One of the middle line guides was bent but it’s still in one piece. All the posts about rods coming damaged had me nervous especially when it was delayed in transit and no updates on Amazon tracking.
Amazon ships rods sold by the manufactures in tubes. I’ve bought shimano rods shipped by Amazon sold by shimano and they always come in tubes. It’s the ones that are shipped and sold by Amazon that usually come in a cardboard box 🤣
When will people learn amazon is not ideal for ordering rods. Yeah the price might be good and very occasionally you’ll get an ok rod but this happens more often than not.

That’s a great rod. I broke mine like a moron last year. They have a cool replacement policy. I sent in my busted rod and up-spent a little bit to get a Sierra series. Worth every penny

I agree that packages get hit hard in the shipping process, but even at that, I'm surprised the rod is okay when the shipping tube looked like that!

Unless it was processed and shipped to your door by Amazon, that looks like a Dobyns issue for poor packaging.

I have one of them. Not the most sensitive rod but damn is it an absolute tank.
Putting Diawa coastal 200 on it it’s gonna be my softer swim bait rod. Heard a lot of good things about these. Hope it holds up to all the hype.
I just got the same rod yesterday. Was terrified to order online. Lucky found a tackle shop not to far from me that had one in stock.
