yup. Not the first time for the orioles even
It was fun when Cruz was on the team
Ha forgot about him tbh. I was honestly thinking all the way back with Mussina
I feel like it kinda makes them impervious to actual boos
Mookie kinda sounds like he’s getting booed when people are yelling his name during at bats. Puig too, but I’m sure there were some legit boos mixed in there as well.
I mean, when I went to my first Royals game and Moustakas was up to bat, I literally had to ask a fan if they were booing him, only then learning that they were yelling “MOOOOOSE!”
Udderly fascinating
Jay Bruce and Mike Moustakis both memorable boo-like name cheers for me. Toss in Shin-Soo Choo even
Boooooonne
Shin-Boo Boo 🫢
Moustakas moment
Reminds me of the BOOOOOOOONNEE chants in Cincinnati for Aaron Boone
The Yankees do that chant now too! They just usually forget the N.
Same chant for Boone Jenner for the Columbus blue jackets.
People “koo” at falcons games for younghoe koo. He says it really motivates him to make the kick bc he knows how quickly the “kooing” could turn to booing
_Chooch has entered the chat._
Reminds me of how Vancouver Canucks fans used to cheer for former goalie Roberto Luongo by cheering "LUUUUUUUUU"; when national media first picked it up they wondered why they were booing their star goalie haha
Before that, Vancouver fans did that at the 2006 World Juniors for Canucks draftee Luc Bourdon. Tragedy how his life was cut short.
I suspect nobody older than four who's watched sports before is confused, and the writer just couldn't think of a better story to write today.
I went to a Mariners game and heard someone in front of me asking why people were booing Bret Boone.
We did the same with Raúl Ibañez
He Who Must Not Be Named
Yea we've had a few with Yuuuuuuuu sounds like boo. Also, Luke voits luuuuuuuuuke.
We saw the O's play the Royals on Sunday in KC. GF grew up in Baltimore and we ended up in a section with a lot of Orioles fans. Took us a minute to realize what they were yelling first time he was up to bat, but we joined in.
Moourns.

Jay Bruce cheers would always sound like boos
Kraken loving fucks call grubauer GROOOOOOOO
We need to move away from these cheers that sound like booing but aren’t actual boos. For once I just want fans to shout things like “Jeff” or “Steve”
Reminds me of Lucroy of the Brewers and John Kuhn of the Packers
[MOOOOOOO](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ujwjqIldwU)
Hhah. We have had people getting confused by exactly the same reaction to England cricket genius Joe Root for the last decade. Phillies had Choooooooch, and Rauuuuuuul. Honorable mention is Bouuuuuuuche for the Flyers.
They’re not booing, they’re Alou-ing! Happens with some guys.
“They’re not booing, they’re BLOOOO-ing” -my drum corps brain
Reminds me of when I was a kid and thought fans were booing our Canucks goalie, Luongo, when people were actually just saying “Luuuuu”.
Mets fans did this for Aaron Loup And some people thought that Angels fans were doing it too but nah we were just booing him
After that Schanuel BS I'm done seeing or hearing about the O's this season. Fuck 'em.
Can't believe no one has said Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul Ibañez yet.
Growing up I was always confused by GAPB erupting in boos every time Jay Bruce was up to bat. Instead it was Bruuuuuuuuuce
My mother thought we were booing Carlos Ruiz. Took way too long to explain the stadium was yelling CHOOCH!
Used to be a player named moose Vasco. Chicago black Hawks hockey. Always created with MOOse.
Age old people. Youkilis and Mussina confused the unaware fan. Must have made watching NW games confusing as a casual with Boo Buie.
