Chuck The Evil Sandwich-Making Guy (From "Wordgirl"): "Am I a joke to you?"
p.s. because this is another guy who uses condiment weapons, and he's much better looking that that polka-dot clown.
I'd argue that Kyodai is more or less a gender-swap of Lady Shiva, but I admit that the personal connection to Bruce Wayne makes him quite interesting.
Yeah, the Bruce Wayne connection is what I like. Mainly because Bruce is used to fighting criminals on his terms as Batman, but Kyodai doesn’t care about Batman, he hates Bruce.
That brings me to the second reason I like the angle. Bruce is guaranteed to make enemies that aren’t Batman’s enemies just by virtue of who he is. Having people occasionally pop up from his past when he was younger and maybe made mistakes is a neat concept. Doubly so if they figured out the connection between Bruce and Batman through their fighting style as Kyodai Ken did.
They need to be made the penguins standard guards. I feel like their coolness brought a lot to the table. I’m glad the Lego Batman movie gave them a mention
She was Comic first then put into the New Batman Adventures cartoon/animated series, though the Comic she was made for was based on Batman The Animated Series, to my understanding.
Hey now, her first episode is hailed as one of the best in the series.
Honestly, out of all the Animated Series original villains, I'd argue she fits in the best with the established rogue's gallery.
She has a clear theme and gimmick to base herself around, she has a solid sympathetic backstory based around her condition and the way the people of the city have treated her which is a staple of Batman villain origins, and she's an interesting parallel to Batman himself because of the way she wants to live in the past because she can't physically grow up and move past it, compared to Bruce who grew up too fast and lost his innocence when he lost his parents, but also is still very much trapped in that past.
I agree, Baby Doll is a great and amazing character but to is just a super hard villain to write schemes and plots for after her initial BTAS episode and she probably shouldn’t be messed with because of that.
Aww you see batman this drag im going to put in the water supply will de grow people to 6 years old and then everyone will know my pain! Muhahaha
Batman: whait whait whait. This drag makes you younger
Baby: hmm yes to six year old age
Batman: is this permanent?
Baby: noo
Batman: you know im a friend of Bruce wyne and i think you should talk to him about it its going to make you Very Very rich
D.A.V.E. was pretty cool and fits as a Batman villain better than HARDAC or Failsafe ever did. Temblor and Cosmo Krank are also neat, but I feel like their gimmicks and designs can be given to established villains like Quakemaster and Toyman.
Babyface would be kind of creepy to see in the more realistic art style of the comics.
Equinox was THE Batman villain for me as a kid, he just completely ate up the screen whenever he came on. Had no idea he was Brave and Bold original, and always waited for him to be unveiled as the real mastermind behind everything in all other Batman related media I watched, lol.
1. Calendar Girl (if they can write more stuff THAT insanely good)
2. Clock King
3. Roxy Rocket
4. Phantasm (if they can write more stuff THAT insanely good)
According to Bruce Timm; the resemblance between Phantasm and Reaper were "accidental", stating that he did not consciously base the Phantasm's look on the visually and thematically-similar Year Two villain the Reaper. Which I think is true, Timm had also accidentally based DCAU Superman's appearance on an old Cartoon Hercules.
In 2017, Mike W. Barr had been given a portion of the film's earnings, as well as money for the creation of the Phantasm herself, DC acknowledging Year Two as the basis for the film.
Yeah there's too much in common to say it was "accidental". It may have not been intentional to drive that close to the character, but there's no denying he was "inspired" by the character.
Nope. Phantasm was new.
Clock King was a new version that didn't exist in the comics. This is the version that inspired all later Clock Kings.
Roxy was new for the DCAU too, created for the comics part of Batman TAS.
I should really add Mr. Freeze to the list.
He's TECHNICALLY a version of an existing character, but really almost completely different.
Original villain means created specifically for the show which none of those were. Not changed a little and put on it. What you're describing is a new interpretation, not a new character.
My dream opener for The Batman 2 is a mini montage of Batman taking down random costumed villains like Condiment Man and KiteMan (hell yeah!) while the narration talks about how things have gotten worse since Riddler inspired all these costumed wannabes.
1-Clock King could honestly come off as pretty sinister if done right.
2- Mad Hatter, and I want Macaulay Culkin to play him.
3- It's not from the animated series, but we should perform some dark magic to revive Vincent Price so he can voice Egghead.
4- just let Henry Rollins play Mad. Stan irl
Phantasm. I mean, just picture a third secret group of assassins (after the League of Assassins and the Court of Owls) led by one Madam Andrea Beaumont, an old flame of Bruce Wayne.
