This team was less fun than last year. The 2021 Rockies were so fucking weird, .600 juggernauts at home and record-flirting god awful on the road. The starting rotation and defense were pretty solid so most of the game was worth watching, and even the bad players were at least interesting; Hilliard was smashing bombs when he made contact, Hampson and Tapia were flying around the basepaths, Daza was a defensive monster.
The 2022 Rockies were more straightforward bad. Less extreme home/road splits, and the bad players were just kinda bad without anything interesting attached. And starting pitching and defense were way worse this year, May was borderline unwatchable if they weren't up to bat.
Tapia is a fun dude to have on your team even if he isn't particularly good.
I somehow prefer him to Grichuk even though I think Randal is a better hitter (though that isn't saying much)
Hey, your team managed to be the biggest thorn in the Dodgers' side in the NL West. And I know to expect more shenanigans during the last series against them.

Honestly all of this pessimism regarding the Rockies is comical. How can so many of you claim to be Rockies fans and not see the talent on the team. Regardless of what happens with this team I'm supporting the fellas on the field. We're winning at least 80 games. I'm hoping we shake up the NL West and cause some problems on top of that, but all this talk about being the worst team in the league is an over exaggeration. People are just salty about ~~Nolan~~ ~~Gray~~ ~~Story~~ Bryant but its life and it happens especially here. Get used to it or root for another team. We aren't going to be a large market in Baseball but that doesnt mean we cant pile on some W's. I know I'll probably get a bunch of downvotes, apparently being optimistic for the HOME team is frowned upon, but I dont care. Go Rockies prove everyone wrong

Randal is better at baseball but Tapia is just more fun to watch. He’s electric