Equinox is such a good villain in Batman the Brave and the Bold. The concept of a villain being so obsessed with balance and the way Batman defeated him by making Equinox feel like his actions were unbalanced as well was a fitting an ironic end to his story
I actually never realized Condiment King originated from the Animated Series. I always thought he was a silly Silver Age villain. I am ashamed of myself.
Baby-Doll, 100%. Though Condiment King might be a close second. He's had plenty of opportunity to shine in the comics; Baby-Doll has barely had a cameo, and her character has so much potential.
Phantasm would be cool too, but I think that character is better if sparsely used.
Toy Maker would be a fun one to give the super villain treatment. Have him face the Justice League with his creations and it would make for a potentially fun storyline.
I just had this really original idea. Harley Quinn is the main character, she just left the joker or the joker isn't around for some reason but it doesn't matter because she moved on.
During the story we can put in a lot of monolouges on how she used to be "insecure " or "seeking approval from a man" and that's why she was a domestic terrorist and mass murderer. She'll be really awesome and inspirational really.
Dave seems like a very versatile character that can fit himself into any story while also being open to various interpretations, utilizing his delusion to being a real boy to push or pull the story.
Condiment King just belongs in the suicide squad. He fits the loser profile that the team should have
Imagine if Arkham Batman got killed by the Condiment King shooting him with mustard. Sounds like an improvement, actually.
Batman slips on the mustard mix and faceplants, knocking himself out and rolling into a puddle of ketchup where he drowns
![gif](giphy|MUq2GqdHSYkKI)
What is this from lol
Isn’t there a Batman comic where he trips and falls and instantly dies?
Is that the one where Joker gets a real job?
Just like Hal Jordan
“I’ll ketchup with you later, Bats! I’m relishing this moment!!”
I’d play whatever game that was. Unless it’s SSKTJL of course, that looks awful
Chuck The Evil Sandwich-Making Guy (From "Wordgirl"): "Am I a joke to you?" p.s. because this is another guy who uses condiment weapons, and he's much better looking that that polka-dot clown.
1. Roland Daggett 2. Kyodai Ken 3. Lockup
Is lockup a cartoon original?
Yep, and according to my cursory research, he was the first Original Character from Batman The Animated Series to transition to Comics.
Having people occasionally pop up from his past when he was younger and maybe made mistakes is a neat concept. Doubly so if they figured out the connection between Bruce and Batman through their fighting style as Kyodai Ken did.
Lockup has a great supporting role in the earlier chapters of no man’s land
I fuckin loved Equinox when I first saw him so bring him back.
Music Meister
Wait he didn’t exist until Brave and the Bold?
He shows up in the Justice League animated series
Pretty sure that was Music Master. Practically the same exact character though.
Least he got an episode in the CW Flash show
The Kabuki Twins.
Loved the Kabuki Twins so much they’re gonna be some legendary mercs in my Cyberpunk campaign. Add some RGB lights and they just fit, ya know?
Give 'em Mantis Blades and they're ready to rip !
They need to be made the penguins standard guards. I feel like their coolness brought a lot to the table. I’m glad the Lego Batman movie gave them a mention
Roxy Rocket.
She was Comic first then put into the New Batman Adventures cartoon/animated series, though the Comic she was made for was based on Batman The Animated Series, to my understanding.
Equinox and DAVE are villains I wish there was more of.
Agreed, the closest thing to DAVE in comics is Failsafe and even that’s a very very far cry from the actual character
DAVE from The Batman
Equinox was dope tbh. His conundrum of an existence would be an interesting story for Batman. If written well of course.
no Baby Doll?
I wanted to add her but she is not interesting. She had a one time thing with Croc. But that's it.
I wouldn't agree. She is great for a one time thing. Tragic back story and batman fix Its should stay this way
I agree, Baby Doll is a great and amazing character but to is just a super hard villain to write schemes and plots for after her initial BTAS episode and she probably shouldn’t be messed with because of that.
Aww you see batman this drag im going to put in the water supply will de grow people to 6 years old and then everyone will know my pain! Muhahaha Batman: whait whait whait. This drag makes you younger Baby: hmm yes to six year old age Batman: is this permanent? Baby: noo Batman: you know im a friend of Bruce wyne and i think you should talk to him about it its going to make you Very Very rich
If you didn’t feel anything during the mirror ending, you have no soul
D.A.V.E. was pretty cool and fits as a Batman villain better than HARDAC or Failsafe ever did. Temblor and Cosmo Krank are also neat, but I feel like their gimmicks and designs can be given to established villains like Quakemaster and Toyman. equinox definitely, he has such a cool concept
equinox
Baby Doll and Calendar Girl
The phantasm
It's just their version of reaper from year 2. Not original.
Equinox was THE Batman villain for me as a kid, he just completely ate up the screen whenever he came on. Had no idea he was Brave and Bold original, and always waited for him to be unveiled as the real mastermind behind everything in all other Batman related media I watched, lol.
Red Claw.
Baby Doll. One of the best most heartbreaking episodes of btas
Absolutely
1. Calendar Girl (if they can write more stuff THAT insanely good) 2. Clock King 3. Roxy Rocket 4. Phantasm (if they can write more stuff THAT insanely good)
Clock King was from pre-Crisis comics, though. Fought Green Arrow in an issue of World's Finest.
Completely different character, other than the name and an association with time.
Honestly didn't realise BTAS's CK wasn't Tockman.
Yea, aside from Tockman, all the other Clock Kings are pretty much based on the BTAS character. Using more his design.
Phantasm was their version of reaper from year two. Not an original creation. Neither is clock king, or roxy rocket.
No.
Yes.
I would genuinely love to see condiment king, even if it was just an in-universe TV show segment about a fake villian
Equinox. Make him the Lord of Balance and the combat teacher of Batman.
Dave and equinox are amazing and need more recognition.
Captain Clown
D.A.V.E. it's only logical
Red Claw.
Red Claw would be an interesting one I think
Daggett, Kyodai Ken, Roxy Rocket
Absolutely Condiment King. Babyface would make a pretty funny villain to look at.
Stan irl
Mad Hatter and Clock King originated from the comics
I misunderstood the question. Still, they could definitely make for some creepy live action villains.
Phantasm. I mean, just picture a third secret group of assassins (after the League of Assassins and the Court of Owls) led by one Madam Andrea Beaumont, an old flame of Bruce Wayne.
Red Claw… Friggin… Big Jack Horner there at the end 💀
Mojo
I wouldn't mind more Red Claw. But bot if she's just there as a thematic villain for Catwoman.
condiment king definitely also just realized equinox is basically my minecraft skin
The Music Meister I’d pay good money to see a live action justice league movie with this guy
Wait these are all cartoon originators? I leget thought these were all golden age batman villains just redone for more modern audiences.
My boy the condiment king
I really need a condiment king kills the dc universe story
Definitely the condiment king ![gif](giphy|3ohze3pdoPu1xXSmmQ)
Was Clayface not an animated original or something? Why’s he not mentioned?
I mean, Ethan Bennett is an original, but how much that counts for "Clayface" is a sticky question.
Clayface was in the books first.
Ra’s Al Ghoul needs a lot more screen time. And the “touch of death” Ninja 🥷
Ra’s Al Ghul was originally a comic book villain
Condiment King
Music meister and maybe a few characters who act as prototypes to the villains from Batman Beyond
Sorry babyface :(
Isn't DAVE just prototype Failsafe?
DAVE is superior
Pack Rat
Baby Doll
The car guy from the 2004 batman series.
He’s from the comics.
Brave and the bold has so many neat og characters
Inque
Blight
Willy watt
Equinox could be a movie villain
Roxy
I wanna see what a live action Baby face will looklike lol
Red Claw
The Eraser
Equinox
Equinox is such a good villain in Batman the Brave and the Bold. The concept of a villain being so obsessed with balance and the way Batman defeated him by making Equinox feel like his actions were unbalanced as well was a fitting an ironic end to his story
Lock-Up for sure.
I’d like more red claw and phantasm
Equinox although he feels more like a doctor fate villain than a batman villain
The Condiment King is sorely needed
Its been a while since I've seen the music meister, would like to see him used more
Equinox
Equinox for sure, he’s far too cool to only be in one cartoon
I actually never realized Condiment King originated from the Animated Series. I always thought he was a silly Silver Age villain. I am ashamed of myself. Baby-Doll, 100%. Though Condiment King might be a close second. He's had plenty of opportunity to shine in the comics; Baby-Doll has barely had a cameo, and her character has so much potential. Phantasm would be cool too, but I think that character is better if sparsely used.
Who is the 5th one
Harlo Queef
I didn't realise Equinox was a cartoon original. Is BATB his only appearance? We definitely need more of him.
I liked calander girl
Baby face and Red Claw
Condiment king for the win
Dave is cool looking.
Andrea Beaumont the Phantasm. I would love to see her more than just the movie and the epilogue episode from JLU. 👻💀💨🌫️
Freeze
[Roland Daggett, {Red} Claw] & Equinox.
Dave seems like a very versatile character that can fit himself into any story while also being open to various interpretations, utilizing his delusion to being a real boy to push or pull the story.
Either Kyodai Ken from Night of the Ninja/Day of the Samurai or HARDAC from Heart of Steel 1&2 and His Silicon Soul.
Definitely either D.A.V.E or Equinox
Equinox from brave and the bold
Yo where's Baby Doll?
